The color of the light fixture matched my fan exactly....
The color of the light fixture matched my fan exactly. It was fairly easy to install and it puts out a lot of light. The shades where not flimsy plastic and they attach in a manner that should make sure they stay on in a strong wind. It exceeded my expectations for the price. I am very satisficed with this purchase.

It no longer comes with the base needed to connect to a current fixture. And the manufacturer doesn’t sell the piece separate. They should not be selling these kits if not all the items needed are included or available separately.

Thank you for your review. This light kit requires the fan to have a switch cap so that the light kit can attach to the fan. The switch cap should be included with your fan, not the light kit.

We are sorry to hear that you returned the item. As stated in the product description and on the packaging, the light features shatter resistant plastic shades. The shades are designed to mimic frosted glass with the added benefit of not breaking if dropped during installation or cleaning.

The light kit was very nice. It was easy...
The light kit was very nice. It was easy to install and it was very bright. However, when these light kits were mounted to a Hunter fan only fan, the light fixture looked quite big.

We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Please make sure that the bulbs are screwed in completely and that the wiring is connected correctly. Also, make sure that the light is not connected to any type of dimming switch or remote. If the light is connected to a dimmer, the bulbs may flicker because the included bulbs are not dimmable bulbs. If the issue persists, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to get more information to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
