Installing went smoothly and we are happy with new look.

One year later.. and they are FALLING APART! Seriously do not buy. I'm beyond disappointed. Cracks, chips, and the ends are peeling off. The also stain super easy. I don't let food liquid sit on it for long, but unfortunately within seconds it stains. Spend a little more and go elsewhere or get something different.

The quality was great, easy to work with, and best of all, this product looks more expensive than it obviously is! I painted my old oak cabinets and replaced all countertops with this calcutta marble and it made a world of difference!

During assembly I found that the slots did not align with the mating counter. I had to router in my own slots in order to bolt the two counter halves together. I did not have time to return to store and go through another special order delay.

The counters are unusable as they are. This issue of the miter slots not lining up has been going on for years according to reviews. Why hasn't this been addressed and fixed?? Simple fix for them. It will take buying special tools and spending the cost of the counters to fix this. UNACCEPTABLE!!! There was also some chipping on the underside.

Great looking countertop, especially as an inexpensive alternative than others, (marble, etc.), to get a similar look. Cut pretty well with a circular saw, but will chip a little, if you don't edge it with tape first and use the right blade; best to use a table saw. The only disappointment and actually odd thing is it came with a single backsplash board, but I was using it to place between two walls too; small bathroom inset (not for a kitchen counter). It did come with the laminate to place our the sides of they were to be exposed, but obviously I didn't need them. I needed an additional backsplash board(s) to form the sides, but I could not find any I could purchase separately. I did find tiles that slightly match, but just surprised there was no option to buy sides or an additional back I could cut into two (since it is already manufactured and included with countertop). Otherwise, great product. Also, ordering online went real well, just took a little longer than i wanted to wait for, but they certainly boxed it up nice and tight.

This counter top is better then the picture, I absolutely love how it brightened up my bathroom.

Since the first week of use I noted some rusted areas after the daily using. I cleaned out weekly (My other sink never required this maintenance). now after 6 months of use, there are several areas rusted and some of them are impossible to remove. very disappointed with this brand. no recommended at all.

Purchased for an office kitchen break area. Is simple but looks good and is solid. Liked that it came with end caps and all the related hardware for install. Was disappointed when the tee groves on the left and right halves of the mitered edge didn't line up at all, had to cut new groves with my router. That's just poor workmanship from the factory.

We ordered 2 Hampton Bay 8 ft. Laminate Countertop Kits in Calcutta Marble for our L shaped basement Kitchenette. They shipped and arrived on the dates stated without any damage to either one. We wanted the granite look without the granite price which I think this does nicely. We did not use the backsplash that was included because we wanted a more custom look with tile. We've had it for a couple weeks now and expect it will hold up very well. The BIG drawback we found (as many other reviews have stated) are the under counter cutouts that are supposed to line up for the brackets provided to stabilize the mitered corners together are way off. Thankfully we had our contractor installing ours so we didn't have to deal with it because even they said it was a pain. So something to consider if you are a do it yourselfer. If Hampton had better quality control these would be awesome.

This counter-top is total crap. The tops are warped and the router groves for the claps do not line up. Had to make my own router cut outs that match and it is almost impossible to get the mitered 45 to go together because of the warp. I had to put 19 concrete blocks on the top to push it down on the cabinet to flatten it out to be level. TOTAL CRAP !!!

If buying a left miter and a right miter, the miter slots for miter bolts do not align up making it impossible to join the countertop together. The slots for the miter bolts were a different shape and design between the left miter top and right miter top.

This looks good in my kitchen.

I purchased four sections of counter. 2 of the four where bowing in the middle creating an issue to assemble to cabinets.The other two sections were pre cut 90 degree corners. The spots that are cut out to bolt and pull the corners together came from the factory completely misaligned. I mean no where close to being usable.

Absolutely love these countertops! I love the edge and easy to clean.

Looks great in my laundry room makeover. It did have a slight bow which challenged install but it looks great.

This worked well for our bathroom vanity. So pretty and very clean looking! We did have to go back to the store and purchase the "backsplash" piece that went on the left hand side of the countertop because our vanity buts up against the wall from the left. I would recommend to anyone that purchases this product definitely check that out before they purchase. Luckily we found the exact same style of backsplash that we needed but they were limited in what was available.

REALLY WELL WORTH IT. loved that this fits with proper depth and with the backsplash and side trim to finish it off. The left side splash was made from my remnent, that was cut down from the 48 to the 37 inch length. Wasnt looking for top line granite, this just went perfect in my bathroom. To all those who are just looking for a nice quailty change that is EASY INSTALL, GREAT SELECTION OF DESIGNS, GREAT PRICE FROM A GREAT STORE.

This countertop was installed yesterday, 12/09/19 and It looks really good in my kitchen. I like the color and quality of it.

It was perfect! We didn’t want to put big money into a stone counter top. This filled the need and looks amazing!

Here's a copy of the email I sent a week ago to VT Industries regarding this product (I have yet to get a response): Hi— I recently received and installed several of your countertops: a 6’ which was fairly flat, one left and one right miter. The 6’ top and the right miter top arrived together. The eight foot right miter had a worrisome bow, especially at the miter end. I laid it on a flat surface in hopes it might flatten out while I waited for the left miter to arrive. When the left mitered top arrived a week later, it was significantly bowed and twisted, as were the long splashes. The boxes didn’t appear to be bent, in fact they were very effective in keeping the tops cosmetically undamaged. Returning the tops was not an option, as it was essential that I got this kitchen up and functional in the few days I had to work on it. It cost me nearly a day setting-up the kitchen cabinets with blocks substantial enough to pull the warps out of the tops with screws and pocket screws to do a passable job.The splashes needed elaborate clamping and wedging to get them acceptably set.----- I’ve been a finish carpenter for forty years; I can’t even imagine how a DYI’er could pull it off! I’ll attach a picture of how out of line the miter bolt pockets were. I don’t know how this might happen, but this issue was a side-show. I used a block to hold the two miters together to compensate. The routing mistake at the miters goes into the dumb goof category, but the warpage goes into the bad process category. My guess is that they leave your shop in good shape, but that it’s humidity that causes all the warpage. Sure seems like sealing the under/backsides would go some way towards keeping the tops stable in transit. If I had this to do over, I’d either do my own laminating, or tile, even! Life’s too short to spend so much time and effort trying to save a little time and effort! I haven’t given feedback to Home Depot regarding the tops—I hope you’ve taken the time to read this and make the effort to improve. Thanks, JW

Love the color and its so easy to install and cut.. next step new floor!!! Lol

Installed the countertop with a cut out for a sink. Finished the project and began to use the space. After the first day of use and minor splashing from the sink the countertop buckled. There must of been a small crack in the laminate that water got in and swelled. It is looking like I need to start all over. Not a good time.
