I wish this ladder was actually 23 feet
The ladder itself is solid, and great for homeowners. I hoped to use it to clean my gutters, which are 19 feet off the ground on a 2-story house. seeing this was a 23 foot ladder, I had high hopes. Alas, I decided to measure it end to end; much to my dismay, it was a little under 20 ft from end to end when fully extended. Looking at it further, the ladder itself says that the max length is 19ft 10 inches when it is completely straight. That's a few feet short of the 23 ft promised

    Get set for disappointment
My disappointment is not in the quality of the ladder but in the deception of labeling. The photo shows my new 23’ ladder alongside of my older 19’ Gorilla ladder. The tape measure, between the two ladders, is stretched and locked at 23’ in length.

      One critical flaw
Good design overall. Not terribly heavy and suites many different needs. Its critical flaw is the narrow treads though. They're about 1.5” wide and very uncomfortable to stand. They should have made them just as wide as the legs. Would have been a perfect platform

What a great ladder. So glad I did my research. This ladder is super sturdy. One great thing is that it has a base on top (most ladders like this don't) This one has a cut out that holds a gallon paint can. Very useful. The weight is less some others and is reasonably easy to handle. I really like it.

        Great ladder
I bought this ladder today to paint the stair wells in my house. I needed 14 feet reach. Other brands 22 foot ladder had 13 foot reach. This one goes 1 extra foot. I have used it in the 90 deg and Stair position. I loved it. Its very sturdy and easy to adjust. I am 280 plus pounds and I felt very secure on the ladder. I researched for a while thinking Little Giant would be the only one to buy, glad I considered this one.

            Great ladders.
These folks reinvented the ladder to be more than a way to reach elevated locations. They're ergonomic in design, great for painting or other household projects. They also feel sturdy and solid in construction. Which is nice because I'm a larger fella. My home inspector was using this 23 footer and he said he loved it. I had to have on of my own. And I've added a few others too. Wonderful product, thank you.

Gorilla Ladders 23 ft. Reach MPX Aluminum Multi-Position Ladder with Project Top is actually a very good ladder system that allows me to easily get to second floor roof lines easily. The length is not its best feature … my favorite elements if it’s light weight and compact size. I was able to easily get it to my father’s house inside a 2001 CRV without issue. Pros are that it is relatively light weight and can be handled by an average adult male without issue. It also folds into a small enough package to fit into a small SUV or easily onto a roof rack. Surprisingly, it is quite sturdy for its weight. Cons is that unfolding to its full length does require two people. Can I recommend this product … definitely yes.

This Gorilla brand ladder is a very well-designed ladder which now replaces both my extension ladder and step ladder. Additionally, due to its ability to have unequal leg length, this ladder can be used on stairs, something I had always wanted in a ladder (for painting walls beside stairs). I was very impressed with the sturdiness of the ladder, and with its steps having a combined depth of over 3 inches (see picture), I felt very sure-footed using this ladder. The top of the ladder has a tray with molded inserts (see picture) for keeping small hardware handy as well as recessed area which perfectly holds a gallon size paint can. This is really well thought out! It was very easy to lock and unlock the ladder rails (see picture of the rail lock) as well as the hinge (see picture – just press both in). It also stores very well when folded, so this is a real winner! I highly recommend this ladder.

Gotta tell you I was excited when I put this in my truck and brought it home. I have all kinds of uses for it. I love that its easy to open up extend to just the right height and then goes right back together wo any battle unlike some of the knock offs of Gorilla ladders I have had in the past. I especially like that it is light but also has wheels for easy moving around where you need to get it without having to carry it around as any ladder an be bulky. It extends to 23 full feet. I set it up on the side of might house at the peak which is 17 feet. I felt very comfortable climbing up and down the ladder. To open the ladder you simply pop in the left and right knobs and the ladder opens right up. On the sides are quick release bars you simply turn to the side and slide the ladder up to the height you want it and click back in the knobs into their locked positions. There are any number of ways you can set this ladder up including platform, extension, 6 8 10 or 12 foot regular scissor ladder. It folds up nicely and cleanly and stores very nicely in my garage with a few other things I need readily Love this ladder! I highly recommend it. I have already ordered the scaffold platform to go with it.

Great compact ladder. At over 40 lbs., it is a little heavy but it is versatile and the wheels help make it more mobile; less carrying it around. With a reach height of 23 degrees, it is great for 1 or 2 story homes as well. The project top is nice, I can now hold some tools and even a paint can on it without worrying about them falling off easily. Operating the ladder is rather simple although it does take some strength to fully extend it. The locks are simple to use. You can use this ladder to get on the roof, paint the house, on stairs, etc. It is very versatile and doesnt take up as much room as a long ladder.

The Gorilla ladder is not that heavy but it still has wheels near the bottom to roll it to where you are working. I have a smaller Gorilla folding step ladder that I really like so I was all for trying this one out. I really like that it just takes a simple twist of the locks to either lock or unlock the extensions. The adjustable legs are super handy for working on uneven surfaces like stairs.

Received this a few days ago and have already used it for reattaching a few Christmas lights. It can be used as anything from a 6 foot step ladder to a 23 foot straight ladder and anything in between. It is also good if you need to use a step ladder on steps as you can make one side longer and put the short side on the steps. This ladder isn’t light, but it is 23 feet long when extended so it is about as heavy as any heavy duty 23 foot ladder I have used. One of the things that makes it easy to move around are the wheels on the one side. You can just tilt it and wheel it wherever it needs to go!

I am a professional contractor, and I think I have my last ladder. Having had the original version of the mpx, I appreciate the new ladder with the wheels, platform, and project top. The added 1 foot of reach is a big bonus for all of those times I was just short. Pros: Added features are a large improvement on the original mpx unit. The top tray holds a paint can, hangs tools, and has recessed trays to hold screws or small parts. The work platform is very comfortable for long visits to the top. The split scaffold feature is available on this unit. Great multi use ladder, very reliable and heavy duty build 375 pound load rating Cons: Previous version of scaffold brackets do not work with this new version. Do not expect the older mpx brackets to work on these, The lip required to hold the older bracket in place does not exist, making them non usable. Hopefully they release a new version of the bracket soon that works. Ladder is a little bulky and may be heavy for some people. Top tray does not have the standard 2 inch hole to place your drill into. You can hang tools, but I prefer to place my drill in the hole rather than hang them. The platform is handy, but it obstructs the underside view of the locking mechanism. I like to see the lock, not just hear it. Maybe they should install see through vents to see the pins. This is a thinking person's ladder since you have to remember wheels up when in extension mode. I have provided a few pictures of the updates, and also of the older bracket fit for scaffold mode. Overall, this ladder is well constructed, heavy duty, and very reliable. I prefer the Gorilla brand and will be a dedicated customer after using this brand on my jobsites for over two years with no issues. I highly recommend this ladder for people who want a great multitask ladder that is compact.

This is a very solidly built versatile ladder. Most importantly, the base is wider than the ladder rungs to give a very solid footprint. All the controls for the multi positioning are large, easy to use, and VERY solidly built. When they lock the ladder into position, I am Confident they have LOCKED THE LADDER so it is not going to collapse. When I step onto the rungs there is absolutely no shaking or looseness. The tool tray on the top is attached securely and is quite useful. The wheels attached to the bottom make it easy for one person to move the ladder. With the ladder being approx. 40 lbs I can easily carry it up steps, and with a storage height of only 6 feet, I can negotiate around stairway turns. Previously I used an extension ladder for reaching our second floor cathedral ceiling, which took 2 people to carry the ladder up the stairs and always scratched a wall. I would give this ladder 6 stars if I could.

What a great ladder. I never thought I’d get excited over a ladder, but I sure did. This ladder is super sturdy and very hefty. The good thing is that if you want to transport this ladder around the house or outside, there are wheels attached to the bottom. For me, I only plan to use it as a step and extension ladder, but for the adventurous, this ladder has 28 total positions. I also like the fact that this rated as 375 lb. load capacity. My current extension ladder has a 200 lb. rating, and I always am nervous that it will collapse, as I weigh 215lbs. The ladder is very easy to unlock from it’s locked position, as it only takes a quarter turn on each rail lock. I think this is an exceptional ladder, that will last a long time. I almost forget a cool feature, there’s a tool tray built into the ladder that’s handy when you are using multiple tools.

I have owned a smaller Gorilla Ladder for close to 18 yrs. I absolutely love the old ladder and the new taller ladder is even better. It is easier to open and adjust the length of the legs. The tool tray is new and extremely handy. From a closed position to a fully open step ladder, it took about 45 seconds, the ladder legs move very smoothly for extension, with standing on a high step (safety in mind) you can easily reach 14-15 ft. It Easily adjusts to softly slopping ground or in a stairwell. At the tallest step ladder position it is higher than my single story roof line which helps to get on and off the roof. Both ends of the ladder are flared out and that wide base makes it very stable in the externded position. The wheels at the feet are small but can be useful. This ladder is heavier than a standard step ladder, if you are elderly or do not have upper body strength, this ladder may not be for you. I have owned and used many different ladders over many years and the Gorilla Ladder is the most versatile I have ever used and a better price than other brands.
