I had this freezer for about a year and a half and it recently stopped working. So I definitely would not recommend getting this product because it only lasted a year and a half and it’s definitely not worth it.

I bought this unit Spring of 2016 it was working fine until this last weekend when I discovered it had quit. Unit still had power going to it so I can only assume the compressor failed. There no way this should have failed in that short amount of time. Will not buy another one.

I bought this last December. Less than a year later it simply stopped running. I just threw out a freezer full of bad food.

Don't buy. This is not reparable. Ours died after 1.5 years from a bad thermostat. Curtis and Igloo do not sell parts.

The freezer stopped working 14 months after I purchased it. Unfortunately, it only comes with a 12 month warranty. It was used indoors in a well ventilated area. The lights on the front were both lit up, indicating it was working, but it does not get cold any more.

Bought this in 12-2016. It worked great up until 11-2017. I went into the basement and smelled a horrible smell. The two lights were still on the unit so I thought it was working. It wasn't working. Nearly a year after I bought it it was DEAD. $150 worth of food was spoiled and my house was smelling like rotted meat. I tried to go cheap and buy this unit because it was small and all I needed. Turns out it was way more expensive than I anticipated. $300 and most of my food was thrown out. Spend more money for the security of knowing your food is safe. I kept it in the cool basement so it never was too hot, never too cold. There's no reason this unit should have failed. But based on other comments, it's just a lousy piece of junk.

I ordered this in the last 6 months. It was working great for the first couple of months. Today I go into the basement and I smell this awful smell. The lights on the unit were still on. I lifted the top and there was $150 worth of rotting meat. This unit just died. I went cheap and ending up paying $300 for it anyway. And now it goes to the curb. It's past the warranty time with the store.

Purchased this freezer in March 2016, July 5, 2017 it completely stopped freezing, although lights and motor continued to run. Lost $250 worth of food. Igloo DOES NOT stand behind their products, and referred me to Curtis International who manufactures the freezer. That was a debacle. Was very pleased while the product worked, but an appliance should last longer than 16 months. I would recommend consumers to steer clear of this product. It ended up at the county dump, along with all its contents. Never again will I support Igloo or buy a product manufactured by Curtis International. I don't blame Home Depot, but they shouldn't sell a product with this track record.

Completely stopped cooling after about a year even though power and compressor lights are on. Igloo support and warranty are useless.

I bought ordered this freezer on Aug. 2, 2016 and as of Sept. 22, 2017 it no longer works. The compressor went out on it. So, it lasted less than 2 months after it's warranty of 1 year. All recommendations where followed. What really sucks is that I didn't know it stopped working because the two light indicators where still lit and power worked, just didn't cool at all. Found out on the weekend when I went to pull out my meals for planning the week, lost an entire freezer full of food. I wouldn't waste my money on this again.

Only had few months and stop working all my food was bad need new one. Need help

***** WARNING ****.......DO NOT BUY FROM THIS JUNK FROM IGLOO ........I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS SUBSTANDARD IGLOO FREEZER. .........AFTER ONE YEAR IT HAS STOPPED WORKING...........IGLOO REFUSES TO TAKE IT BACK OR REPLACE IT , OR EVEN REPAIR IT.

I bought this freezer in December 2016. It suddenly stopped working this weekend (mid-August 2017). It had been completely full, and I had to throw away all of the food inside. It's still under warranty, but I'd have to pay to ship it to the manufacturer for them to repair/replace. It would probably be cheaper to just buy a new one. I'm very disappointed, as it was the perfect size for my needs. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend this freezer to anyone.

Purchased this freezer at store on their kiosk on 12/19/16. Received it on 12/22/16. It ran fine up until yesterday, 8/15/17. (7 months old!) It just quit on me yesterday. This unit has been in my kitchen and has been well cared for. It should not have stopped working after only 7 months. Called HD and was told that it's only covered for 90 days at the store; after that, I must deal with the manufacturer about the warranty. Checked the warranty card, it's covered up to one year, but I must pay to return it to the manufacturer in Canton, MI. (I live in SE Ohio.) I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Unfortunately, from what I've read in other reviews, this is a common occurrence.

Went to pull food out of it today only to find that it completely stopped working. 3 months outside its warranty. Based on others recent reviews I am seeing a common theme here. Not only do I NOT recommend this freezer, I can assure you its replacement WILL NOT come from HD. Im disgusted.

About six months ago I would have said that this was a wonderful product. However, like many other customers, at one year and 2 months it completely stopped working. I lost so much meat and even more importantly a HUGE stash of breastmilk. So devastated and completely disappointed in both Home Depot and IGLOO since my product was 2 months out of warranty.

Had this product for a little over a year, it stopped working shortly after just past the warranty. Time to buy a new one not an Igloo, piece of junk.

I bought this freezer on 7-31-2017. It stopped working on 4-1-2017. I talked with an extremely pleasant young lady at the Home Depot service desk. She told me the same thing had happened to her mom. I called the the warranty telephone number and was given instructions to ''reset'' the compression, which did not work. I was on the phone for >1 hour and was hung up on 4 times! To return the freezer for a replacement, I am to pay to ship it to them, plus include a $7 money order for the cost of insurance and to return the product to me. I liked the freezer, while it worked. It is a good size for my needs. I cannot afford to fork out $153.35 every 8 months for another one. The cost of packaging and shipping it back is cost prohibitive. What a racket!!

This freezer was just what we needed. It's big enough to allow us to stock up on some frozen goods, but doesn't take up much room in our basement.

Easy to use, Not noisy.

Perfect size for a loft/apt. Runs smoothly and quietly.. Would definitely recommend.

Freezer is awesome & shipping was great.
