Working great for all RF remote controls
IR remote devices need a direct view, most of the devices comes with IR remote. So I’m not completely satisfied. Only good thing is all my ceiling fans work with Rf remote control. So I’m able to control the fans with Google and Alexa. And it works great with shades too. Very easy too setup

Love the design, not so much for the newly designed remote..
We have one of these in our previous house and loved it. So, I ordered three of this model and two others with the exact same remote. Well, two that are in the family room are on same remote. One mysteriously turns off by itself-all the time. We will return the one like this that isnt put up yet, it was intended for the master. The other two, one for each spare bedroom, work well, finally. The huge problem is that there are only two channels that these can go on, so that works for three of our fans being on different channels. The other two are continuously being contolled by the other remotes since there isnt another way to do this. You cannot buy more than a few of this brand of ceiling fans for the same house unless you want to control them from the same remote. Our last house had this brand of fans with the older remote and never an issue with the turning on by other remotes.

We're sorry to hear that you had this issue. The remote has a multitude of available frequencies. Setting the remote dip switch in the 1 position simply places the remote in the mode to change the frequency. You may have to do the pairing process a few times depending on how many fans you have with the same remote. Each time you press the learn button, the remote cycles through internal settings to change frequencies. If you need assistance with pairing the remote separately for multiple fans, please call Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460 and one of the team members will be able to walk you through the process so that one remote only controls the intended fan. 68 inch white fan, I bought 2 for a very large high ceiling in a great room. They are beautiful. On high they spin real slow but amazingly create a breeze and cool off the room. Unfortunately for me one of the fans makes an irritating noise on the lower speeds. Sounds like gears grinding. After I looked up some reviews and found that others have the noise problem too.

      When it works its great
I purshased this because i like having smart devices and i hate having to get up to either find the remote or switch to turn on or off the fans. I have multiple fans and soloution was less expensive that buying multiple smart fans. Installation was easy enough and adding the Alexa skill was simple enough and on the first try all fans were voice controlled. My biggest disappointment is thar the power connecter was loose at the device and it kept losing power. So im going to return this one and make one final second attempt. I enjoyed it enough to give it a second chance

For what this costs, I expected more. I paired the Bond with a ceiling fan explicitly tagged as being compatible on Home Depot's site, and the performance is spotty at best. It's about a 50/50 chance that the command successfully gets through from five feet away with no obstructions. I tried pairing an electric fireplace also within five feet, and while Bond claims to have registered the remote, none of the commands work. If your remote requires you to push the same button multiple times to change fan speed or dim the lights, you're basically out of luck. I will say that the Alexa compatibility seems to work just fine, but it can be even more frustrating to ask her to turn off the fan light four times until it actually happens. Note that you need the original remote for your device to program the Bond, so you can't really use it to replace a lost remote. I wouldn't buy this again at full price; maybe at $50.

I have been bitten by the Smart Home bug and jumped in with both feet. I started with Wink and quickly switched to Smartthings. The one problem area is ceiling fans. The current solution for non wireless fans seems to be a zwave switch but many expensive fans like Emerson have a wall control but it talks wireless to the fan so before BOND there was no way to integrate it into your smart home solution. While Bond doesn't really integrate with SmartThings it can be used. For example I have a open two story family room and if I don't have the fan going reverse in the winter it can be 10 degrees warmer upstairs than downstairs. My goal was to get bond to turn on my ceiling fan when Ecobee was heating. Two products with smartthings support that would take 5 min. This required some creativity. I created an IFTTT account and linked my Smartthings Hub and Bond account to it. In smartthings I created a virtual dimmer switch called Family Room Fan. In IFTTT I added the virtual switch and told IFTTT that when the Virtual Dimmer was on to tell Bond to turn on my ceiling fan x%. This allowed me to have a virtual switch to control my ceiling fan. From there I was able to tell Webcore (Similar to IFTTT but much more powerful platform in the smartthings community.) So when Ecobee turns on heating it tell smartthings to turn on the virtual dimmer which tells IFTTT to tell Bond to turn on the ceiling fan. Overly complicated but it works great. If and when BOND supports Smartthings I think this product will be a game changer. Sadly one more Hub to add to my wall of smart home hubs.

I bought a couple of “smart” fans over the Black Friday weekend. The Home Depot representatives did not even know they carried this product online. They were no help on any questions that I had about this product. Home Depot should allow their employees some time to train about their new products. This product came with the ceiling fan, and a Google mini. The reason why I am focusing on that is 1 Bond unit is good for several fans and products. I am still giving it 5 stars because the Bond product works great!! I have been using it over a month now and had to reset it once. I am a reasonable person, and am not expecting perfection. It was super easy to install, and currently I am using 1 unit for 2 ceiling fans. Integration with my Google Home hub was easy as well. I have 1 Echo, but I have not hooked it up to that because I primar

Ceiling Fans have always been a sore spot for me in transitioning to a smart home as I didn't want to go out and purchase new "smart" fans (I have 5 in my home). I have been following the Bond for some time and recently purchased it. I couldn't be more pleased. Appearance: About the size of a hockey puck and a bit lighter, this disc (which looks similar to a Bamazon Gecko Bot) comes with a good sized power cord (so many of these items comes with a 1-2 foot cord, which just doesn't work for most homes and outlet locations!), so I was able to find a nice spot to tuck this thing away out of view. The good looking aesthetic and ample power cord earns high marks here. Quality: While this is an early review (I have only had it for about 3 weeks now), I have found the system to work every time as advertised, whether I use it through the Bond App (I am on Android), with no crashes, response issues, or failures or if I leverage voice commands through my Bamazon Gecko leveraging the Bond Skill. For best results, ensure that you use the recommendations provided to name your devices effectively and watch out for the character limit in the Bond Device Setup (see below). Also, be aware that the BOND gets substantially more range than your current Ceiling fan remotes. My one Bond unit covers a very large one story ranch style home for 4 ceiling fans in 4 separate rooms! As a result, I found out (unexpectedly) that my master bedroom and family room ceiling fans were on the same toggle switch pattern, so when the BOND sent an "On" signal to the family room (or the master bedroom individually), both went on! Previously, the distance between the two was no issue as the power from the manufacturer remote control was so limited, they would not interact with one another, so I will have to change the toggle switch pattern on one of them to "separate" the two. This is in no way a BOND issue, but something to keep in mind if you encounter the same result in your home. Value: Given that my current alternative was to go out and replace 4-5 ceiling fans in my home with "smart" fans at a cost of $150 (or more each), there is extreme value with the Bond. And given that the BOND team is increasing the number of devices it will support in the future, the value is only going to increase going forward. Ease of Installation: The install instructions were a tiny square shaped multi fold. To be honest, I was skeptical and was expecting them to send me to a website for 10 pages of instructions, but it was just plain and simple. Plug in the unit (for initial install, keep it easy to reach while you program the remotes and once complete with setup, you can put it almost anywhere in your home), install the BOND app, hit "Add Device" and following the on screen prompts. It worked and I setup 4 different remotes exactly as the instructions showed. As a bonus, I thought I would have to "program" each button of the remote, but once the BOND recognized the first button entry, it searched its database, and came back with "we think we found your remote" with all of the buttons and allowed me to test and confirm -- one click! The only limitation I found (and this is not horrible) is the character limitation on naming each device. For example, I could not enter "Family Room Ceiling Fan" (too many characters, though that is exactly what the device is, and I have to name it that way to avoid conflicts with other rooms and other lights)... Note: You can fix this with a BOND "trick" -- Call the device "Family Room Ceiling" and the BOND skill with Bamazon Gecko will automatically "add" the words "Light" and "Fan" for the respective commands so you can say "Turn off Family Room Ceiling Light" or "Turn on Family Room Ceiling Fan" and it will work... Very impressed with the BOND overall and hope to maintain this view over time with continued use.

              some issues
while I was trying to set this up for our new fan, I ran into some issues since I was getting ahead of myself. I had to do the setup a few times since I was trying to setup the BOND unit before I had the new fan installed. TIP; Install the fan first. Once the fan was installed, things went much easier. I am loving the new technology and look forward to the additional capabilities of the BOND unit. I am sure that once this unit trains me, I will have zero problems. I will mention that my Google Home Hub will show the BOND device as not connected after I ask it to do something. But it does what I ask and does afterwards as well. Might be a disconnect when the BOND unit is performing my request. Get one, and make life that much easier.

I waited a while to get this thing, and now that I have it up and running I wish I had purchased it earlier. The setup was easy and it works perfectly. I can now use my Echo Dot to control the light and fan in the TV room instead of hunting for the remote.

For the most part the setup is very straight forward. But, you may have to make several attempts to pair the fan remote to your device. Once it’s paired, it’s amazing! They even allow you the option to turn off some of the lights on the main control box.

Great addition to my smart home / echo dot (Alexa). I can control all the fans in my home, that have a remote control, with my voice. I just tell Alexa to turn on fan and what speed I want and also turn on/off the lights. If you have high ceilings and/or fans that are hard to reach you definitely need this. Or even if your relaxing after a hard day no more looking for the remote or getting up to turn on the fan or light.

I'd been waiting a while to buy this hub. We have 4 remote controlled old-style ceiling fans in our home and I'd been wanting to integrate them into our Google ecosystem. The hub did so nicely. I had an issue with a dimmer function for one of the fan lights and customer service responded promptly by email. I would buy the Bond hub again.

                      Not the right solution
It does everything it advertises, and works well with Home Assistant, but has one major flaw which makes me regret buying into its ecosystem: it's one-way communication. The fans I got have one button to toggle the light on and off, and although Bond does its best to track the state of the light, it gets desynced. Either a remote signal fails to reach the fan, or it sends a double signal, or someone just uses the fan's remote. I would rather have bought smart fans with Zigbee or Z-Wave.

Well it does work for the 1 ceiling fan I tried it on. Pros: Pretty easy to set up. Pairing the fan/remote with the device was simple. It recognized my fan & all its options correctly. It does work. Cons: Way too expensive for what it does. If you wanted to control all the fans in your house, you'd have to buy one of these for every room at $85-100 each. Then you have to power it with a USB charger. Then you have to place it somewhere in the room, and the thing is pretty big and only comes in black. So you'll have to consider where are you going to put this device? I'd say this is worth about half of what they're charging for it. Then it would be a good purchase.

Hi there, if the device or fan uses an RF remote, the Bond Bridge can cover approximately 2500 square feet in a wood-constructed residence, and this area will be reduced if there are metal walls or concrete. If IR, the Bond Bridge needs to be at least 10 feet from the device and within line of sight.

This means as long as your fans are within that 2500 sq ft (if RF), you don't need multiple Bond units. If you need assistance, please feel free to contact us at customerservice@bondhome.io Bond

This thing moves a lot of air... It's quiet, even on high speed. I've installed and used many different fans. These fans with the curved blades are the best at moving air, quiet, and use very little energy.
