Customer service were of no help at all except for cut and paste answers, they were of little help nor concerned that it failed after several uses. I opened it up and found that it had leaked inside. We will never buy another Hoover product not only because of the quality but because of their abysmal customer service. We replaced it with a like product, a Kenmore , it is amazing and still going after using a few more times than the Hoover.

Bought the first one and it lasted a little over a year, then the vacuum hose decided to tear in two. Almost impossible to replace just the vacuum hose so we went out and bought another one. And same thing. Last about a year and it has completely split again.

On first use, this Hoover Carpet Cleaner made my caroet look new. I was shocked. When finished cleaning carpet I followed the manual and was able to clean out the carpet cleaner completely in 10 minutes.

The cleaning solution leaks as soon as I put it in the machine. It seems like the cap for the solution doesn't have a washer in it and the solution leaks right out.

Worth every penny! Already owned a Hoover vacuum which is why we bought this: -Arrived in 2 days -Easy to assemble, use, and clean. -Parts seem high quality and well built. -Directions say to fill up but bottle of solution provided does not fill up reservoir completely. Keep that in mind if you have a large job to do. You'll need to buy more. -We've only used it once. Hoping it is reliable over time. -Overall exceeded expectations

This carpet cleaner is so easy to use and it did a great job on my carpets. Maintenance is very simple. I have already recommended to friends. If you are looking for a carpet cleaner this is the one!

We have a dog and two cats, pet stains and fur are the bane of out existence. I did so much research and read so many reviews before deciding on a shampooer and this one was definitely worth the money. I’ve tried two others and they just didn’t grab the stains and dry as well as I wanted. This one with the Oxy solution got EVERYTHING. And the automatic wash/dry is so nice, not having to pull trigger to release the solution makes it so much easier, and it auto mixes the solution and the water!!!

it can rely dry your carpets

Bought this cleaner during the summer it is now winter have only used it a couple times so far I've had nothing but hassle with this cleaner it is a horrible design I've already had to replace the nozzle which was 50 bucks after shipping, now the brushes don't turn .what a waste of nearly 300.00 dollars now. I can't imagine why they would use cheap plastic tabs to hold the nozzle on when you have to remove it to clean, cheap junk design and it's only covered for 30 days cheap design.

I have bought this product and it started to leak solution from the bottom after 3-4 uses. I called customer service and they sent a new machine. The new machine worked fine for 2 times and on the 3rd it started to leak again! If I fill up the solution tank and put it back, it 20 minutes it will be empty and everything will be in a puddle on the floor! Very disappointed as I hoped at least the replacement product would work fine!

This is our second hoover carpet cleaner. The first was the old style. We had it for two houses and more than 20 years. It worked great with no problems. We decided it was time to upgrade and boy did we. This new one is even better and so easy to use. It cleans great and is so easy to use it is very sturdy and the 3 canisters make it a breeze. Thanks for the great product.

We were due for a carpet cleaning when Covid lockdowns happened. We just had our carpets professionally cleaned less than a month ago. I was not happy with the results. We purchased the SmartWash+ and it arrived yesterday. I re-cleaned a 3' x 3' high traffic area that the professional cleaned. It is impossible for the carpet to have gotten as dirty as the water in the photos in less than a month with two people in our 2000 sq. ft. home. The SmartWash also picked up sudsy residue left behind by the professional. The machine is lightweight and easy to clean after using. I wonder if some of the bad reviews are because people do not read or follow directions. I owned another brand of carpet cleaner and I feel this one has a much better design for ease of use and care.

I was very skeptical at first because who isn't skeptical about things like this. I saw so many good reviews and wanted to try it out for myself and let's just say it exceeded my expectations. I'm OBSESSED and it's so easy and so satisfying.

I've always trusted the HOOVER name when it comes to making life around my home easier, however, the Smartwash+ has let me down. Not only has it left a section of my carpet black, it started smoking on me after little use. I wish I didn't have to post a negative review, but I don't want someone else ending up in my position.

This is the best carpet cleaner I have had yet. It is a smaller profile which allows you to see the water pick up easier. It dries much faster than previous machines and picks up the water faster. Love the push forward wash and pull back rinse feature.

Cleaned my parents stained carpet in two rooms. Follow all directions. Pretteated the bad stains and gently scrub. Used use the Hoover Smart Wash vac. Worked!! Very pleased.

Great machine! Trust me...I have two long haired German shedders, a long hair working cat, 5 grands that are here weekly, married to a car guy and live in the woods. My carpet gets DIRTY. Previously owned a rug doctor and a Bissell and was never satisfied. That carpet in the picture had become a dark beige with all the grime. The rug doctor left it streaked beige. Not anymore! Super easy to use and clean, very lightweight ( I have severe arthritis in my spine and I can easily handle this). The dry only feature is the bomb! For the price of cleaning one room and an area rug...even if it stops working after a year I still came out like a champ.

This has to be one of the best carpet cleaners I have EVER owned! I love the Dry Only setting so I can go over everything at the end. I also appreciate how little solution it uses. A little goes a long way! Good "area" coverage makes cleaning fast. We have 4 dogs, and this thing passes the test!

I purchased this after my husky had a very liquid accident on our brand new carpet in our brand new home. It took the stain up perfectly!! I was very surprised! I love that it has a drying function too. Highly recommend!

I fill the water tank and fill the shampoo then I begin washing my carpet it works beautiful my carpets are almost as easy as running a sweeper its also light weight I'm 73 and can use it with ease

I used it 6 times and cleaned it every time I used it. I turned it on and it made a horrible whining noise and now the brushes do not roll anymore. I spend almost $300 on this and now it no longer works. The brushes were cleaned after every use. There are no clogs or problems with suction just no longer have use of rollers. This is my second purchase of a Hoover Cleaner and now my last time using Hoover Products....disappointed.

My hover deep cleaner is amazing. I've had a hard time finding one that works with my carpet but this works perfectly. You don't have to hold a button to dispense water it does it automatically and automatically shuts it off and picks up water when going backwards. So easy to use and my carpets look amazing my carpets have never looked or smelled better! Best purchase.

I was very excited using this machine for the first few weeks because it's light, relatively quiet, and does a decent job at picking up pet accidents. But as I went into this week, the unit became sluggish to move. I removed the Nozzle cover and thoroughly cleaned the cover, removed flex rollers, and underside of vacuum. Upon re-assembly of the flex rollers, I noticed that the front roller did not turn freely like the rear roller did. After complete re-assembly, I tested and the rear roller was turning, but the front roller was stationary. I disassembled again and checked for debris or misalignment, then noticed both rollers now turned freely. After re-assembling again, I tested but now both rollers do not work (rotate). I am at a loss and stuck after barely using this for a month.

I absolutely love the way this cleaner performs on my almost white berber carpets! I have a male, unnuetered 6 year old grand-dog that gets anxious when he is left alone for even a short bit of time. He has accidents. Accidents arent my only obstacles. We live in Manitou Springs, an a hill with red dirt. To round it all out... i have an adult son that tracks all the muck he's in while repairing his vehicles. I vacuum to pre clean carpet and to fluff/plump as much as possible, pre spray, clean. Pre spray with a mix of cleaning solution that was included in my purchase, water and peroxide. Once its time to empty the dirty reservoir and refill the clean tanks water i switch to dry only mode. This cleaner doesnt over moisten the carpet, along with the heated air my carpets dry a lor faster and clean a lot easier with this cleaner. Or should i say i loved the way it performED. Ive used this cleaner 5 times and it no longer works. Currently in communication with Hoover proving my purchase in order to be advised of my next steps. I hope its something simple and worked out already so im not having to find another cleaner. However... im afraid it isnt an easy fix. Im pretty good with troubleshooting, tip to stern inspection for anything out of the ordinary. TO be CONTINUed... OH AND SINCE my cleaner is out of commission im still sending a picture of my customer care ticket... it would only seem fair. Thanks home depot!
