Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the light.The fan has a Dimmable integrated 20-Watt LED light kit. Please check that the light is all the way up and not dimmed low.

Sorry to hear that you are having this issue. The fan is shipped from the factory with the reversing switch positioned to circulate air downward. Please check that during installation the switch did not get moved to the upward airflow position. If airflow is desired in the opposite direction, turn your fan off and wait for the blades to stop turning, then slide the reversing switch (located in motor housing) to the opposite position, and turn the fan on again. The fan blades will turn in the opposite direction and reverse airflow.

Please make sure that all parts are correctly installed. Also, if connected to a switch that is not a toggle on/off switch the switch may be causing the sound by limiting the power getting to the fan. We don't recommend using any dimmer switches with this fan. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about the fan. The downrod chart is for informational purposes to explain to correlation between ceiling height and extension downrods. The box does have a callout that states 26 in. lead wire with an arrow pointing to the downrod to advise customers that this fan includes 26 in. of wire for use with downrods. If using a downrod longer than 24 inches, you will need to call Hampton Bay customer service customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) to order an extra wire extender. In general, ceiling fans under 48 inches in length will have 24 inches of wire. Fans 48-56 inches will have 54 inches of wire and fans 58 inches or larger will have 72 inches of wire.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way-out the remote control. In general, most remote control ceiling fan do not include alternate control methods and can only be controlled via the included remote. Some remote fans (like this one) can be installed without the remote and wired directly to switches. That would require altering the wiring a bit to remove the wire harness plug from the fan to separate the wires to enable you to wire directly to switches.
