Ground wire didn't unscrew from the rod. Fan blades get assembled with fan on the ceiling; blade slots too wide. When you insert each blade they shift up/down/side to side while motor circles & you struggle to align screw & washer on the bottom. 15x (3 screws/5 blades). Twice, got 2 screws in but 3rd wouldn't fit. Worse, the instructions LIE. You can't see where holes align from underneath with the motor control & wires in the way! See my photos.

Needed a ceiling fan upgrade in my bedroom and this modern fan looks great. Had a friend install it with ease

This is a very nice unit, extremely well built and sturdy, and is packaged well. The fan is very heavy similar to what a very large fan would weigh. When installing, be very sure that the mounting box in the ceiling is the right size for the mount that comes with the fan. It's best to have a steel mounting box because of the weight of the fan. It comes with two lengths of hanging rods to hang the fan closer of further down from the ceiling. Putting things together was standard procedure except getting the inset blades mounted, the screws are a little hard to get started because of where the mount is , take your time , it's worth it. The fan was balanced perfect, and totally quiet. Well worth the money, and a good fit for rooms that do not need a large fan.

Short version: Good: The fan looks really sharp. The price is great. The bulbs are replaceable, which means you can get the brightness and color that you want. Not good: Instructions are pretty bad. Build quality is not great. The light kit installation is AWFUL. The bulbs that come with the light are pretty terrible. They cut A LOT of corners to get to this price point. The long version: I've put in a bunch of ceiling fans and this looked straightforward. If this is your first install, you'll want to watch some YouTube videos, because some of the instructions are poorly worded. IMPORTANT TIP: Do NOT overtighten the screws attaching the bracket to the box. If you do, you will compress the rubber bumpers, which will cause the canopy screw holes to be too close to the ceiling, and you won't be able to install the canopy until you loosen the bracket. Blade installation was a pain. You're trying to put in fifteen screws upside down while holding the fan blades in place. Hunter Fan, if you're listening? Use Allen screws instead. A Phillips screw will fall off the screwdriver if you look at it wrong, but an Allen screw won't. The light kit is where the problems started. Here's the major design flaw: The idea is to slide holes in the light kit onto two screws in the fan motor housing, then twist slightly to hold it in place while you tighten things up. The problem is that the holes in the light kit are inside the light kit switch box, mostly obscured by a tangle of wires (see pic. Green arrow points to a tiny hole that you're supposed to get a screw into. While it's upside down. This has come up in other reviews; the one I saw had a response from Hunter saying "sounds like you have a defective unit!". It's not. The design is awful. You have to hold the light kit up to the fan, then align two tiny screws with two almost invisible holes that are obscured by wires. Once you have the light kit on, you twist gently, then, praying you don't accidentally knock it down and have to start over, you put the third screw onto your screwdriver. You then have to slide the screw, balanced on your screwdriver, through a maze of wires into a tiny hole. Then, WITHOUT DROPPING THE SCREW, carefully wiggle the light kit so that the hole in the light kit is aligned with the hole in the fan motor. Oh, and if you cross-thread the third screw, you're pretty much out of options and probably will need a new fan. (Using two screws is a Bad Idea, the lightshade is heavy glass)If you do buy this fan, budget at least an hour for installing the light kit. I would happily have paid another $20 for this fan if the light kit had been a five minute install. So once I turned it on and fired it up: The lights that come with the fan are 9w 800 lumen LED bulbs with a 3000K color temperature. These are probably okay for a living room or a bedroom where you want soft and warm light. I have this fan in a home office and I want something bright to work by. The office is about 11' x 11'. Two 14w 1500 lumen 5k LEDs light up the room pretty well; once the sun goes down I do need additional light at my desk. I think the two bulbs were an additional $8 or so, which isn't much, but it's 10% of the price of the fan, so just figure on spending that. You'll spend more if you want dimmable. The other issue I had once I turned it on: The part of the motor assembly that moves - the part with the blades attached - is out of round. By which I mean that if you watch the edge of it against the light kit or the top of the motor housing, it goes in and out by around 0.25". It's not a huge problem, but it did concern me that something was terribly installed. Nope, just bad quality control. Finally: In some of the reviews where people express concerns, Hunter Fan says "Hey, please contact our customer service! We'd love to chat!" I did. I emailed them 13 days ago. Never heard back. So that's ... not great.

The fan looks great, was easy to assemble and well made. We did change the bulbs to a brighter led.

Easy installation, silent fan, bright light...can't say too much more! If you're looking for a smaller fan for a small size room, this fan is perfect. It has an interesting contemporary look to it too. Would buy again!!

It's nice and small. Operates quietly. When using the pull chains to change the fan speed or turn off the light, the whole fan housing rocks to the side, since the chains exit the housing with too much friction. I recommend using a remote with it.

Sleek fan, modern and clean look for the price. Pull chains are a bit hard to pull on, but over all pleased with my purchase.

Love these fans. We purchased 3 of them for our house. They were easy to install, quiet and creates the perfect breeze in the rooms.

This is a very nice fan and moves a lot of air. The motor is basically silent and the only sound you hear is the movement of the fan blades through the air at high speed. The other thing that really makes a big difference for this fan are the lights as it can accommodate standard size bulbs. It comes with 9w (60w equivalent) bulbs but the socket can take up to 14.5w max which means you can put a larger LED bulb in there. So, you get really good light out of this fan/light combo. I ended up pairing this with the Westinghouse remote control and it works just great. Installation was pretty standard with the wire twist nuts to make the connections. You'll only need to cut the three wires to the fan and strip back the insulation to make the connection. There were two semi-challenging tasks in installation. The first one was mounting the light assembly to the body of the fan. You have to somewhat blind install based on two screws that you put in ahead of time and you have to locate the screws and twist to secure it. The second is the installation of the blades. Not the easiest of tasks as you are under the fan up on a ladder but not too bad.

Hunter makes great quiet fans. This 36 inch fan fits the small space it is installed in and it is very quiet and attractive. It was easy to install. If it had a remote control it would be perfect.

Attractive, quiet and the proper size for smoothly circulating air in a small room. We installed this fan in an alcove that I use for a home office. My only complaints are: 1. I had trouble installing the fan because some of the screws provided in the kit were apparently made of pot metal, so the heads could not take the force needed for tightening. To get the job done, I used screws from other sources and threw out the Hunter screws; 2. The pull-down mechanism for the fan speed is too stiff for easy use.

Beautiful fans, easy to set up. Directiona are easy to follow. When putting on the fan blades insert the first scew into the middle blade. Love the fans, great purchase. Our back rooms are so much cooler now.

We installed this Tarrant 36 in. LED Indoor Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan by Hunter in our bedroom and we really like it. It is very, very quiet, which is very good seeing where it's installed! The installation was straight forward and the directions are very easy to follow, even if you have never installed a ceiling fan before. Installing the blades was not the easiest I have done over the years but finally figured how to make it a little easier. The LED lights that come with in are not very bright but it's something you can live with or just install some brighter bulbs. The blades have one light tan side and one a little darker tan to go with any any color you may have in your home. The fan has a three speed motor and can be run with or without the light on. The fan includes the hardware to mount it in three different options. They are Angled,Low Ceiling Mounting or Standard mounting. This is a great fan. If you buy one from Home Depot you will not be sorry.

Love these hunter fans. They are stylish and whisper quiet. This is the second Hunter fan I have recently installed with this type of blade system. The install went fairly typical for this ceiling fan and the blades were a breeze to install. I recommend putting the center screw in first-barely tight, then install the other two screws and then tighten all. The instructions are very well illustrated for those who may be a bit unfamiliar with installing ceiling fans. Overall, this is a great value from a leading brand we all know and trust. The frosted globe weakens the lights output slightly but is tolerable. I am very pleased with this fan and trust it will last one many years trouble-free.
