Great grill for the price. Well made and nice fit/finish. Classic aluminum body grill and really nice heavy cast iron grates. Instructions are easy to follow so assembly is no problem. Heats up pretty fast. And heat seems pretty even across entire grill surface.

I swore my next grill was going to be a high end model. Unfortunately after doing some research that dream died. This Huntington was just too much of a good deal to pass up. Not just because of the low price but because this is really great old school grilling. The cast aluminum cook box is better then coated steel and stainless models and will practically last forever. Nothing beats it for holding in heat and durability. The vintage style H-burner works well. I usually set my grill up with a hot side and cooler side, so only two burner controls work fine for me. If you've figured out why you need 4, 5 or 6 Burners then good job. This one isn't for you. The grill looks better in the wild than on the website but it's certainly not the prettiest grill around. Mine came with a metal handle instead of the plastic one shown and I think Huntington has upgraded the part. Some reviews complained the plastic handles could melted during high heat burn offs. The handle they included looks nicer and is very comfortable. The center portion stays super cool and is padded. One of my side shelves came damaged which wasn't a complete surprise as the box showed signs of rough shipping trip. A quick call to customer service resulted in them sending a new one for free. No hassle. I also had trouble with the igniter until I discovered the included battery was dead. Just unscrew the igniter button from the control panel for access. I didn't see anything in the instructions about this but it doesn't take a degree in rocket science to figure it out. Overall the entire grill was easy to build and the directions were pretty clear. If you want to impress the neighbors with a big shiny toy this grill isn't it; but you can certainly impress everyone with your cooking because this thing flat out works great. The 'Flav-R-Wave' burner covers are very large and I've had no trouble with flare ups. They are also impressively thick and should last a long time. Everything I've thrown on this grill has come off perfect and the heat seems very even. I did a half dozen corn on the cobb and expected the ones in the center to cook more then the ones at the edge but they came out pretty much all the same. The grill surface size is very good for a typical family and the warming rack is spacious. The cooking grates are fine if you like coated cast iron although I'm personally partial to stainless steel since they require less upkeep. I don't think it's a big deal and most Weber Grills use the same type of grates. That said, this thing can put perfect sear marks on anything. I'm very happy to buy a grill made right here in North America but I bought it for it's functionality and value not because of where it is from. Most grills in this price range don't last long but this one has a long warranty on the important parts. The 4200 model seems to be made in Canada although the parent company (Onward Manufacturing) also makes grills in Tennessee and Indiana. They also make Broil King grills if you want something fancier.

The BBQ is easy to assemble and very sturdy, but their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! The starter didn't work, so I called customer service for a replacement part. To begin, they never heard of the Huntington Cast 4200 2-Burner Propane Gas Grill (they must sell it under a different name), so I e-mailed them a picture. They responded by trying to sell me a $30 plastic grill cover, plus $15 for shipping/handling. I replied by saying I wanted a replacement starter, and they asked me (again) the name of the product. I replied that it was a Huntington Cast 4200 2-Burner Propane Gas Grill, then they wanted the serial and part number. I replied, "Don't you keep track of that stuff?" I decided to drop the issue because it was just easier to light the grill with a match.

Great BBQ
After looking at different grills I decided on this one for my husbands B-day gift. Based on the 40,000 BTU's and 700sq.in cooking space, this grill seems the best for the price out of all of them. I also like the cast iron grills and the cast aluminum body. I had to order online because we don't have any way of getting one home from the store so free shipping was ideal. Ordered this grill on 9/4/15, it got here on 9/15/15. Very happy with the speed of shipping. Upon inspection of the box noticed some box damage, wasn't concerned. However, after I got all the pieces out of the box I noticed that the lid of the BBQ was chipped and cracked (see picture). I believe that if the company packed it better it wouldn't have been an issue. We decided to put the BBQ together anyway, and I would call the company later. Putting the BBQ together took about 1.5 hours. The instructions are hard to understand because its all pictures...no words. So you have to really take your time and be sure you are putting the right screw and thing in the right place. Still not a bad build, it goes quick once you figure out what and where. The bottom front panel can be put in the back or front (see pictures). We put ours in the back so its easier to access the propane from the front. But online they show the panel in the front hiding the propane. After the build, I called the company directly using the 1-800 # that was in the box. I explained to them the entire situation of the lid, and they sent a new one out immediately, no charge, free of cost, because its under warranty. The new lid arrived 10 days later on 9/25/15. The new lid was packaged correctly and had no damage at all. This grill cooks really good. Its been awhile since we've grilled because we sold our old big 6 burner when we bought a new home, and it been about a year. I wasn't use to how hot this thing got and stayed hot and cooked really fast, that I over cooked the steak the first time I used it. Its much better than our old big 6 burner, that I'm sure cost twice as much. Only real complaint I would have on this product is that it doesn't have a drip pan or cup. Just a holder for a drip cup(see picture). I asked the company about this when I called and yeah, they said to use a can. Also the instructions don't tell you about the ignition wire at all. Unwrap the wire from around the burner as you are putting everything together and push the wire into the ignition box underneath. Its really self-explanatory. Now I have and extra lid (the cracked one) that I have no idea what to do with. Seems wasteful to just through it out, maybe ill make a planter out of or something IDK. Enjoy!

It works so far, but the craftsmanship is lacking.
Got it in the mail today! Right out of the box, some of the pieces were warped, but could be flattened out and the handle came broken (luckily not a major piece and it still screwed on snug). The directions aren't the greatest and the pieces don't fit together perfectly so I had to use a bit of man power, but eventually they fit. It also doesn't come with ANY tools so you'll need two different sized Phillips head screwdrivers and a couple of crescent wrenches. One last thing that is a bit puzzling is that the side trays don't bolt on, but instead just slide on and come off when grabbing on to them in order to wheel it around so that's troubling. ADDITION TO THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: You have to undo the ignition electrical wire which is wrapped around the base of the burner and insert it into the back of the ignition switch. It takes a little bit of force, but eventually it will go in and the burners should ignite right away. Haven't actually cooked anything on it yet, just had it on HIGH for about 30 minutes to clean it and although I know you're not supposed to pay much attention to the thermometer on the outside of the grill, it got up to "600 F"in semi windy conditions so that's a good start. The thick plastic handle does get VERY WARM so I would suggest getting a cover or use a cooking glove when operating the grill and hopefully the handle doesn't eventually melt. Will update my review once I cook some steaks.

Damaged
The grill came in a timely manner, but when trying to assemble we noted some damaged parts. The front panel to cover the propane tank was dented on the tabs and corners. I was able to fix this with a mallet. However the burner was warped/bent beyond repair and the thermometer screw was broken. Emailed grill customer service on the weekend and didn't get a response back till Wednesday. They said they would email me parts under the warranty, but needed my telephone number as I had already provided the other info already. The info was sent and I am waiting for confirmation of parts being sent. I think they are kind of slow with their responses and am not sure when parts will get here. I am considering returning the item, but other parts are pretty much built already. If and when I get the parts, I will update my review.

Packaging/shipping damage
Grill cast aluminum top was not sufficiently packed. Top and bottom wedged together caused a protruding crack in top. Had to allow grill to heat up and then gradually hammered crack protrusion flat. Hopefully crack will not grow with use. Also, side shelves would not stay in place. Poor design on plastic locks for shelf retention. A couple of #6 stainless sheet-metal screws took care of that. Plastic shelves are somewhat out of place for a grill to place any hot items on. Redwood slat shelves would have been a better choice. Grill heats evenly and cast iron grates hold heat for a good even cooking surface. Overall good value. Too bad these grills are not being made available in the stores. They are much more durable and efficient than the shiny cheap stainless ones that only last a couple of years. That way you could check for packaging/shipping damage before purchase.

OMC E-Z built barbecues
Perfect grill for cooking for 1 to 4 people. Grill temperature is controlled within the middle of the variable control setting and does not blast heat like other flame broil grills. It's aluminum construction eliminates the rust residue taste imparted on the food. This grill reminds me of an Arkala grill I had owned many years ago. I am very pleased with the way this one cooks food.

quality control issues
In the process of assembling found several issues with items bent beyond being able to assemble them without some disassembling and straightening. Had to hammer one of the burner tubes mounting bracket to straighten. One of the burner legs was mashed and one of its weld broken. These two parts were likely missed in quality control. The main panel was dented, this may have happened in shipment the box did have two tears in it (didn't notice any damage when removing the parts from the box). Consumers reports rated it at 72.

Good grill and a great value
The grill shipped quickly and was very easy to assemble. As others have stated, check the parts when it arrives as things do break in shipping. For me, it was the handle to lift the lid (not broken enough to make in unusable, but broken nonetheless). Thankfully, customer service was very helpful and shipped a new handle out with no questions asked. It arrived shortly thereafter. We used the grill almost every night for the first week and it worked flawlessly. My only complaint is that the warming shelf slips out of the lid. We bought a couple caps to keep it from happening, but I shouldn't have had to purchase them. They either should be included or the way the shelf is secured to the lid should be changed. All in all, I would recommend this product to others looking for a no frills grill.

Good Grill at a Great Price
Heats up very fast and even across the entire cooking area. This isn't a top of the line grill but then I didn't pay anywhere near top of the line pricing. I purchased it because of positive reviews of quality for the price along with Consumer Report buy recommendation. I haven't been disjointed yet. The top shelf is much larger than most grills in it's class and gives plenty of room for foil cooked foods like potatoes and the like.

Assembly was challenging without directions and with damaged parts.
When UPS delivered the box with dents and holes in it I immediately inspected all contents. Many parts were slightly damaged and no instructions were found. After straightening the damaged parts and laying out all components, I pondered until the puzzle went together and I was able to use it the following evening. It works nicely! I don't think any parts were lost in transit. Although the factory packaging was not up to the delivery method, the design seems quite satisfactory. With the assembly ordeal behind me, I am completely satisfied with my new barbecue but would recommend more robust packaging or gentler delivery system.

Arrived damaged, poor customer service from manufacturer
When I unpacked the grill, one of the attachments on the bottom of the burner was not connected and just laying in the box, bent out of shape. Also, the side tables are very flimsy and one broke the first time I attemped to move the grill. They slide onto the frame with plastic straps on the bottom and there is no way to secure them unless you drill holes and add bolts. Two of the straps broke when I lifted one end of the grill move it. Customer service said they will replace the side table as a one time courtesy, but said the shipper was responsible for the damaged burner. I was able to get the grill working and it would be a 5 star grill if the company would address the side table problem and pay more attention to their packaging. The outside of the box was not damaged, so why are they blaming the shipper?

Great performance and value!
This is my second LP grill and it's amazing for a grill in his price range. I had no problems with assembly, though instruction are picture-only and need to be studied a little. It grills hot and even throughout the grilling surface. It has a simple look and does what it needs to quite well.

Great Grill but Flaws in Manufacturing are Obvious
I did a lot of research before purchasing the Broil mate 165154. I felt that for 200 bucks, it would hard to be beat. I have previously owned a very cheap charbroil that lasted 6 years and only cost about 89 bucks. I also recently purchased and returned a terrible char broil infrared grill for $269 that not only smoked like crazy but also took forever to cook food. It was a mess and I would not recommend char broil anymore after the experience. My Broil Mate arrived, and like other customers who have ordered this same grill online, the box was a little beat up, but most importantly there was a broken side table/prep table that I don't believe was due to shipping, but rather a problem that stems from a flaw in the design and manufacturing. The remaining pieces in the box were packed tight and looked great. The plastic side table/side prep has 2 plastic "hooks" underneath and both were cracked and hanging. I was ready to wait for a replacement, but decided to bolt the side table to the metal arms instead because there are actually pre-drilled holes in the metal arm that made it very easy to do. The instructions for assembly were not great and included only pictures and not explanation. It was a lot like assembling an Ikea product, but a little more convoluted. It took me 1.5 hours to assemble, which I did in a dark garage with no help and I had to make some modifications to the side table to bolt it in place. I really like the way the grill looked assembled, very simple/minimal in appearance. I fired it up and I must say it really heats up quickly and distributes heat very accurately. The stainless steel heating element is very high quality and the, steel drip tray, and cast iron grate really make cooking on this thing fun and very easy. I would say it cooked my food in 1/2 the time of the char broil infrared. I got very little flare up, and I would say that the well designed drip tray helped in that area quite a bit. Aside from the poor design of the plastic underneath of the table, I would recommend, with caution.

Excellent value. Incredibly even, well-controlled, and as hot as I ever need it to be, but no hotter, which means that the protective carbon build-up on the cast iron (!) grids never burns off. No hot spots, even after a year of frequent use. This grill puts all other the other grills I've used to shame. I originally purchased it because Consumer Reports gave it the highest rating. I can see why. There are two issues with this grill. One of them has to do with the shelf on the right side. It slides off. I put two sheet metal screws in it to hold it on. No problem since. Less than ten cents and five minutes to fix. The other downside of this grill is that it's not showy-looking. Indeed, it's exceptionally plain-looking. After a year of use, it looks just the same, with no improvement at all, and no deterioration either, despite outside storage. Good. The ignitor and the thermometer still work perfectly, too. I never had such a grill before. Another weird thing is that it's out of stock at Home Depot's website (June 2019) and it's available nowhere else. I put myself on the list to be informed when it becomes available, and I received such a notice last week! But it's still unavailable. No explanation is forthcoming. I put myself back on the list, and I though, well, why not write this review, too? So here it is. I sure would like to buy one of these for my son's family's new digs. There is no substitute for such even heating, or, in my opinion, for cast iron grids, either.

This grill isn't all that bad. One thing I've noticed that most gas grills have now a days are the "LARGE" upper cover. Those covers do not need to be that high..... Just a waste of gas heating an area that isn't being used to cook anything. It does need some "mods" done to it to make it a little better. There is an opening in the back between the lower body and the lid, this allows A LOT of the internal heat to escape. It used to take a good 10 to 15 minutes to come up to heat. With the "mods" about 5 minutes. A lot less gas used, plus a LOT more heat in the cooking area. With the "mods" I made it will sear steaks quickly now.... Takes less time to cook most foods. Overall??? Not a bad grill for the money...
