Hi 1400Mark0302010, thanks for your feedback. We realize how upsetting this must be. If you haven't already, you may want to troubleshoot to determine where the leak is coming from. First unplug the dispenser and then turn/depress the handle until cool water flows out of the spout. While someone holds the handle in the open position, use a dry paper towel to wipe the unit starting from the top and working your way down to find the source of the water. Hi Byronic, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to know that the heating element on your tank burns out. For your reference, if you're in a warm climate, no need to unplug/turn off or drain unit if gone less than 3 weeks. Unplug/turn off only if longer. If in a cold climate, but the household furnace is left on (above 35°F), then the same as above. Unplug/turn off and drain the unit if there is a chance of it being exposed to less than 32°F. If in a cold climate and the household furnace is off or turned down (below 32°F), drain the unit and unplug it. I hope these would help when you go on vacation again.

Hi LANE, thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear that there is a leak at the bottom of the tank. Sometimes, the leak may appear from the bottom, but it might be coming from a higher place. If you haven't already, please make sure the power is off to your tank and take a dry paper towel and wipe along the top of the tank, working your way down the sides to determine where the water is coming from.
