My old CO detectors expired. They lasted 7 years as manufacturer said they would. Wanted to get one with digital readout, so there will be no guessing work. This Kidde fits right into my old Kidde mount. Installation took less than a minute. Really like the digital readout. Worth the extra money.

Since I was replacing a Kidde hardwired carbon monoxide alarm I just figured the digital display would take any guesswork out of the quality of the air I breath every night. Installation took about 2 minutes. I think it took longer to get it out of the box. Even when installing the original 5 years ago it was really not that hard to tie it in with my hardwired smoke alarms. Great piece of mind.

Have had no alarms (and hope that continues). Interconnects with my Kidde smoke detectors for whole-house alarming. Display gives more information than just the alarm. As a fireman and engineer I wanted that information. Installation was easy once I strung the wires into the walls. It is fairly pricey, but that buys the advanced features.

Replaces the exact same version of this product that was already in our home, we didn't even have to modify the existing wiring or attachment base. We also like the digital display for easy reading.

This is a direct plug in swap for the Kidde Smoke detectors that are 120v and connected together. Now if the Carbon monoxide detector goes off in the upstairs hall all the bedrooms will go off too.

These replaced the Kiddie alarms that i had installed during a home renovation 7 years ago, and it was nice that they twisted own using the same brackets. They are a little expensive for an alarm that needs to be replaced every 7 years. Never had any false alarms with the old Kiddie alarms so i dont expect any with these new ones.
