Does the job
Like many other comments mention, they don’t cost much - you need to know you aren’t getting the best quality by paying $100 for two Adirondack chairs. That said, put a little work into them and they do the job. I stained and poly coated (spar coat) both and they look great. You probably don’t want a hefty guy or gal to sit heavily in them, I do imagine they’d drop to the ground. But they’ve been a great addition to my deck and for the price, I’m happy with them.

Assembly was easy but needed to spend some time sanding the rough edges. Most of the screws where over-driven, splitting one of the seat slats. Nicer than the cheap plastic chairs but the overall quality is lacking. My guess is that we will get a couple of seasons out of these chairs- you get what you pay for.

They are not to difficult to put together. About hour or hour and half. Directions weren't to bad either. The product quality is definitely not great. I'm going to add a few supports and extra wood screws. The wood is not strong. Great set for looks in your yard more than for using every day.

Very good chairs. I would give them a five except one of the chairs was delivered with a bent screw and split wood. I was able to repair the wood with glue and a clamp. There were extra screws in the parts bag so it was not a big problem. Light sanding required. The finished products are great.

I gave these two chairs five stars because of the quality relative to the price. My husband found them to be easy to assemble. The only flaw found was on one of the arms. The pilot hole for the screw was way off and the front of that arm was chipped. The company gave us a discount after we contacted them. The chairs are very comfortable. The wood was nicely sanded. They feel sturdy when you sit in them. The arms are wide and flat which makes for a nice for a place to set a drink. They don't fold up and are therefore advertised as stationary. I haven't stained them yet. I intend to use wood conditioner firs,t since the wood looks like pine. If anyone wants to clear coat them, please know that it's recommended to have a stain with a pigment in it to prevent graying underneath the top coat of finish.

    Great chairs for the price!
Got these yesterday. Stained & clear coated them & put together. It took two of us about 30 minutes to put together six of them, easy assembly. We did use wood glue to strengthen them a little. They do not seem flimsy at all & we’re not little people!

Well, if you hate it send it back. Me personally, I have owned this chair for two months. It's just been sitting out in the rainy weather and I.currently drinking wine and sitting pretty. Is it the highest quality? No. Has it Fallon apart? No. People please, stop the tight wad whining. It's two chairs for $60.

not as bad as people are saying
I purchased two of these on a final clearance at the store for $15 each. After reading the reviews I not only screwed them together but also used outdoor glue. The do you help to make the chair a lot more sturdy

          Total junk
They were easy to put together but pretty flimsy - we enjoyed them carefully for a couple weeks before the screws started to pull out of the wood and they fell apart. We don't have kids and weren't rough with them at all, they're just not made well and don't hold up. Don't waste your time or money, invest in a better product.

            Trash
Bought four unfinished chairs, one of them didn't come with the drilled holes, another two came with broken pieces, and all of the chairs couldn't get them to fit the holes with the other part they were supposed to be attached at. I expected to get better quality of products coming from the home depot!

              Don't waste your money
I received these as a gift. They are cheap. The screws are starting to come out. They are wobbly and feel like they are going to fall apart. Save your money and buy the plastic one. I only put one together not going to waste my time on the other one

The first thing you notice as you open the box is the unmistakable smell of pine. It seems that "Chinese Fir" is a lot like american pine. It smells like pine, is white like pine, and soft and light like pine. Maybe fir and pine switch characteristics between China and here! The chair is very lightweight and I doubt it will accommodate 400 pounds, or even half that if a big man were to flop into the chair. It was inexpensive - I'll paint it and try to get some good use out of it. I have been breaking resin Adirondack chairs, being 6'2" and 195 lbs, and I thought this would be sturdier. It probably will be sturdier, but how much more so remains to be seen.

Extremely low quality - not able to screw the brackets onto the back rest, as the sleeve meant to act as a bolt retainer simply comes out, leaving a hole much too large for the bolt. Extremely low quality wood as well - definitely not worth it; I'll be returning these today!

Let me start by saying that I didn't have high expectations of this product from the start - $119 for two chairs seems too good to be true, but we needed a few extra chairs for the summer so HD it was. This item wasn't available at my local HD stores so I ordered them online. Easy and quick to do, they turned up two days later in a single box. All the separate pieces were accounted for though one of the arm rests was broken. It had left the factory screwed onto another piece but had been knocked off in transit. It was also split along the grain. Additionally, one of the packets of screws/nuts had also come open. I glued the broken arm rest together, collected up the nuts and bolts and built the chairs. It took me about 10 minutes armed with a 10mm wrench and a power drill. They are quite flimsy so I modified them by moving the front leg brace down the legs to about halfway, and also installed a brace on the rear legs to stop the 'side to side' motion. The wood is very light - almost like balsa - and doesn't feel like it can hold much weight though the paperwork says it is good for 400lb. A few extra screws here and there and I am all set to go. I will paint them when I have time to try and get some extra life out of them, but as I live in Maine these will spend the winters in storage. I added some cushions from HD also, and these are very comfortable now. Great summer chairs to sit back in and relax. Not bad for $119 - if I can get more then one year out of them then I will be pleased.

Chairs were back ordered and took over a month to receive. Assembly seemed easy until you attached the base to the back. All 4 of our chairs did the same thing. I had to adapt and use my own screws for them to hold. They look good but are made of very light wood like pallet wood. Hopefully they will hold up around the fire pit.
