So far, so good. Only negative was that a supplied LED light bulb burned out within 3 days. Probably isn't fair to knock the fan on account of poor bulb quality; but fan functions as it should and looks great.

Skip this fan, not worth the money.
Looks nice & is easy to install but high on it is slower than any other fan in my home. WORST, on anything more than low, it makes a grinding sound like an 20 year old rusty fan. It's horrible and loud! One of the bulbs blew the first week I had it, I should have known more disappointment was coming.

    Mind Numbing Hum
    I have always been a Hampton Bay fan (no pun intended.) Purchased this fan a number of years ago. I finally couldn’t take the very annoying hum anymore. The fan looks beautiful however there is definitely a quality issue. Replaced with a Hunter/Channing. It has issues too - old school labor intensive assembly, but at least it is super quiet.

    We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. When properly installed, the fan should operate quietly at all 3 speeds. Most noise issues can be attributed to loose parts (including the outlet box). Please make sure that the outlet box is securely fastened to the house support structure and that all other parts are correctly installed and completely tightened. In general, if an issue comes up with the fan, we suggest calling Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678). The motor is covered by a lifetime motor warranty and most issues can be resolved over the phone with some minor troubleshooting. HamptonBay
