Had electrician install under our new aluminum covered patio. Looks nice matches our patio and furniture. Has three fan speeds and 4light settings all of which are quite bright for the 20x20 covered area. Even the warm setting.

I've installed 2 of these fans so far and want to get 1 more soon. Easy to install by myself as a 51 year old woman. Higher volume air circulation than any other fans this price and size that I've personally owned. My ONLY complaint is when attaching the downrod to the motor assembly they glue the wiring in the middle so can't just push the hanger pin in. I took a screwdriver, put it into top of downrod, then gently moved the wires to the side while inserting the hanger pin to make it work.

I am very pleased with this Fan. It looks great and works better than I could have expected. The previous fan I had a separate hot wire on a wall switch so that the lights would turn on by the wall switch and the fan turned on by the pull chain. So I wired (coming out of the remote transmitter) the black wire to the constant Hot and the white wire to the wall switch. This produced great results: When you turn the wall switch off, then come back later and turn it back on it comes back on exactly where you left it. So if the light was off and the fan was on medium, that’s how it comes back on when you flip the wall switch. That worked out great. With four kids in the house, we can keep the remote up out of their reach (in the remote holder) so it doesn’t get lost. The kids just use the wall switch. That was better than I might have hoped for. As you can tell, I am really pleased with this. The installation seemed pretty normal to me. The fan looked great and works great.

Let me first say the packaging of all the Home Decorators Collection fans I have are top notch. Just about everything is double-packaged and fit securely inside the box. Instructions are also clearly laid out and easy to follow. They make assembly a lot easier by allowing the motor assembly to be assembled then installed on the mounting bracket. You don’t have to hold the up after that, so installing the wiring and the fan blades are much easier. This fan has almost like a snap-on blade installation which is so much easier than putting in a bunch of screws while standing on a ladder. It’s also a nice looking fan with a clean finish and the wicker textured fan blades look great. The ability to change the light temperature is a nice added feature. The fan works great and I’ve been happy with all of the fans I have from this brand. Recommended!

This is a beautiful, eye-catching ceiling fan due to its decorative fan blades done in the tobacco wicker finish. The blades are very lightweight and thin despite the motor being pretty heavy. Blades also have the "quick fit" feature where the the 3 slots just need to be lined up with the coresponding screws with gromits and locks in place. The Daniel ceiling fan has loads of features like a easy to use remote control with a wall mounted cradle for it, fan can be installed on a flat or angled ceiling -you will need to buy seperately a longer downrod for this. Has the normal 3 speeds and the "reverse" button on the housing.. The shade is made from plastic with a "twist & lock" feature which i particularly like. Its wet rated and has 6 different lighting options from warm light to daylight. Its LED so there are no bulbs to change. The Daniel Island 52" ceiling fan is for a large room size & being wet rated it can be installed on a patio. Id give it 5 stars because its a great quality residentual fan

Outstanding Fan, I got this to install in a new home on the patio when it was completed. But we forgot to have the Fan outlet installed in the home. So I installed it in the living room for now till I put in a new fan box in the patio. Any way I open up the box and took out everything and checked it to make sure it was all there then I started the install reading the instructions step by step. This was by far one of the easiest fans I have ever installed. The instructions were spot on and did not make you guess is it right on or not. All the parts are very easy to pick out and every thing went together like doing a easy puzzle. As for the Fan its made of plastic blades but that's because its is a outdoor Fan, The body fan motor assembly is metal and the Canopy The only plastic is the blades and light cover. Any way after installing I did the testing of operation. The remote worked flawlessly I like the way you have 6 lighting shades bright white has 3 intenseness then you have a soft white with 3 intenseness. Then the fan 3 speeds are also great Low med high. I really have nothing bad to say about this fan at all It's quite I don't even hear it running and that's with no noise at all from any were. Really Great fan unit.

Ordered the indoor/outdoor ceiling fan to replace a deteriorating fan in my covered outdoor pavilion. The fan came disassembled and well packaged for shipment with all necessary hardware for installation. Installation was easy taking about an hour. The fan features a trademarked “Quickfit installation” design which includes a slide on mounting bracket (so you don’t have to completely remove the outlet mounting screws), a quick twist-on and lock shade, and snap in blades. The only required wire nut electrical connections were from the outlet box to the remote control sensor. The other two other electrical connections are simply plugged in. The fan has a modern island look with a matte black powder coated metal frame, dark brown (tobacco) composite wicker blades, and a white frosted unbreakable plastic shade. The integrated LED light is bright and dimmable, adjustable to 6 different colors, and maintenance free which the manufacture states can last up to 40 years. The remote responsively controls the light, fan speed, and light color. The fan runs smoothly and quietly at all three selectable speeds and moves a lot of air at high speed. I can’t say enough about how much I like this fan and time will tell how long the unit and all its electronics will hold up to a covered outdoor environment.

very very nice ceiling fan for use indoor or outdoor. the fan looks great. it is dimmable and the colors of the white lighting can be changed. it is remote controlled and appears well made and is very attractive. the fan would look great on a porch, on a screened porch or sunroom in addition to a den, living area, or family room. the fan is very attractive and appears well made. also ease of installation was a big plus

So far so good. Installed on outdoor patio, provides air movement and lighting. Both not excellent but good. My concern is lifespan, so we'll see how that goes.

The fan stopped working after 3 days had to take it down and return to Home Depot
