The White non-woven scrubbing pad appears to be securely bonded to a cellulose sponge. Before using on a polished Cambria quartz counter, I rubbed a *sample* of Cambria quartz vigorously with the white scrubbing pad -- and while Dry (right out of its cellophane wrap) -- (see photo). Before scrubbing, I held and inspected the sample Cambria piece at an angle to strong indirect light coming in through a window to verify it had no scratches to start with. After scrubbing, there were no scratches at all. I next vigorously dry-rubbed a section of polished black & green Granite... and No scratches at all.

This sponge works great on my tile shower floor!  The dirtiest spot in the shower is always where you stand under the water and this scrubbing sponge does a great job of cutting through the built up grime.  I know it takes a good cleaner as well but regular sponges do not have that little bit of abrasive texture to really cut through the dirt.  It does a great job and not expensive.

I used this scrub sponge with Granite Gold Shower Cleaner to clean mineral buildup on my stone shower walls. Works very well. Sprayed it on, scrubbed it a little with the Scrub Sponge, and it cleared up the mineral buildup. I have previously used the Shower Cleaner with a general purpose woven nylon scrubbing sponge, which costs about half as much. This might be a little more aggressive than the general purpose sponge. It works well, but not sure it’s worth the extra price.

There is a smooth side and a rougher side on the sponge. Both are safe to use on granite without scratching it. The rough side helps to remove stuck on food. Because it is non-abrasive, it is safe to use on stone shower walls to remove soap scum and water deposits. The product was developed for use on stone so I wouldn’t use it on glass shower doors.

The Granite Gold scrub sponge far outperforms my scrub brush. I primarily got this sponge to use on my shower wall. I did give it a test run on our granite countertops first, and it worked very well without leaving any marks. Now to the shower. I’ve tried a scrub brush with just hot water and I have tried it with cleaner. Neither method was affective in removing soap scum. I gave this scrub sponge a try with just hot water and with cleaner. It was a so-so result with hot water. With cleaner, it successfully removed the soap scum without marring the tile wall. I posted a photo. It is a bit difficult to tell, but the left side of the tile was cleaned with water and the right side was cleaned with the scrub sponge and cleaner. The size and feel of the sponge is good. I wear a large glove and it fits my hand. They didn’t cut it in any weird shapes. It is a pure rectangle. After using it, the sponge still looks new. I don’t know how long it will hold up, but it will at least give me two cleanings and it is worth the money to me.

I have been very impressed with the Granite Gold line of products. I use the clean and polish as well as a cleaning product. My granite really shines and is very smooth. This sponge seemed like a perfect fit for my cleaning arsenal. As you can see in the pictures, the sponge has a top layer which is for removing tough stuck on stuff. Since I’ve been using the other Granite Gold products, I don’t actually have any stuck on stuff. But, most of the sponge is actual sponge type material so that’s what I use. I use it to buff in the clean and shine product. I do use an additional lint free cloth for the final buffing. The sponge seems like it will last quite some time.

The Granite Gold Scrub Sponge is an upgrade to an ordinary kitchen sponge. This sponge is similar to other sponges but is a specialty item because it is designed to be used on stone surfaces. It is sponge that should not scratch or damage stone surfaces. This sponge can be used on any surface because it is just like any other sponge and works the same. It should be an addition to any kitchen that does have granite or stone counter tops because you don't want to take a chance on damaging your surfaces.

Super Effective, Perfect Size, and Great Value -- but will it hold up? Over the past several years, it seems like it's gotten more difficult to find a good quality scrub sponge -- one that is tough enough to get the job done without scratching the surface you're cleaning and doesn't get destroyed in the first few uses. Another challenge is size: scrub sponges intended to clean pots, pans, and dishes are often a bit too small for other tasks like cleaning countertops, sinks, or faucets. But the next size up tends to be so large that it's not effective at detail work. The Granite Gold Scrub Sponge fits a real need and performs well. While we have granite countertops, we actually got the sponge to clean soap scum and hard water stains off faucets and sinks in the kitchen and baths. The Granite Gold Scrub Sponge is the perfect size for this kind of work, and it's flexible enough to get into crevices or grooves. You can see what a great job it did cleaning the tub faucet and tub spout. We used the same cleaner we always do (simple dish liquid), but we got amazing results. Those chrome surfaces haven't looked that shiny in forever! It was less effective at removing a build up of soap scum on the tub surface, but again, we were using dish liquid, not a specialized cleanser. An important plus: the Granite Gold sponge did NOT scratch. We've had other scrubbers make hairline gouges in the porcelain that then collect lots of dirt. Our only concern is how long the sponge will last, especially when scrubbing really stubborn hard water stains or a backlog of soap scum. See pic of scrub side of sponge after first use. But given the reasonable price and the sparkling results, that's something we can live with. Model # GG0022

This is an interesting special-purpose product, and I'm glad I have it to take care of my new granite countertop. Ideally, it would be used with a granite cleaner, which I have. Granite Gold clearly manufactures these sponges to be packaged with its spray bottles, so if you're ordering this, either you are using a different brand of cleaning product, or you need a replacement (or perhaps you are just going to use it with water, which I'll discuss later). It would be nice if Granite Gold sold these a multi-packs, rather than this single sponge. There are two things that differentiate this sponge from standard sponges: (1) the sponge side is very dense (and not really designed to hold a lot of water, but more there just to provide a grip to the user) (2) the scrubbing side is a lot less coarse, because you don't need (or want to) scrub granite like you do a pot with caked-on grime. That makes a lot of sense to me. While most of the time I use paper towel or a cloth towel to clean my granite, sometimes you do get some sticky items stuck on a counter, and need a bit more scrubbing power to get the gunk off. This is where the Granite Gold sponge comes in handy, because you can scrub your granite clean while ensuring you don't damage it. I would have liked a bit more information on the packaging about whether this can be used with either water or a granite cleaning agent. I assume water is OK, of course, and I have no intention of pulling out my cleaner every time I use the sponge, but given the lack of detail on the packaging, it's unclear what all the uses of the product are. Overall, though, I think this is a great item to have in your kitchen if you have granite countertops. You won't use it every day, most likely, but when you want to do a weekly cleaning, it's helpful to have this on hand.

Restored my white marble. Yes, it took time, yes it took patience but the water and soap stains on my shower ledge did not just appear. It was over tine, and slowly with each cleaning, the stains are lighter, fewer and in some place gone. Overall, seems like a decent scrub sponge but nothing that makes it unique from other like products that are on the shelf.

Don't damage your beautiful granite countertops with an abrasive sponge. Granite Gold deserves their top rated reputation for granite and other natural stone products. Their cleaners, sealers and polish solutions need the right applicator. They recommend this sponge because it is made by them specificaly for natural stone countertops, including granite. Gentle enough that it won't scratch but still tough enough to remove stuck on food particles and other gooey messes. It rinses clean very easily. Our granite countertop is on our ourdoor kitchen which sees a lot of splashing grease and BBQ sauce along with blowing dirt and grime since it is outside and exposed to all kinds of weather. We love the entire Granite Gold line - including the applicator sponge- and feel that we are doing right by our granite.

The Granite Gold sponge is the perfect accompaniment for applying Granite Gold spray products. The sponge has both a smooth soft side and a rougher side, similar to a scrub sponge. It is easily used and works great to apply the products to your solid granite & stone surfaces, while thoroughly scrubbing the surface areas as needed with the scrub side of the sponge.

You wouldn't wash your car with a regular scouring pad, so why treat your expensive granite countertops any different? I didn't realize how nice mine looked until I used this quality product along with a good cleaner/polish. The texture is obviously smoother than the regular green one used while doing the dishes. Just be sure to tell everyone in the household this sponge is specifically for the countertops. My picture showed has the right side after cleaning

This is a handy 2 in 1 scrub and sponge combination which worked well on our granite kitchen counter top. It's similar to other combination cleaners we have, but both the sponge and the scrubber are denser than two of the competing brands we have used. The sponge worked well for wiping the countertop and the scrubber removed food which had dried and was stuck to the surface. There were no signs of scratching.

I have a lot of granite and travertine surfaces and this sponge works fantastic on them. The granite always looks clean, but when I run my hand over it, sometimes there is stuck on food that isn’t noticeable to the eye. I tested this sponge in a small area and it left no scratches, so I was able to clean the entire surface. It is safe on granite, marble, travertine and all other natural stone. I have no marble, but I can attest to it being safe on granite and travertine.

I use many Granite Gold products for my granite - cleaner, polish, and sealer. They just came out with cleaner and polish wipes which are very convenient. As far as cleaning stone, it is best to use this scrubbing pad versus others which can scratch. This scrub sponge is nonabrasive but is a very good cleaner. We use this to remove water deposits and soap scum from our shower, in addition to our countertops.

This is great to use on granite countertops, it has a soft sponge side and then the scrubber side. I also use these on my natural stone tile in my master bath to get the soap scum off. Using it on the granite we use it with a granite cleaner. Has never scratched and is easy to reuse. It's a Cellulose/synthetic fiber combo. Great on counters, shower walls, tub surrounds, floors.

Granite Gold Scrub Sponge: 3 inch x 5 inch and 3/4 inch thick (wet). Label says safe on granite, marble, travertine and other natural stone. I used this along with a common cleaning solution on the granite in my bathroom. Took several applications but did clean up nicely. I would let a cleaning solution stand for a few minutes before using sponge. Use the sponge side to wipe up excess soap and dry with a paper towel. Rinse sponge after use. Scrub side did not degrade after use. Sponge is fairly inexpensive.

Are you looking for a product to use to clean your granite, marble or travertine and not worry ab...
Are you looking for a product to use to clean your granite, marble or travertine and not worry about scratching it? Granite Gold has the answer for you. This product is a combination of an extra gentile nylon scrubbing pad and an antibacterial sponge you can use to wipe up any residue. The instructions on the package remind users to rinse the product thoroughly before and after each use. It also instructs users trying this product on a new surface, to test on an inconspicuous area and allow that area to dry so the area can be closely inspected for potential scratches, before using elsewhere. You may wonder why you need to test before using when the product packaging says “Safe on Stone”. It’s because any type of scrubbing pad has some abrasive characteristics or else it wouldn’t scrub! This product has a very low abrasive value but there is a possibility of scratching – especially if the product doesn’t get rinsed out after the previous use! I tried this product on my bathroom counter top and it removed the dried soap and water stains, without scratching the granite. I also tried it on a stainless-steel area of our stove and it easily removed the stains but did not leave any scratches. My only complaint is that it should be larger. It’s almost the size of a 3” x 5” Post It Note and for my large hands, that’s just too small for a large cleaning job. My wife said that it was the perfect size for her, so I gave it to her and she was a happy camper and so was I because she won’t expect me to clean any granite!

I have used Granite Gold cleaning products which are fantastic and this scrub sponge is no exception. It is safe to use on granite, marble, travertine, and all natural stone. It has two different cleaning sides. The yellow side is soft like a regular sponge and the white side is rougher. However, even the rough side is non abrasive. I used it with Granite Gold All Surface Cleaner on a ceramic tile backsplash and it did a thorough cleaning without scratching. I highly recommend this sponge.

Can be used to clean other things too
I used it on my 60 year old dark green marble fireplace, although it's never had a fire in it, I've only cleaned it with paper towels & water so that I wouldn't scratch the marble or leave behind a soap haze. Using this sponge enabled me to get the marble really clean taking off years of pollution & dirt. I then tried it on my mom & dads grave stone which is pink granite. It did a nice job of cleaning off the mold on the north side of the polished stone without scratching it, it shines like when new. I then used it to scrub our vinyl barbecue cover which had some mold/mildew on it and it worked well there too. The last place I tried it on was to clean off some cement splatter off my AL storm door & it's window, I didn't want to scratch the white finish. I used viniger & water & let it sit for a few minutes & then lightly took off the cement splatter. As always your milage may vary and I know the company never intended the sponge to be used these ways, but I had to solve some other cleaning problems, which this sponge helped me do. The only thing I can think of as a small negative and a suggestion is it should be a little bit bigger for use in showers & large countertops, or offer a larger size for those bigger jobs.

Handy for cleaning granite countertops
Although the kitchen countertops get spot cleaned all the time this was the first time I cleaned the entire surface using a spray cleaner along with the sponge on the stubborn areas. The smooth side did the job for me this time but its nice to have the rough side for future tasks that might require more aggressive cleaning. As per the instructions, rinse the sponge before and after each use.

Nice Sponge
The Granite Gold Scrub Sponge, works very well. It's designed to work with other Granite Gold cleaning products at Home Depot. The scrub sponge is 5'' x 3'' and can be used for other items round your household. Always do a small area on the surface cleaning for inconspicuous area and allow to fully dry, to verify there's no surface damage, some surfaces have the potential to scratch. Happy Cleaning!

Quality Sponge!
This scrub sponge by Granite Gold works very well on Granite and Solid Surfaces. It is non-abrasive so it doesn't scratch the surface, yet it does a great job of cleaning. We have granite counters, solid surface counters, and smooth cooktops. It worked very well on all those surfaces to clean and shine. It has 2 sides...one side is soft and the other is for scrubbing...which is very handy for whatever you encounter in the cleaning process....and you don't have to worry about damaging the surface!

NICE LITTLE SPONGE
This little sponge is great with it's two sides for cleaning and getting off soap scum. I have used it on my shower walls and on my bathroom counter top that is black granite and black will definitely show hard water spots, soap residue, and tooth paste drops. This sponge makes quick work of cleaning it all up daily and so far I have not noticed any scratches or issues. I recommend this sponge for bath and kitchen cleaning.

Appears that this works Great!
This product is made for cleaning stone surfaces, such as granite counter tops or perhaps stone showers. Both of which we do not have. Just misunderstood what we were getting. I have no doubts that this will work just fine and appreciate the fact they even sent a personal letter introducing the product. The manufacturer cautions to test first before using on an entire area. We will be using this sponge in the future on our new stone counter tops.

good cleaner and sealant
The granite cleaner made the writings clean and the sealant is helpful to protect it. But in addition to the cleaners , I used another scrub ( from Santa Clara cemetery office which helped to remove faster the mineral deposit) as shown on the pictures attached.

    So Cheapo
I was looking for a sponge that I could use in Quartz and these are not it. The white side is too abrasive, and they are the worst sponges I have ever bought. Unfortunately, I bought a box, and they all fall apart the first couple days I use them, and some have what looks like black mold in them. Do they have an expiration date?

      Uneven Quality
These were of uneven quality. The first one virtually fell apart during the first use, but the second one has held up reasonably well.
