I set it all up perfectly. Had a carpenter put a 6 inch vent hole in the back of my garage. No bends in the line. Power is fine. Ran for about two hours then stopped cooling. Been trying to get it on today and the compressor kicks on for a second then shuts off. What a piece of junk and due to the time to get a carpenter out to the house I don’t think I can return it.

Buyer beware - what you get is not what is in the advertised description. The unit does not include the Continuous Drain System: there is no port to connect a standard garden hose tube to continuously drain water collected when using in dehumidifying mode. Customer service could not explain why. I have contacted Honeywell for their explanation. Also, the unit is noisy, but not standard AC noise. Sounds like something is vibrating inside. On the positive side, it does cool effectively.

So i needed a portable for my 93 year old moms living space. Window units would not work. I have to say im impressed with this unit. It was easy to install i needed no help. Plugged in turned on and within minutes the area was cooling down. It is a den kitchen and bedroom. With 2 ceiling fans it was what i hoped for. My only complant is the drain is on the bottom of course but i hv to supply pan to drain it in. I have a quarter of an inch which is ridiculous but i will figure that out I am not complaining because im thrilled with thus unit.

While I have only had the unit a short while, it cools well, it is easy to set up, and is quiet - especially on lower fan speed settings. This unit arrived well packaged, and the quality of materials seems excellent. This Honeywell portable air conditioner is easily moved around the home on it's wheels. It comes with a set of panels that allow the exhaust port to be configured to fit windows of all sizes and design. The unit can be operated in cooling mode, fan only, or in dehumidification mode. The manual also indicates that it can operate in heating mode, but I have not been able to get that functionality. The unit includes a remote which is easy to operate once you understand the settings as explained in the included manual. The plate that fits in the window opening didn't work well with my Andersen sash windows, leaving a small gap around the edges. Sealing with foam tape or duct tape may be necessary for more than occasional use.

PROS The portable air conditioner is easy to setup and the casters allow you to roll it into any location. The controls are simple and easy to understand and the unit design does not detract from the room. In cooling mode, the portable unit puts out very cold air while exhausting the warm air through the hose. The fans are quiet, allowing for normal volume conversation in the room. CONS The unit does not have any hooks to wrap the power cord around when not in use. When in cooling mode, the compressor does take some time to engage (this information is not in the manual). Would prefer the unit be made in the USA.

We ordered the air-conditioner to supplement or existing forced air home system. We had low expectations because of that reason. This unit far exceeds or expectations. Installation was easy and the system works flawlessly. Highly recommend this unit.

It works very well and keeps the entire downstairs cool and comfortable, it is alot quieter than most other air conditioners

It cools really well

The packaging for the unit looked like it was dumped off the back of a truck; however, I took the unit home hoping for the best. I ran the A/C for less than a day at 76’ and it blew a fuse. Since then I’ve been only using the fan which works slightly better than a window box fan. The thing is too heavy or I would have returned it. Really bad purchase and concerned its an electrical hazards.

I've gone through a bunch of these AC units and this is the best one I've bought.

Worked reasonably when I bought it. Now, the AC kicks in, runs for a few seconds and then switches to fan. Doesn’t cool at all

Really happy with this unit. Quality is great and a handsome looking unit. I think it works fantastic and would recommend this portable ac to anyone looking for one. Hurricane Ian knocked our power out for four days and this really was a great help. I hooked it up via generator and cooled the rooms we used the most very well. Two weeks ago our main house ac broke and being 15 years old it made no sense to spend the couple of thousand to fix it. So, again because of the hurricane, the ac companies have been super busy and for two weeks we have using this workhorse of a unit to cool our home. It's rated for up to 700 square feet but it's been cooling 800 sq feet plus of home that we use the most. Couldn't happier with that. With the temps still in the high 80's here we are able to stay in the home until the new home ac unit gets installed.

Got this installed, first thing I noticed didn't not come with any foam at all to help seal gaps. Then once I started using it, it struggled to cool my room efficiently. On a hot day 100 outside it struggled to keep it at 76. I returned this unit and got a black and decker of the same BTU and it works much better able to keep my room at 70 degrees even when 100 outside. I do not recommend the honeywell, go for the black and decker.

We’ve had our ac now for 4 months and it has been a workhorse. We’ve had other portable ac’s and none compare to the cooling ability of this one. Easy to clean filters (we have to do this 2 times per month) and easy to drain. Setup was easy. We live in a very old house and have it vented through the fireplace. It is in our bedroom and the noise level is low enough not to be bothersome. It works very well. A great buy.

This air conditioner works extremely well. I barely notice that it’s running even on high. The dehumidifier function works great also, easy to use easy to set up. No complaints whatsoever!

The unit does not adequately cool as expected. I had a Black and Decker with a lower BTU rating in the past and it was much more effective.

Unit arrived and was easy to set up, used it to cool down garage while I worked on car. It brough the temp and humidity down in about an 1-1/2 Hour in a 3 car garage. Worked really well and did not fill up with water yet. have used it 3 times and it works great. used some duck tape to seal exit hose thru window, it's in a garage so no one cares what that looks like. worked in it all day with 90+ temp outside, it kept the garage at 78F all day.
