Was very happy with the hampton fire pit we bought. when we saw these chairs on clearance we jumped at the opportunity to buy the last four. POOREST QUALITY PRODUCT IVE EVER SEEN! All of the last seat pieces, the ones that help attach the backrest all had at LEAST 2 of the four screws buried into the base to tthe point the seating board split 100%...I stress at least TWO per chair. Since it is unfinished we wanted to paint the base black and stain the seat/back/arms. 3 of the base legs have so much damage and the worst patch job I've ever seen! HOW COULD THIS GET PAST QUALITY CONTROL? Also 3 different sizes, course and length of screws used randomly in the construction of the seating boards to the base...as if 3 people with three different screw guns used- this is not engineered to be this way- its a horrid example of how poorly these are made. In addition the wood is FULL of knots, not always a bad thing but when they are lose knots and/or 50% empty its a huge issue. They "tried" to fill some of the knots but literally, 1/2 the hole has some wood filler and the rest empty- again how did this pass quality control?! This is in addition to horrible attempts at patching in many places. Wish I could post pics folks! I paid $49.95 on clearance for a trainwreck worth about $10- trying to get parts now...we'll see how well- or soon I get them...very very disappointed home depot would sell this garbage. Oh yeah and they are made from the lowest grade pine. No where near the value I thought I got. I'd say $19.95 AT best is what these are worth based on quality and all the work needed to make them usable.

Great product for the price. I purchased eight chairs for my yard and did not have a single issue with any of them out of the box. It should be noted that these chairs are unfinished and will need to be sanded if you want a smooth finish. I used a circular sander with a 220 grit on the flat surfaces and then went back and touched up the edges by hand. The seat and back are already assembled so it will take some time to get them sanded to a smooth finish that won’t snag clothing. Once all the pieces were sanded to my satisfaction, I stained them with a good stain to protect against rot and sun damage. This is made of a soft wood and the slats on the seat and back are not as thick as seen on the more expensive chairs. I highly suggest a seal at least. Once stained, I then assembled the chair, using wood glue in addition to the bolts and screws provided for some extra stability. They finish beautifully! I live in NW Florida so I am curious as to how long they will hold up in our crazy weather. They have only been out for a few days, as I’m still finishing up the last two. I can tell you that I was able to assemble them easily by myself with only a flat head screw driver and some wood glue. If you are looking for a wood Adirondack chair at a reasonable price, this is it. Oh! They are lighter than I had expected. I think the box says 20 lbs. I was able to load all of them in my van myself and pick them up and take them to the back yard once finished. We had a nasty squall roll through last night. I had most already out but some of my old plastic chairs were there as well. The plastic blew over, as usual, but these stayed put. I wouldn’t leave them out in a TS or worse but it was nice not having to pick them up after a thunderstorm. I’m a tiny thing and I can lift them with no trouble whatsoever. I hope this helps. **check your local store because I found mine in my store on sale for $30 each**

I bought this chair two years ago. The chair had to be put together, each piece one by one. I stained pieces before assembly. Each summer I need to tighten up the screws and bolts a couple of times. This last time I replaced a few of the screws with home Depot decking screws. This made the chair a lot sturdier. Next time I'll replace a few more of the frame screws. I bet I will get several more years of enjoyment from my chair. I'm going to buy this chair again when I need to replace mine.

This is not a 2 pack. But really nice

Although the chairs finally came together it took me way more time to put them together since several of the predrilled holes were not done. Fortunately one chair had all the holes so I used it to measure and drill holes myself. 3 of the four chairs I ordered had issues.

Not bad quality, but some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up, so it was necessary to drill a larger hole to accommodate the bolts provided. This was the situation on both of the chairs that came in the 2-chair pack.

The wood is made of poor quality. We had to sand it down for several hours before we paint the chair.

I got 6 chairs and each went together with no problems.

Very “basic" quality. Wood is VERY rough, w/ splinters and unsanded edges. The screws either stick out or are so countersunk that they required (a lot) of wood filler and sanding to smooth. I used highest quality paint/primer and it will take at least 2 coats:-( Would NOT buy again.
