This is a very nice fan that will add style to your house, the blades turning in opposite directions are a very nice and different feature. The remote is really good for the fan but as far as the light goes, it really needs an on and off switch with the dimmer, turning the light on and off takes some time to master as it is with the dimmer switch. We installed on a 17' celing with a down rod and it really makes the room look great. The airflow is also really good

I added two, five foot Hunter nickel downrods when I installed two Hampton Bay Nickel Mercer 52" fans in my 15 foot ceiling family room. The Hunter nickel finish matched the Hampton Bay nickel fan perfectly. We had no problems with attachment during installation. The price at Home Depot was half the price for the same product from a major online retailer, also.

I got this to extend my Hampton Bay fan, which I bought online, but needed an extension rod because of our high ceilings. It appeared from the description that it might work, but we found that the hole for a screw was too small. We were able to drill it larger and it worked fine.

Great product to lower a 52" fan and light away from the ceiling which is sloped.

This worked as described for use with Hunter ceiling fan. The metal matched the brushed nickel on the fan.

It is packaged well. No marks were found on rod upon receipt. The rod is heavy duty. It is supporting a 72” six blade ceiling fan with no problems. I highly recommend this rod.

I needed a 12" downrod to match a Garland fan, but none were in stock. Customer support said this brushed nickel would closely match the nickel style of the fan, and it did - I can hardly notice the difference in appearance.

Exactly what I needed

The fan is very nice. The degree of adjustability w/the fan and light is a plus. But, why would you not allow hard wiring to this unit. Our old fan had double switches in the wall, so set up should of been easy. I have replaced 3 other fans in the house w/hunter fans. All have been great. install and wiring, no problems. But now you have to use the remote which does work, but now I have a total of 2 switches on my wall that I must dead head. Your instructions show either single wiring or double wiring. But the fan itself won't work unless you use the remote control. Nice fan but doesn't make sense for pre-existing wiring.

The fan was very easy to mount. Clear instructions, cleverly packed parts. We purchased 12" rod separately. Rods in the package are 2.5" and 4" long (too short for 10 feet ceiling. I installed myself. Everything works, quiet motor. It decorates our living room.

I gave my ceiling angle number to customer service asking if I need a downrod. They said yes. I ordered it but did not need it at all! Makes me think they told me to get it just to make some money. Very disappointed. I paid more for shipping ( which is not refundable) than the downrod.

Needed the 12" downrod to accommadate my ceiling.. It was easy to replace out with the downrod that came with the fan. Good written and visual instructions.

This downrod matched my ceiling fan and installed as expected.
