Significant improvements from the older versions from Hampton Bay. This actually made the fan operation quieter, as the load is removed from the actual switch. Great product.

Great remote easy to install

Great for rental or air b and b properties

I love this system and have had 3 installed. Be sure your electrical panel has room as it needs a dedicated circuit. The instructions are minimal, especially regarding the night light. That seems to be simply putting the light on a dimmer & leaving it on the lowest level. I added a timer switch for the fan so I can set it to go off automatically from 5 mins to an hour. The fan works amazingly well—no foggy mirrors even with the door closed. Just know to use the heater to warm the room first (door closed always), then turn it off when ready to run the hot water & turn on the fan. Don’t use both as it might trip the circuit, plus it’s counterproductive. The fan takes the heat out, right? I recommend a switch for each function, and using a timer switch for the fan. Mine’s always on 30 mins. so I simply press it to go on & it stops 1/2 hr. later & I don’t have to check if my forgetful husband has turned it off. I like this combo and recommend it. It’s not a DIY—you need an electrician. It’s worth it in the end. As a guest said, “It’s a whole new shower experience”.

Easy to install and works great with Home Decorators collection ceiling fans that Home Depot carries. The wall switch buttons match the remote that came with the fan so it looks uniform and not like a remodel.

Works well…with the wiring does not talk about the fan. Has two black wires that power light and fan on the fan. The controller is well marked what controls fan and light. Tough to find on line about fan..one black wire has some white stripe…took a guess that was light and was correct on my fan. Tech support via email takes days and was not on topic….took 7 days for tech support to get correct

Installed easily and works great.

It works okay, but the light temperate does not work with the switch or remote.

So, I've had a similar one in another house, no problem. But this one, the light or fan will come on by themselves, the fan will change speeds by themselves. Don't know if it's an electrical issue or signal interference. My brother in law, whose a licensed electrician, installed it. Very frustrating when you're trying to sleep & 4 60-watt light bulbs are all of a sudden on, right above you.

SHOPPERS PLEASE NOTE: I'm providing only an average rating because THIS WILL NOT WORK ON A FAN WITH A DC MOTOR, which is what I have, so it was unusable. I have no idea how it would work on an AC motor-driven fan. If it worked for me, I could've given it 5 stars.

Easy to install, though you do have to take your fan apart to install the remote receiver. The controller works as advertised once you have this installed. My only gripe (hence 4* only) is that there is no master switch for the power to the fan. This means that it is always powered. Not sure that this meets building code in most US states.

The remote works perfectly. It takes a little getting used to - that is, finding the controls in the dark; I kept turning on the fan when all I needed was the light. But I got used to it - and as mentioned it works perfectly!

Would be 5 stars if it was backlit, a little difficult to see in a darker room.
