I purchased a John Deere E160 Riding Lawn Tractor from the Home Depot in Lake Jackson TX. I had the lawn tractor delivered to my home and the tractor was in terrible condition, mind you it is supposed to be a brand new tractor. My first sign of alert was that the delivery guy called me before the delivery and asked if it was okay if they could deliver the tractor with a flat tire, he even txt me a pic of the flat tire, of course i said no! They aired up the tire and delivered it to my house, at first glance it seemed nothing wrong with the tractor but upon further inspection it was apparent that the tractor was in terrible condition, the seat was filthy with grime dust and a tear, the deck had a layer of dirt on it and not to mention the deck had scratches/scruff marks on one side and the hood also had scruff black marks on it (seems like they grazed a wall or something) then i open up the hood only to find the engine compartment completely covered in cob webs and the engine itself had bolts that were severely rusted (not just surface rust) . I was and am furious how anyone would think that this an acceptable condition for a brand new over, 2 thousand dollar tractor, thats not even the worst part i add fuel to the tractor and go to start it and turns out the tractor wouldn't even start ( engine wouldn't even turn over seems like the starter is the culprit) . i read the owners manual to make sure i was turning it on properly, i even watched a youtube video on it to double check and no start ( the starter seems like it wants to start but it sort of growls for like a second ) and then Home Depot has the audacity to Advertise on their website that have a white glove delivery, that the tractor would be professionally be inspected and upon delivery they would demonstrate how it operates and answer question (goes with out saying that did not happen they just said where do you want it, dropped it off and left)
