I did it! I'm retired so took my time. I used 3/4" plywood for the floor, six concrete piers sunk in gravel and it went together easier than I had anticipated. The hardest part of construction was getting the roof panels "square." Two suggestions. While I appreciated the included drive screws, Phillips heads are difficult to drive home because they are susceptible to stripping. I bought a pack of "starhead" drive screws which made the job a LOT easier. Also, for feeble eyes, I'd like to see the directions in a booklet TWICE the original size. (8"x10") I painted it with two coats of exterior latex to match our home and skirted the bottom with vinyl lattice work to give it a more finished look. Yes, I'd recommend. You'll need some help raising and fastening all the walls in place.

I cannot express enough how wonderful this shed is, and in comparison to Tough Shed, how much more value in price, durability and function this shed is. We loved it so much that we purchased (3) three! One for my "she shed", one for his "he shed" and one for my on-line antiques & collectibles inventory warehouse storage shed. It took my husband with one helper three days to complete just one which is about average for Do-It-Yourselfers. We were able to choose our own paint colors to create something really special and unique using quality Behr Paints. We then put in insulation, sheetrock, paint, and vinyl flooring all from Home Depot. The savings from the purchase of this shed allowed us to spend more on the extras needed to create our working oasis. Why be boring when you can be fabulous! I placed a cupola on top of mine and put in my own refurbished antique framed stained glass windows with flowers boxes and it's so cute and charming looking like an old schoolhouse, but it has my work tools that I use around our property. Yes, I'm that handy having done a great deal of the work myself. My husband is proud of what I've accomplished, including the brickwork decking in front of this shed. I especially love the size of this shed and also the height. It doesn't make me feel cramped or like I do not have enough storage space. In fact, I was surprised how many plastic storage bins fit in the loft above holding all of our Christmas stuff. The work space shelf is a bonus too! Great Value, Great Price and Great Shed! What more can you ask for from Home Depot?

Love this shed. In less than a year, this shed went thru a noreastern, small tornado 3/31/2017. Our house had damage and siding ripped off, other houses had walls ripped, fences were flattened. the shed took it like a champ, it is standing tall and proud. highly recommend this shed. This is a great shed for the money! Be careful when you go to drill out the hole for the door handle, using the measurements they supply, it is too close to the edge of the door frame, i moved the center to the right a 1/4 inch. They said you need 6 bundles of shingles, if you use Timberline Dimensional shingles, you will only need 4 bundles and have a few left over with very little waste. The floor frame is 24 inch on center, so you MUST use 3/4 plywood or your floor will be saggy. There are many places where they supply different size nails for construction, but i used screws for all areas and it went together seamlessly. I also installed roof vents to let the heat out. I have it so full already that I think I need another one!

I purchased this shed on 10/9/16 and it took me a week to build. The kit only had 4 straight boards in it, the rest were warped or twisted. After a few trips to Home Depot to swap out twisted lumber for straight lumber I got annoyed with the process and decided to build it with what I was supplied with. I learned that it's very hard to build a shed square when all your lumber is twisted. One of the roofing boards was cut wrong, so I have a gap along the peak of the roof, which sucks, but I only had a helper for a couple of hours, so we had to make due and build it with what was supplied. In my opinion, after building this kit, I would say this is a $500 shed kit tops. If you pay more then that for it like I did, you will be very disappointed on what you wasted your money on. I sure hope the warranty covers building it with the twisted lumber supplied, because I have a strong feeling that this shed will not last long.

          majestic ehhh
First of all, shed kit was delivered damaged by home depot, have pictures to back that up. A 4' x 8' roof piece on one side was cut wrong from manufacturer, was not cut square, which made it very frustrating when everything else fit pretty easily together, although flimsy. we had to work around badly cut piece on the roof and adapt, which was the worst area to get to. Why manufacturer didn't pack the floor piece on the top of package, I'll never know, it makes no sense that we had to unpack a couple of layers to get to floor, when the floor is supposed to be built first. why they don't say, if not installing on concrete foundation, that some cinder blocks and three or four 4" x 4" x 8" pieces are needed for sub floor, also. smh

            Very nice shed
This was a fun project to build. I was missing a few parts but the local Home Depot took care of ordering the parts for me. Instructions call for 4x4 skids if you build it that way but I decided to use 4x6's. I didn't really like the metal corners so I ripped some trim boards to use on the corners. The only problem I had with the shed was that the two back wall pieces of siding weren't the same thickness. One piece was about a 1/32 to 1/16 thicker than the other one but it's in the back and doesn't show.

            Perfect for what we wanted...
The perfect "garden shed"...with additional storage in the loft above and under the work bench on the back wall. (We also mounted an outside work bench for messier potting on the left side wall.) Relatively easy to assemble - but not in one day, as your video tutorial says.

            Just a tip
A number of other reviews commented on warped boards. I took the time to drive to the 4 Home Depots in my area until I found a store that stored them in an overhead covered area and away from prevailing winds. Even though the shed is wrapped in plastic, the plastic gets damaged via handling. With no chance of rain or snow accumulation on the shed while it sat waiting to be purchased, mine had only a single board that showed any significant warping. I recommended this shed but only if you have realistic expectations about the quality of the materials. The door in particular seems like it is going to be particularly susceptible to water damage over time. I didn't change the color much from the primer color so ended up overbuying a gallon of paint based on the directions. Boxes of screws were not included in the kit despite the directions.

              Great value
The storage shed was easy to assemble parts fiit the way they should, the only draw back was the roof rafters were a little warped. Overall a great value and I am completely satisfied.

Majestic is a "Cluster" and not what a true carpenter would build!
I realize that it was built on the cheap...so we wouldn't have to pay more for it. The floor and side walls (except for the use of 4'+8' boards instead of 12' for the horizontals) seemed steady; the lack of full frames for the front and rear were ridiculous! The whole thing relied on the inner shelves and "loft" to hold it together. The building steps and recommendations lacked forethought...not recommending the use of caulk on ALL the wall seams when the wallboards are not finished on the edges is negligent...WE sealed them anyway! The "batten" strips are not sealed on the edges. When using cms for measurements as well as inches WOULD have worked, if written correctly...it is "1'point'3" (1.3) NOT "1'comma'3" (1,3). It was extremely difficult to put the roof up while the loft boards were in place. It would have been easier with the frame only! The recommendations for what to buy in addition to the items shipped...NEVER mentioned the 12' treated 4x4s. I don't know HOW the pros do it when people pay to have Home Dept build it instead of relying on my husband's carpentry skills.

              Love this shed.
The finished product is awesome. There was only one warped board we couldn't use. I did buy 2 12 ft 2x4 treated boards for the bottom side walls. I bought extra screws to attach the siding. I special ordered the red metal roof materials. Everything was in the kit, including the nails and screws. I hired 2 guys to build it. The finished product with all the extras and the labor came to apx. $1800.00

Good shed but lots of hidden costs
I purchased this kit trying to save a little money by building it myself. After all was said and done I spent a lot more than the advertised price I paid for it! First off you have the choice to have it delivered or to pick it up from a store for free. The price was $899 on the website and the delivery charge was $199. When I looked for one to pick up from the store, there was one across town, but the price was then $999 when I selected to pick it up in the store. I ended up going with the delivery option, annoyed that I had to pay $100 extra dollars just to pick it up myself across town. I did a little research before-hand, but it is not obvious at all what is actually not included in the kit, but once you have the kit delivered you still need to purchase everything on the following list just to start: • Any tools you may not already have, including a square, tin Snips, chalk Line and shingle blades for utility knife • Pea Gravel (I used two, 40lb bags) • Solid Masonry Blocks (I used eleven, 4" blocks and twelve 2" bricks) • Stakes for leveling • Masonry Twine • 4"x4"x12' Treated Lumber • 3" Screws Exterior grade (1 Box) • 5/8 x 48 x 96" (5/8" OSB) Oriented Strand Board (x3) • 2" Hot Dipped Galvanized Box-Type Nails (1 Lb) • 3-Tab Shingles (5 Bundles) • Drip Edge (50 Feet) • #15 Roofing Felt (To cover 122 sq ft.) • 1" Galvanized Roofing Nails (4 lbs) For laying down shingles • 2 Gallons Exterior Paint • Acrylic latex exterior paintable caulk (3 Tubes) • 3" Nails (3 Boxes) • 2" Nails (4 boxes) • 1 Quart Trim Paint • Exterior rated wood glue I also decided to add a few extra items to the shed for functionality. • The doors swung back and forth when they are open, so I added some extra latches to hold them open. • I also added gutters and a rain barrel All in all, I spent another $650 on everything extra. So be aware that you're actually spending $1800.00 for the shed and other materials and then on top of that all the time and labor to put it up. That was about double what I was expecting to pay. Still less expensive that a lot of comparable sheds, but the hidden costs and gotchas gave me a bad experience. The shed itself went together relatively easily. I spent two evenings leveling out the site and prepping the location before the shed was delivered and then I was able to frame up the walls by myself in a full day once the kit came. It was delivered on a skid and was about 4'x8' by 3' tall and a little over 1200lbs. I don't have a construction background but the instructions were clear and I followed them step by step. Everything fit together really well and nothing was missing that was supposed to be there. I had three neighbors come over and they helped me assemble the rest of the shed. You'll need at least two people, but I would recommend three. We got the shed up in a full day. I spend a third day finishing the shingles and the roof and another day painting.

                  8ft x 12ft Wood Storage Shed - Great!
The shed was fairly easy to assemble for me and my husband. We have are pretty handy though. If you aren't used to building things at all, I would suggest paying Home Depot or other builders to build it for you. Separate all parts before starting and make sure you are grabbing the correct ones. When we started working on the roof, we accidentally grabbed the trim boards instead of the gable boards to make the gables and we couldn't get it to work correctly, so we decided to cut them, then realized they weren't the correct boards, It was a mistake that we could have avoided if we had paid closer attention, however it was something that was easily corrected if you are good at angles and math. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. We love it so far, We haven't painted it yet, but My husband has already got all his stuff in it!

                  Disappointing, but workable
It's definitely an improvement over what I had. The "attic" area and built-in upper shelves mean I can store more in less space, and it's better organized. However ... The first issue was unloading it. The packaged pallet was 12-feet long, but the delivery truck didn't have the equipment to offload it intact (and it wouldn't have fit on the lift gate), so the guys had to unwrap it, move all the pieces, and then restack. The side studs are only 2x3, not 2x4. Some were warped. The lumber is not pressure-treated. And there were pieces missing (yes, should have been included) that had to be purchased separately to complete. I was told the directions are difficult to follow: Sometimes you find out two or three pages later what you should have done earlier. Fortunately, the contractor was experienced and gracious enough to make it all work. And added reinforcements and little tweaks to ensure that it was solid and would last for many years. But as a result, the project took days longer than expected and went over budget. Bottom line: The contractor I hired to put it together could have built something similar with better materials, had I known.

Good Value ( more work than I had anticipated)!
Overall the kit was a good value, and the design was very good. Get comfortable with the instructions BEFORE you start the project, and follow them in the exact order they are given, this is especially true to experienced builders that are used to doing a project a certain way! I did not and added days to my building time. Instructions are a bit hard to follow until you understand what and why author did, then they are easy. Plan to spend a minimum of $ 500 additional dollars on things that are not included in the kit like flooring, roofing, better fasteners, paint and unusable lumber in the kit. I overbuilt my shed going to 16 rather than 24 inches on center in both the walls and floor, as I needed more than 10 years active life from my project. If you paint outer wall sections before you install them you will save time. This project to two of us 4 full days to complete, and it is a two man project for most aspects of this build. You will find a decent amount of muscle is needed to torque things into square as a result of substandard lumber. Overall the end result was really good and I have the shed stuffed to the gills already. I would recommend adding a screen type vent to this shed which is not included in the kit. Even on days as cool as 70 sunny degrees the interior of the shed gets into the high 90's and smells really bad from decaying grass. As for the nearly $100 of unusable and missing lumber I had to replace I have contacted the company and they have told me to send them the receipts and they will replace or refund me for the substandard lumber. While I now have roughly $2,000 into this shed I am pleased with the result and am confident it will last longer than 10 years!

                    I like it
I bought it. Got it home built a solid foundation then we opened it up sorted out all the pieces and started putting it together. It went very well however I would recommend putting a removable top platewhere the longwall comes together this will make it a lot easier to set the 12' walls Other than that it was great I highly recommend.

                      Easier than I expected
This was my first major project and it has been much easier than I anticipated. It is a perfect size for my backyard and has great storage space with the loft and shelves. There are a few things to keep in mind before you buy: 1) this is a 2 person job 2) You do not need a professional 3) Foundation, paint & roofing materials are not included

Very Good value but add-ons definitely needed.
After looking at shed prices and features at multiple vendors in my area, I was shocked at how expensive they were, delivery charges and upcharges on things like wider doors. I have a riding mower with a 48" deck which is 60" wide with the discharge chute. So finding a shed with a 60+ inch door was tough. I happened to see this model at my local Home Depot and was surprised to find the shed had a 64" door with full length piano hinges in 12' depth. I was impressed by the overhead storage features and the price. I went immediately and read all the reviews and was drawn to the number of people who had good reviews for the product and who made suggestions on improving the shed. I'm moderately handy, have done framing, roofing, etc in the past and didn't feel this was out of my range. I purchased about $500 of extra materials. I have listed them below: 3" exterior screws 4" exterior screws Galvanized roofing nails 2 12' PT 2x4 for the floor frame 4 12' 2x4 for the side walls 3 3/4 PT 4'x8' plywood for the floor 6 2x4x8' PT to upgrade the floor to 16" on center 6 2x4x8' to upgrade walls to 16" on center drip edge 4 bundles of shingles (used exactly that many with nothing but scraps left over caulk - 6 tubes roof caulk roof felt 5 gals paint (interior) 2 gals primer (exterior) 2 gals exterior paint 1 gal white for trim 3 4x4x12 PT for runners under deck. Hasp and padlock. Wood glue Concrete blocks in various sizes for leveling runners since my site was slightly sloped. I had assorted nails and other screws around from other projects. I already have a power nailer so I used that to frame the walls and floor and roof although the nailer was a bit too powerful for the OSB decking for the roof that is provided... My suggestions tor completing this project: I ordered gravel to set a pad. I spent a lot of time leveling the gravel before I even started the deck. Spend as much time as you need to level the foundation, runners and deck before you start building. An uneven foundation will make leveling and putting walls up so much harder. Make sure you check the level of all your walls and where they meet. This makes lining up the roof SO much easier. Read the directions through before you buy this kit since they are posted here online. This will tell you much about what tools you need and skills you must have to complete this project. Have at least 2 ladders on hand, this will facilitate completing so many parts of the project. Have 2-3 days and at least one helper for all of that time. My wife and I built this together starting Friday morning and finishing the major part of it on Saturday night. I shingled it on Sunday which took about 3 1/2 hours and then we painted over the next few days. Biggest complaints: Cobbing together 8' and 4' is not a great idea for strength... Buy the 12 footers and make your life easier and your structure stronger. Upgrade to at least 16" on center if you have any type of concern about wind and snow load. We live in upstate NY and get heavy snow. My friend figured that the structure without upgrade had a about a 20-30 pound snow load which is not enough for up here. Nowhere near enough screws and nails provided but thankfully many noted that in their reviews. Plan on buying all of this stuff and anything they do provide is bonus. Add more support to the loft as 250# load capacity is not much for the space provided. **Make sure you fully inspect the package at Home Depot**... First package they brought down was damaged badly on the back and that was the side up against the forklift so it would have been really easy to miss. The store had 3 and when I went and looked closely 2 out of 3 were damaged and wet... The package I brought home was undamaged but I did notice that one of the OSB deck sheets for the roof was wet and moldy. We left that one out in the sun to dry and bleached it to kill the mold. Make sure you go through the package carefully and account for every item. Then separate them out in sections: walls, floor, loft, roof, etc... That will make your process for assembly easier if you are not always searching for components. We paint sprayed the interior bright white to make it brighter inside and prevent splinters from the OSB components (walls, shelving, etc). We also put 2 coats of porch and floor paint on the floor deck to prevent water from damaging the floor over time (wet tractors and mower wheels, etc.) Doors are great but they swing easily and wind blows them -- I just ordered 18" cane bolts to attach to the doors to keep them open. I purchased a pre-made folding ramp from Harbor Freight and built it into the front of the shed as a ramp to get the tractor in and out. The bottoms of the doors do overlap the deck so getting a ramp flush to the deck is not possible but this was the best option and allowed us to stow the ramp for the winters. Door knob and lock are nice, but don't appear to be really sturdy for security so I added a hasp and padlock. I really like the height and windows on this model... the extra space overhead is a real bonus and the the windows with the bright white interior make it bright enough for the wife to use for potting plants, small workshop projects etc. I'm going to add a 4' lean to on the left next for storage of other items and I'm also going to add some outlets inside and just put an exterior inlet in for power from the house when I want it. I definitely think this was worth the price. I would figure on spending about $3000 to purchase a shed with all these features and size locally so this was a very good price $1500 for materials and 2 1/2 days labor.

                        Great product
I am somewhat handy but this project was doable but tough. I learned a ton by doing it. If you are considering this shed, you will not be disappointed if you do the following. Store all the lumber in a dry place as you are constructing - i put the panels, decking leaned against a fence covered in tarps and put all studs under the house to keep dry until i needed them. Parts were mislabeled so measure every piece and relabel when unpacking. Also expect about $350 for paint, decking, nails, screws and lumber. Use the Star bit screws, more expensive but worth it. The following will also help you: 1. To enhance floor - last 20 + years. Use 12 by 8 treated for the base or if you want to go high end use 2 x 6 for frame. Do not do use the included lumber by connecting a 4 foot piece for floor to each side. *build the floor frame on top of your decking you are going to use. This is a good trick to help you with a level frame before attaching to the 4 x 4s. Also use a middle 4 x4 (3 total) - this is a huge enhancement that will really make your floor strong. I also put a floor joist every 16/12 instead of the instructed 24 space. 2. Nice to have, i vented the middle of the shed for hot Georgia summers and added cobra vent to roof. 3. 2 x 6 for ramp, great video on youtube. It is very solid. 4. Finish building the roof before doing the inside workbench and shelves. It makes it easier to deck the roof. The instructions were great - plan for it to take you 30+ hours if you do everything yourself. I only got help to raise the walls. This one was a stretch project for sure but i learned a ton.

                          Worth buying - great deal!
Recently, a friend of mine and I, both amateur but experienced woodworkers, put up the Majestic 8’ x 12’ shed over a period of 2 days. We both agreed that the quality of the materials, the well thought-out/clever design and instructions were impressive. It fit together exactly as specified. There were a couple of twisted studs - big deal. The fact that I got it on sale for $899 was a bonus. Home Depot loaded it with a fork lift and it fit perfectly in my full-size pick-up between the wheel wells with cap on – nice design and great packaging. However, we did make a few modifications in construction that are worth considering: (1) purchase 12’ 2 x 4’s and 12’ 2 x 3’s for constructing the base and side walls for better structural integrity to avoid splicing together 8’ and 4’ sticks (a necessary consequence of the packaging), (2) construct the floor base with 2 x 4’s at 16” OC instead of 24” OC, (3) fasten the floor joists and wall studs with 3” screws instead of nails for better strength (an impact drill will be a big help), (4) use a nail gun to fasten the wall panels for speed of construction and (5) use ¾” plywood for the floor. We needed 4+ bundles of shingles. I wasn’t convinced a cheap kit could result in such a sturdy reasonable shed but I was wrong!

                            Great Little Shed Kit!
The shed kit instruction booklet was very well written and well organized. My husband and myself put it together in less than a week. We are very pleased with the quality. We found it had a lot of room inside and were able to put it to good use.

Good project for moderately skilled, lots of storage, 7-foot walls a plus for tall people too
I built this shed a year ago, taking my time from one weekend to the next. It turned out to be a bigger project than I expected, but was still easy to assemble for someone with almost no carpentry skills. The only time that I needed a second person was the day we raised and squared the walls. As far as cost goes, it adds quite a bit to purchase flooring, shingles, nails and paint. It's still a very good value compared to other kits, just know that your final cost will not be the kit price. Building the shed gave me a reason to upgrade my tool kit, but that was an expense I enjoyed. In the end, there was a great feeling of accomplishment at finishing the project, and doing something I might not have dared to try a few years ago. I'm happy to say the shed was weatherproof through a nasty winter and we're enjoying the extra space (love the loft storage and 7-foot walls). Windows above doors are great for light without losing storage space along walls.

Hands Down the Best Shed for the Price
I had an existing 10x14 concrete slab and spent many weeks looking at many wood sheds that would fit on the slab. I eventually settled on the Majestic based on the price and features such as the loft, shelves, workbench and windows. It was also very helpful to be able to walk through the demo model in the parking lot of Home Depot. Based on advice in several reviews posted here, I opted to buy 2x4x12's for the top and bottom plate of the side walls to avoid using two pieces of lumber which I saw as the only weakness in this kit. Since I placed the shed on a slab, I did not use the included floor kit except for two of the treated 2x4x8's. I also purchased treated 2x4x12's for the frame we bolted down to the slab. Simple upgrades like these only made a great shed even better. I also reinforced the loft and workbench with the extra lumber I had as a result of replacing the side wall top and bottom plate. My friend and I both have construction experience and it took us about two full days to build the shed and roof it with shingles to match my house. As many have stated, follow the directions closely and it is a pretty simple build. I spent around $450 extra on paint, caulk, shingles, nails and an additional window. This is a bargain in my opinion as a similarly sized Tuff Shed would easily be double the cost and not include the great features. My only gripe with this kit is that they provide batten strips to cover the seams and nails on both sides, but none for the back side or the perimeter of the base. I bought some extra material and added trim to these locations. I did have some concerns about the 2x3's placed 24 on center before I built the shed, but once together it is plenty strong and very sturdy. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and highly recommend this kit.

                                Worth the work
The shed looks great. I did most of the work myself, so it took longer. I did use 12' 2x4s for the top and bottom wall frames, made it easier. I also put in more studs in the walls and treated studs for the floor at 12" on center, this made it real sturdy. I went with better shingles, built a ramp, which was easy to make, and built an garden box for my daughter (dads this was worth the hugs). I use the left over landscaping stones from old flower garden. Overall the cost increased by about $500, but it was worth it. I had Home Depot deliver it for $60 and that was really worth it. So far I have 2 neighbors and an in law who wants me to help them build on. Wait till I put the Christmas lights on it.

Good product if you are familiar with framing tools and materials,
This shed went up easily, in one weekend, because we had three guys familiar with framing a house. The directions are simple and mostly complete, but a few places needed some figuring out. I did not contact the company so I don't know if they were open on a Sunday. There are a lot more parts you WILL need to buy (other than the ones suggested on the box.) Look through the instructions BEFORE you leave the store if you are trying to get it all delivered in one shot. Oh --- you WILL need it delivered or rent the BIG truck. Heavy materials and parts. We set it up in the shade and added the turbine vent for moisture control, added concrete footings, a drip edge at the roof line, added more joists to the floor, for support, painted inside/out and insulated with ridged foam. Nice and comfy. The wood walls and ceiling look a bit like wheat thins. Now to see when the rains come, how well it holds up.

Great Kit - Great Shed and Great Buy!
We bought this shed to accommodate all of the items that took up space in our 18x18 garage including camping gear, tons of tools, lawn care and odd and end items. The shed was perfect for all of these items because it has the loft and the wrap around shelving leaving the floor space and wall space free for additional items. I printed out the directions ahead of time and stapled specific sections together, i.e. PARTS, FLOOR SUPPORT, WALL PANELS, etc. As we completed a section, I would fold that up and move on to the next portion of the directions. A couple things: We added a third support beam (picture attached) because my husband is a big guy and I didn't want any give in the center of the eight foot front pieces. It was a little more difficult to level but well worth the support it gives. The package was delivered by Home Depot and the Pro Customer desk put every additional item we needed on the invoice and picked it themselves for delivery. We opted for the drip edge and roof felt, which are both optional choices. There is a video online made by majestic on how to roof and it is very detailed and a great tool for anyone who hasn't roofed before. All in all the process took 4 days of working from start to finish. On Day One: We unpacked the kit and separated the pieces into piles as they were separated on the Parts List; i.e. Roof, Shelf, Trim, Walls etc. We also leveled the support beams using 3-4x4x12's, 9- 4x8x16 mortar bricks and a few shingles for the perfect level. Day Two: We assembled the floor support and laid the OSB panels. **These panels did not fit perfectly on our square frame, but they were also not included in the package, so we kept out frame square and left a small gap between the panels which I filled with Wood Filler and sanded down later. Our square was exactly 173 1/16" just as the instructions stated. We then used the floor structure to assemble the wall, front and back panels. **The instructions call for nails for the most part but we strongly recommend utilizing screws for your panels and nails. We had an issue with the boards that were nailed banging apart as we tried to finish up the opposite side. Once we had screws in - everything stayed perfectly and solid. We didn't have room to simply lay the walls to either side, so we moved them to a pile as a team, where we tarped them and called it a day. Day 3: we mounted all of the wall panels, which all fit perfectly, except for one corner (picture attached) but our square and levels were right, so we nailed/screwed it in knowing it would be covered by the corner trim provided. We then proceeded to build the rafters which were so easy using the walls as a guide as the instructions suggested. We attached the rafters and then started on the loft and shelves. Everything was cut perfectly except one side shelf. It was literally the only cut we had to make in the entire construction process and it was less than 1/2" (picture attached). Our last task on Day 3 were the roofing panels. I want to note that in our kit the panels for the roof had water damage, because it is packaged where the two large panels are the top and bottom of the packaging. I called Jason at our local Home Depot and they delivered two new panels the very next morning and took away the old panels. Amazing customer service all the way around. The roof went up perfectly. To secure the rear support for the roof, we cheated and had our teenager handle the screwing over the loft area. He was light enough and limber enough to maneuver easily up there. (picture attached) After we had one side up we stood on the roof and measured to ensure every rafter was exactly 24" apart. Any rafters that didn't measure up were banged into the correct position. This roof is sturdy! My husband is 210 lbs. and has no issues navigating on top. Day 4: We took it easy by all accounts this day. We installed all the trim, doors and windows. We painted and painted some more. I opted to paint the floor frame the same color as the shed and it hid it perfectly. We moved stones to cover the side that faces our house and installed the drip edge along the sides. Day 5: ROOFING TIME. This was an all day job for my husband and I. We followed the video exactly and the roof came out perfect! We also installed the door hardware. We had to purchase different latches for the left door because we could not figure out how the included hardware worked. We also attached heavy duty hooks to the side of the shed and eye hooks to the doors to keep them from banging in the wind when opened. Our last mission of the day was to do something with the one foot drop from the floor to our yard at the front of the shed where the support beams showed. We priced ramps and they were crazy expensive, so we went au natural and built up the lawn and laid sod in a gradual slope. (picture attached) Overall, this project (and do not be mistaken it is a project) was an amazing experience for my family and I. The directions were detailed and as long as you follow them step by step and DO NOT JUMP AHEAD, everything will go together perfectly. I recommend one person project manage with the directions and everyone else do as they say!! <3 Bet you can guess which job I had! The space is fabulous for any layout you so choose. We had a long work bench in our garage, which we cut down and stacked for a large shelf area. We also had yard tool hangers on the garage walls which we relocated to the side of the shed, using a couple of cut 2x3's for support. This kept any screws from going through our wall board as well. On the back wall, my husband installed some cork board for his tools (which he is still sorting through.) The loft holds all of our camping gear and sports equipment. I have attached a picture of our junk for you as well - hopefully give you some organization motivation. Hope our experience helps with your purchase and your build! Best of Luck!

                                    The Shed Looks Majestic
We bought this at local homedepot store with discounted price. It had been kept inside the store, no mold whatsoever, but there are several "bad" studs - usable but not good. Everything you needed is inside the package - except shingles, drip edges, some nails etc. Overall, the instruction is useful and helpful, you need to read it very carefully. We "upgrade" the construction plan, 1), for floor frame and two side walls, use 16" spacing NOT 24" spacing; 2), Use 2x4x144" stud for floor frame (NOT 2x4x48" + 2x4x96" for both side frame) These options required us to make new purchases - (6 x) 2x3x78.5"; (1 x) 2x4x93"; (2 x) 2x4x144". We also purchased two 4x4x144" treated wood for runners (see pictures). My wife and me built this shed entirely by ourselves without any other's help. (Our neighbors would offer the help if needed.) We spent about extra US$450 for shingles, nails, screws, painting, felt, drip edge, additional studs. We rent homedepot's $20 truck for 75 minutes to delivery the package to our home (6.5 miles away from store), homedepot stuff moved the package to truck and we cut the packaging material to move the shed product to our garage by our hands in 20 minutes. We use entirely the new hammer which is purchased from homedepot the first day of the project to finish this shed. We are happy to report that this DIY build (Handy Home Majestic 8'x12') looks majestic and is very solid. Use hammer! Overall, we think the DIY package is worth its value even though it would be more welcome if better wood material used in this package.

                                      Nice Shed but Bad Wood
I purchased this shed so I could store all of my Holiday Airblown Inflatables in I saw this shed on display at Home Depot and just loved it with the loft and the workbench in the back but what I did not like about this kit is that tons of wood in the kit was warped I made lots of trips back to the Home Depot to get new wood and in this kit was a very poor way to make the 12ft boards for the frame they had a 8ft board connect to a 4ft board we put it together and when we went to lift it up to take out to the site it almost broke in haft so we decided just to buy a one piece 12ft 2x4 board so that was very poor but after we fixed all of the little flaws it had I got to admit it was a really nice shed with the windows it had it was very nice but instead of putting shingles on the roof of ours we put a metal roof and it looked fantastic it was so easy to install too it should hold up much longer with the metal roof. You will love this shed as it is a very nice one.
