Very good quality wood and easy to put together. The only issue I had was the backings were damaged but Home Depot helped by giving me paneling and cut it to size to replace the damaged backings

Nice book case, but came with a few flaws that are readily apparent. Directions were awful and pieces were not labeled. Regardless, I was able to put it together and it looks good where we placed it.

Got tired of cheap particle board shelves, so we sprung for these. Well worth the money. Very sturdy and attractive. We stack hardcovers on the shelves and there is no sign of bowing. Assembly was fairly easy; expect to use a drill to create pilot holes for the screws to attach the back panel.

This is our second time buying one of these bookcases. We were worried that they wouldn't match since it has been two years. They are a perfect match.

Good quality. Easy to assemble. The allen wrench was cumbersome although, so I used a screwdriver with proper head, which made it much easier

Was happy with it at first, but after about two weeks the front part of the bottom shelf, where it overhangs and joins with the main part of the frame, splintered off from the rest of the shelf. I think maybe one of our cats tried to walk on it ... but don't think a ten pound cat should have been too much weight for it to handle.

I’m in my 70’s. I put this together alone. The difficult part was standing it up & moving it to the next room. Very solid & heavier than most bookcases. Some shelves are not adjustable which is the only negative I can give, but I can work around this. Happy with this purchase.

Solid wood exceeded my expectations, and everything fit snugly. I own 7 different types of bookcases and this is the 1st type where everything fit exactly like it should. The braces on the back means that the back won't "blow out" when I fill it with my books.

Great bookcase, solid and perfect size!

This bookcase was not 38 inches wide. The shelves are only 36.75 wide. Only 2 shelves are adjustable and that is only 1inch up and1 inch down. There are gaps between the joints where the top meets the sides. I'm very disapointed.

This is an excellent piece of furniture, perhaps the best built flat pack furniture I've encountered.

This bookshelf is a good quality piece of furniture crafted from good materials, finished nicely and packaged well so that it arrived undamaged and ready to assemble. Assembly was relatively easy to do by myself, but would've been easier with help it is somewhat heavy. We purchased this shelf to replace one of those cheap particle board units and are very happy with our choice. We can definitley reccomend it as a good purchase for a shelf that looks good in any room as a piece of actual furniture, not just a place to stack books and such.
