I have replaced nearly all of the lights in my home with Halo Home recessed lights (and plan to replace the remaining lights soon). The replaced lighting was a range of "dumb" incandescent and halogen lights to smart(ish) LED's. My largest complaint with the so-called-smart LED's and switches that I replaced was that they required an internet connected hub and they had slow response that would often reach into the tens of seconds. I had researched using several other brands of smart LEDs, but could find nothing that met my requirements of no hub, an in-wall dimmer option to retrofit my existing switches and both color and dimming control. The Halo Home lighting solution with its Bluetooth based mesh network was just what I was looking for. I love that I have so many options to control the lighting including the "Halo Home Anyplace Dimmer" that I have used to add an extra set of dimmers for both my wife and I on either side of our bed. I am also impressed by the extremely fast response from any of these available control options. They respond nearly instantly. Customer customer service is top notch! I had several questions and found a few minor issues that I came across after installing the lights. I contacted Cooper customer service and relayed these problems and questions and was impressed with the effort put into the reply. They clearly took my reports seriously and I was assured that the problems I reported were going to be resolved in the next release of the software. My questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. I am in the process of using their IFTTT integration (https://ifttt.com/halohome) to tie my lighting to my Ecobee room occupancy sensors and perform more complicated home automation tasks that are not directly available in the Halo Home Android app. So far so good. I have only two complaints. The first is that at this time, the Android app has a few features that need improvement. As mentioned about, I have been assured by customer service that these are being looked into and will be resolved soon. The second complaint is that Eaton/Cooper has not published a programming interface to let us more technical users. This is somewhat mitigated by the IFTTT integration, but it would be nice to have more direct control.

Great product. Whole home solution.

Halo WiFi was easy to connect but somewhat difficult to transfer between owners.

Installation was simple and fast.Changing color/dim with app is awesome. No more guessing at the store.Need a bit of patience setting up the app; however, after you get through it - works well. All tech issues are solved by restarting app, resetting mesh or turning on/off light switch.

They fit great, however, the finish of the plastic is different. Ofcourse it's not the same company, but it will do for now. The actually product its great.

The only challenge I had was determining where the springs connected to inside the light can. Once I figured out the springs fit into the “ears” on the inside of the light can I was a pro and finished with ease.

took maybe 3 minutes to install, fit flush to the ceiling, no issues - great color, neutral, not too yellow or too white!

These are the best lights I have used, great color and dimming capabilities.

These look very sleek. They also don't buzz or hum when dimmed with a Lutron CL dimmer, which is a problem we had with another brand. The arms are easy to bend and don't pop off. Very happy with this brand.

Theae are the only ones that dim properly with my lighting control system. Tried 4 other brands including cree.
