I have installed several of these types of LED lights that retrofit an existing can light. This one was easy enough, but the instructions are a little confusing.In order to install the torsion springs, you have to figure it out as the instructions do not show a pictorial depiction of how the pieces should come together, nor are they clear written instructions. Once I figured it out through trial and error, this was a simple installation. Plus it is dimmable! And like other lights like this, they almost always end up being slightly smaller than the trim ring that I just removed. Just means I have to go back and paint the ceiling, again. The light is bright and clean. The unit is well built and sturdy. If it last 15 years, as promised, these are a good investment

This fixture took about 15 minutes to install - including removal of the old porcelain fixture and incandescent bulb installed by the builder. The mounting bracket screws into the junction box (j-box) and the light installs with a small twist into the bracket. The wires fasten to the original wires and a clip connects the old and new wire. Push all wires up into J-box. This unit also has adapters to install into an existing can light fixture and the screw in connector makes wiring easy.

These can be installed in a variety of situations. There are different adapters included in the package to make the connections. My application was to remove a cheap porcelain fixture and bare bulb in the garage ceiling. Two wires in the plug are connected to their respective colors in the J-box. An adapter plate fastens to the box with 2 screws and the light fixture clips onto the plate with a small twist. The color can be adjusted by sliding a switch on top before installing. I left the default color. If you are installing this unit into an existing recessed light, the wire kit screws into the bulb socket and plugs into the LED light.

This is a very nice light, that looks decent. The light output seems to be about equivalent to about a single 75 watt incandescent. It comes with adapters to fit almost any junction box or can you can think of. It has a 5 position switch on the back of the light, so that you can adjust the color temperature of the light from 2700K to 5000K, you do have to remove the light to adjust the color temperature, however it is easy to remove the light from the mount, it is a simple twist lock, so you just turn the light about a 1/4 of a turn to remove or replace it. The outside dimensions of the light are about 7 3/4 inches in diameter and about 2 inches tall. It is dimmable, and it is rated for wet locations. It would make a great shower or bathroom light. The instructions are good and very complete. All in all a nice looking very functional light that seems to be well built.

I wish that it had a flat lens instead of a dome but it still looks good and was very easy to install. I was able to take an item off my honey-do list the same day that it was added.

Super bright and couldn’t figure out how to adjust the color, although supposedly able to do so per packaging. Also, did not find the instructions very reader friendly or understandable.

Has all parts included for retrofit can mounts and new installation with standard junction box. Looks well made and works fine. It’s a little tricky to twist lock into place when with the junction box mount but not a big deal.

Brighter replacement than previous light and brightness is not adjustable. Directions for installation were lacking on using the torsion springs. Satisfied with how it looks and ease of installation.
