De-Silvered in 3 years!
Bought in 2019, by 2022 edges started to de-silver leaving unsightly edges. Here’s a picture in 2024. Room is well ventilated and dry California conditions. Other mirrors in the same bathroom holding up strong. Don’t waste your money: it may be well priced, but replacing every couple of years mounts up. Warranty covers is limited to one year. Buyer beware!

Hi Frothey, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to see your cabinet has started turning dark along the edges. Dark spots or streaks around the edges of a mirror are a sign of desilvering. Desilvering occurs when the silver backing on a mirror lifts and starts becoming worn. Moisture is the main cause of mirror desilvering. To help prevent it, we suggest wiping down any steam and water droplets from the mirror immediately. Do not spray the cleaner directly onto the mirror. We recommend spraying a towel with the cleaner, and then wiping down the mirror. We have seen vinegar-based cleaners and cleaners containing ammonia can accelerate the desilvering process. Please avoid using these cleaners on your mirror. Fixing a desilvered mirror is a tedious process. We recommend contacting a glass professional in your area to resilver your mirror. I own the 20x26 of this cabinet which I love even though over time the edges of the exterior mirror rusted. I replaced it with the same hope to get more years out of the new one. I bought the 25x26 version for another bathroom thinking it would be the same - it mostly is, however, it does not have the interior fold out magnification mirror, which is a bummer as I loved that feature and literature said all of this style can add it as an option. Most unfortunate is that exterior of each door shows like 1/2 inch of grey plastic and hinges when closed - which looks cheap - where in the photos, and on the smaller size I own, the door closes flush and you don’t sees all that. Disappointed, but handyman had already installed it when I got home so I guess will have to live with it.

Terrible designed cheap quality.
The cabinet is poorly made. The glass shelves have fallen down several times. The shelves are held up by plastic pegs. Definitely not worth it at all. Waste of money. Do not by it’s complete trash.

Nice cabinet for the price, beware of surface mount!
The problem is with the surface mounting hardware, the side flanges on the cabinet will not allow the cabinet to sit with the bracket in the groove, even with a perfectly flat wall. It’s easy enough to take the doors off while you install which makes the cabinet a lot easier to handle and then drill through the frame above (or below) the rear mirror. I sat the cabinet on the bracket since it was already installed, but screwed the cabinet directly to the wall through the frame. I am glad I read the review from the purchaser whose cabinet fell from the wall. I like how it looks now and am pretty certain it will not fall.
The glass shelves are awesome and so are the interior mirrors. With so many mirrors, if only I was better looking.

Good, but.....issue...
We bought 2 of these cabinets when we remodeled two bathrooms. Our master bathroom cabinet is still going strong (5 stars). We love it. Easy to install and looks good. The second one was installed in our guest bathroom and the outer mirror broke when the double sided tape failed. Luckily it didn't chip or crack the quartz counter top! Double-sided tape is all that holds the mirror on to the frame. I am waiting for a response from Kohler, and yes, it has been over a year since it was installed, but the other one in the master bath is still looking good. I would love to recommend it but I'm batting .500 at this point. I would love the opportunity to update this review after hearing from Kohler Customer Service.

plastic all over -- cheap, cheap door - ugly cabinet - so disappointed
I am incredibly disappointed. The specifications say it is made of metal. It arrived and has many plastic pieces which are visible when the cabinet is closed. They are gray and ugly. I would have been better off with a white plastic cabinet. I wanted quality.

Glass fell off by itself
I never write a review but this is a safety issue. I bough this at Lowe’s and it was not cheap. In the middle of the night I heard a big crashing noise from the kids bathroom and went running to find a mess of glass. The glass was sticking to a very thing plastic edge with a double sided tape and nothing more. It just wasn’t enough and it detached completely falling in pieces on top of the vanity. I was in shock! I just was so grateful that it happened in the middle of the night and not with any of my kids in there. I’m so mad and disappointed because I really liked the cabinet and now I don’t know what to do because I’m not buying that one again and risk the safety of anyone in my house.

One is great, two are better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mirrored medicine cabinet. It's design is clean and simple, and looks elegant. The cabinet is large enough to fit all my toiletries, make-up, toothpaste, body lotion, bandaids, etc. and the mirrored interior, allows me to see the sides and back of my hair without needing to use a hand mirror. This is actually the second of these cabinets that I've bought. I remodeled my bathroom and installed a longer vanity, so I purchased a second cabinet in order to extend the mirrors over the entire vanity. I use that cabinet to store my surplus supply of lotion, nail polish remover, make up, hair color, shampoo, etc.

The cabinet itself is very nice and has a lot of space. The only issue I have is that the plastic door frame is not the highest quality. I have had this for 4 years and the door fell off when I went to open it the other day. I had to catch it before it hit the floor. I attached picture to show what happened. I would like to see if I can get a new door.

Given, that this cabinet is well made and we love the multi mirrors. We have had it recessed mounted since bathroom is small. However there is a glaring problem that I think should have been addressed at this price point. When doors are closed and you look at cabinet from the side there is about a one inch gap from mirror to wall. Within this gap is a utilitarian shaped piece of gray plastic. It really is pretty ugly. In our bathroom it's the first thing you see when you walk in the door.
It's in there now so won't be changed but I'm seriously considering finding a way to visually block that plastic.
Wish I'd seen "customer from Troy, MT" review before we bought.

Great looking cabinet for price! Carpenter said it was easy to install. Shelves were tricky to install but customer service was able to assist. Very roomy cabinet for a small bathroom. Mirrored doors make bathroom seem bigger. Mirror and metal has some minor scratches on it, but I decided to keep it anyway. First two cabinets ordered were damaged, and could not wait any longer.

This is uncommon during normal use and is usually indicative of the mirror coming in contact with a cleaner that has ammonia or vinegar in it. Was very happy with how this looks, shape and size. But I had to make another shelf. If it came with one more would have been perfect. Also not happy with how it was mounted. I ended up modifying cabinet to securely mount it. I didn't end up using side mirrors that were held on using double sided tape. Not sure how long that would last in bathroom setting. Now that it's in I love the look and it works exactly how I expected

Beautiful!
This cabinet looks beautiful in our new bathroom. It's all mirrors. The doors are mirrored inside and out. The back of the cabinet is also mirrored. Having no trim around the outside mirrors made it so easy to select. I didn't have to match any trim with the bathroom fixtures or accessories.

I am so happy that I bought these cabinets!
I am happy I had these cabinets installed by a carpenter - we had double studs in the wall behind my husband's cabinet that required a lot of cutting, but I already don't know what I did without these cabinets. I can finally find my products when I am getting ready to go out. They are made well and look good on the outside, but it's the inside of the cabinet that I enjoy the most. The interiors are all mirrored and reflect the light so well! I bought two of the 25"x26" size, and we will enjoy these for a long time.
