Beautiful and bright
We replaced a very dim ceiling fan and are so happy with this product. It’s bright, quiet, and beautiful. Wish we would’ve bought it sooner—didn’t know what we were missing. We did hire an electrician to install it and he got it up in a jiffy.

Great Ceiling Fans
We purchased 2 of these fans for our teenage boy’s bedrooms. They look great in the rooms, the quality appears to be very good, and it was a good value. Very nice look and really like the way the blades contrast with the oil rubbed bronze. Happy customer.

This fan is so quiet and I love the look of it. Assembly and installation were easy as well. I did not use the globes that came with it, I had clear seeded globes which gives it a modern farmhouse vibe.

I really like this fan however the constant clicking from it are driving me crazy. I looked online and apparently it can be cause from having a loose blade but after taking it apart twice, checked and double checked the blades I’ve given up. This is very frustrating after going through all the trouble of installing it I don’t want to take it apart to return it. I wish I’d gone with a different brand.

I have never had so much trouble installing a light kit on a fan.
This is for the model 59268 Anslee bronze fan. Installing the fan body was a piece of cake. Installing the light kit was a pain. You have to thread the screws thru a jungle of wires a seen in the photos. If you install this yourself just beware.

Spent hours trying to install the remote
I love the fan but the remote is a nightmare. Save yourself the hassle and just get the fan. If you install the remote, you can only use the remote and the light switch is then useless.

The ceiling fan is great if you have a flat ceiling. However anyone with a cathedral will run into the same problem we did. The remote comes separate and is NOT built into this fan which means the fans cover plate is not able to hold the remote receiver wo having caps.

This remote came in a bundle. It is a universal remote, very easy to install just above the motor. No need to run any extra wires. Perfect for my lanai because I was able to wire my new fan to an outdoor outlet and just use this remote to turn on the fan, adjust the fan speeds. My fan does not have a light attached so I cannot comment on the light function on the remote.

The fan has a lot of parts so it took a bit longer to put it together than we originally anticipated. But once everything was in place, it worked out perfectly. Loving this fan. It's just what I needed and wanted.

This remote was already paired with it's receiver. That is so helpful. The little LED lights let you know the batteries work which was super helpful during installation (is the problem with the remote, the switch being turned off, the wiring, etc.?). It doesn't feel super lightweight compared to the other one I have. If you're adding to the wall, make sure it's level to the other switches.

Great fan for a smaller standard bedroom. Installation was extremely easy. I had a standard builder grade light in this room and it was very dim. I'm not a fan of dome light ceiling fans; I don't feel they provide adequate light. This fan provides great light for the bedroom. There is not any movement or noise on this fan when running.

I have only had it for about 2 or 3 weeks so I am leary about rating a product this soon but this is what I will say, So far so good. Without having a remote on this fan and the fact that it is a Hunter I don’t think I will have any problems but I bought a warranty just in case.

I really like the rustic barn board look on one side of the blades. Other than messing with getting the remote box up in there, it was an easy install. (The remote device was an additional purchase) Runs quiet and the dimmable light is nice. My 80 y/o husband hung it in about an hour. But he has installed several fans in the past. We live in Arizona, enough said? You could say he's my fan club. We've had it about a month and it is not our first Hunter fan/light

This Oakfor Ceiling Fan is fantastic. Nice looking and easy to hang. I had another ceiling fan with “new innovative technology” that I just could not feel safe with. The Oakfor used a standard wiring and hanging system. It has quick connect light fixture connectors. The hanging bracket connects to the junction box in the ceiling and the ball socket is an integral part of the bracket. Just slip the ball in the socket and connect the wires. No holding the motor and struggling to align anything. The ball is not perfectly round but is formed with 3 lobes that match the hangar bracket for stability. A real good idea I thought. You cannot beat LED lighting for brightness and energy efficiency. The blades used a rubber grommet to help locate and greatly reduces the need to balance blades. They are not easy to insert. Slant them and push part in the hold and very carefully use a flat blade screw driver to push the rest of the way through. Be careful not to damage blade and make sure the grommet is seated evenly. Stay cool my friend.

My wife and I have been wanting a new fan for our sons bedroom for quite a while. The existing one has to be as old as the house which was 1990. It was so old it had that wicker weave inlaid in it. This new OAKFOR fan from Hunter is night and day apart from the old fan. It is sleek and modern looking with (3) LED bulbs that draw 9 watts each but put out 60 watts each for a total of 180 watts of light. My sons old fan had (4) 40 watt bulbs that didn't nearly light up his room as well as these new bulbs do. My sons current setup had two swtiches on the wall. One to turn on the fan and another to turn on the lights with one of those little sliders on it to dim the lights if you want. I read everything on the box and the manual to see if it was okay to use a dimmer switch on the lights and we couldn't find anything one way or another. I went ahead and hooked it up and tested it and there is no flickering or anything and the LED lights dim perfectly so I'm going to keep using it this way. (After attaching my six pictures I just saw on the side of the LED bulb box that the lights are indeed dimmable). After installing the fan I laid on my sons bed and you could definitely tell how much more wind this fan put out and how much quieter it is then his old fan was. This fan is whisper quiet. My sons room is approximately 13' x 10' and this 48" fan was the perfect size for his room. This fan has the option of a dark walnut on one side or a natural wood (almost light gray) color on the other side. We chose to have the natural wood color facing down and it makes the ceiling look nice and airy. The dark walnut color was kind of to dark for his small room. I really like the two choices they gave us with this fan. This ceiling fan came with three mounting options for "low", "standard" and "angled ceilings". My sons ceiling was a standard 8' ceiling so we installed it like normal and we had no problems. There is not one bit of wiggle to the fan and I did not have to balance it at all after installing. This fan has a brushed nickel finish and the three "cased white glass" covers that go over the bulbs give it a clean and modern look. This fan has a pull chain for both the lights and the fan for quick on/off. It also has three speed settings so you can adjust the amount of air movement you want to your mood. It also has a reversible motor so during the winter months you can reverse it to draw the heat off the ceiling and push it back down on you. The Energyguide says that this fan will cost about $10 a year to run based on a .12 cents per kWh and 6.4 hours use per day. Energy use is 37 watts. The one negative with this fan was the installation. I have installed several of the Hunter 5 Minute Fans and they are a lot easier to install. I guess you could say they have spoiled me. This fan took me about one hour to remove the old fan and install the new one with my wife helping me. The instructions were perfect with great illustrations and step by step instructions and it was easy to install it just took a while longer then I'm used to. I think the older I have become the easier I want things or maybe I'm just getting lazier. Either way I would definitley recommend this fan to anyone looking just know it's going to take about 45 minutes to install.

Great alternative to running new wiring
I usually prefer to have a fan and light switch on the wall wired with the appropriate romex for the extra wire for the fan, however in our master bedroom it wasn’t possible to fish new wire to the ceiling fan due to attic access issues. This switch will give you the ability to control your fan and lights separately without the use of the pull chains, and since it uses a wireless remote you can place the remote cradle wherever you wish or move the remote around the room with you if desired. Install – Install was very easy. After turning off the breaker, simply remove the ceiling box cover and wire the controller in following the wiring chart included. Our Hunter fan had a black wire with a white stripe instead of a blue wire for the fan, but other than that it was very straight forward. I also have to commend Hunter for including wire nuts in the packaging as I always find it annoying when they are not included. The controller is small enough to fit under the dome or even in the ceiling box if it’s standard size. You will also need a small Phillips screwdriver to install the button battery in the remote and then decide where to mount the remote cradle. You can either install it with screws or command release (included). We installed ours on the switch cover right next to the switch as we prefer to leave it in the cradle as to not lose it. Setup - There isn’t much to setup as the remote will most likely work right out of the box. Just be sure your switch and pull chains are on before starting, being sure the fan is set to high. Dimming did not work right away and the reference card for the remote had to be referenced to enable dimming. Being able to disable dimming can be very helpful when you are using LED or CFL bulbs without dimming capability, especially somewhat expensive LED candelabra bulbs. Impressions – I was very happy with the easy install and the small size of the remote. My only complaint with this unit is the somewhat lacking instruction card for the use of the remote. Setting the dimming mode and some of the other operations aren’t exactly clear, and better instructions would have been very helpful, and should have also been included on the main instruction sheet as there were absolutely no remote instruction on the main instructions. Overall I am very happy with this remote and would gladly buy a second when the need arises.

No more messing with chains to control the fan or light!
I have 4 ceiling fans, three indoors and one outside under a canopy. All the inside ceiling fans are controlled by switches that let me control the fan speed and lights (dimmer), but the outside could only be controlled by the pull chains since there is no good place to install switches and it would be a wiring mess. Low and behold I see this, it answers all my ceiling fan and light prayers (well almost). This installs like most other fan/light controls (the ceiling module looks like the ceiling module from a name brand switch manufacturer). Turn off the power to the circuit that your fan is on (unless you like getting zapped or like to temp fate). Remove the trim ring from the fan and make 4 wire nut connection (light, fan, power and neutral). Install the trim ring and turn on the power if you turned it off. Install the battery in the remote and you are done, unless you want to read the manual. Now I don't need to stand up and reach over the patio table and yank on chains to control the fan speed or the light brightness. Also as a bonus with none of the my other fan/light control can do it now I can dim LED and CFL bulbs in the ceiling fan if they are dimmable. It's nice on the outside so you can create some ambiance. All you need to remember is to keep the remote handy and not loose it. I don't think it is weather proof. As for answering all my ceiling fan/light prayers, if it were able to be connected to or controlled by a smart home product that would have been the cou degra. Then all I would need is a smartphone. Still I am very happy with it. Now I just need to wait till it warms up so be able to use it.

Very easy to install on our fan and has lots of useful features
I recently installed a fan/light over the workbench in our outdoor workshop and was getting fed up with hitting my head on the on/off chain so I was very happy to discover this fan remote control. It was very easy to install with my existing fan and the remote provides a good range of fan control features including fan/light on/off, fan speed and even dims the lights if your fan has dimmable bulbs. The remote comes with a specially designed bracket which can be attached to the wall so you never lose the remote. Installing the receiver/controller box in the fan was very straightforward using the included instructions. The design allows the control box to be hidden inside the top canopy cover that normally covers the fan mounting bracket and wires. It is very easy to wire up and the kit even includes new wire nuts. Once installed it is completely hidden from view which makes for a very tidy installation. The remote control has a specially designed bracket that can be used to store the remote when not in use. The kit comes with a couple of screws or a double sided sticky pad to attach it to the wall. The remote has a range of up to 75' and the included battery will last up to 5 years according to the info on the packaging. Installing the battery in the remote will require a smaller Phillips screwdriver and even with the screw removed, the cover takes a bit of force to pry it off to fit the battery. The remote provides a good range of control over the fan/light including: Fan on/off Light on/off Fan speed Light dimming (if dimmable bulbs are fitted to the fan light) It comes with a 12 month warranty and can be used indoors our outside since the remote control is rated for use in damp environments.
