We just bought another one for our new house never had any problems in 17 years so I will take another 17 any day. Kitchen aid is the best u can get in my opinion we have all kitchen aid and won’t get anything else you cannot go wrong with this frig u pay alot but nothing like subzero or viking my mom has subzero and it doesn’t compare

I have had this for almost two years, and nothing but problems. The freezer always freezes over, have to scrape off all the ice build up. The refridgerator portion doesnt stay cold, it constantly runs and never turns off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was installed almost 3wks ago. It replaced a 19yo kitchenaid which serviced us well. We’re so happy with the new as it fits into the same space as the old one, however has about a 15-20% more internal capacity, which is fantastic especially under these difficult times where we need to store more refrigerated items!!

It's a nice enough fridge regarding features and build quality, however, installation is a complete nightmare. This fridge is not counter depth and does not "seamlessly integrate into your cabninets like it claims. It will stick out and will not look seamless at all. If you want to hide your fridge or blend smoothly into your cabinets stay far, FAR away. We're a new build, so had a fresh start and blank slate.Our installer spent hours on the phone with Kitchen Aid and even had the manuals. We did everything we could to prepare and were told many times that this would work and it simply does not. Nothing is flush, nothing lines up, and the fridge is ultimately desinged to stick out. This is not the fault of installer, this fridge is simply not designed to achieve the look it claims to give you. Unlike other integrated units that are properly designed, this will not give you the look you want. Given how expensive this fridge is, and how unhelpful support has been, we have to stick with it and are now completely redesiging a section of our fully installed kitchen. It's a nightmare. Please do yourself a favor and keep shopping if you're looking for a seamless, integrated, panel fridge experience -- this is not the fridge you're looking for.

Sales company spoke to Kitchen Aid and I opted to get a new door rather than a different brand because I liked the style and inside of the fridge better than other brands. I received the new freezer door and I am quite happy so far.

We ordered it as a panel-ready refrigerator and it looks AMAZING in our kitchen with matching panels to go with our kitchen cabinets. The interior of the refrigerator is roomy enough for two people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit fits into space where previous unit was, Design sleek and glossy black finish is very attractive and does not show fingerprints. Layout OK but would prefer if vegetable drawer could be opened without having to open both refrigerator doors. Otherwise lots of useful space in very useful layout in both the refrigerator and freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older Sub-Zero fridge, and this unit fit in my cabinet hole perfectly. For the price, this is a great built in fridge. It holds a temperature, and the limited inside space is organized reasonably. However, for the price I would wish that it would include other small features like a door alarm.

I do like the shelving and lighting compared to our side by side that we replaced with the french door style. Getting used to the ice being on the bottom. I do think that the price is very high as it offers the same features as a non built in style.

Hard to see bottom shelf of freezer. Higher held lit; there is no light at the bottom level. Less capacity than previous built-on. Bought extra door shelves to increase capacity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been waiting to replace my old bottom mount single door K/A built-in for several years as I was waiting for the 36" wide french door model to arrive. So far it has been a good product, runs very quiet with no issues. Here are a few things I would recommend for changes or improvements: 1) The left side door when allowed to close on its own slams way too hard. I realize it needs a little boost to actuate the sealing plate between the doors, but this is a lot. The items in the door shelves bounce around and sound like they are going to break sometimes due the door closing speed. Some type of slow close dampener would be nice. 2) The freezer door takes what I think is an excessive amount of opening force to overcome the seals, once it has unsealed itself the door opens the rest of the way very easily. I could see where this would be a bigger issue with the elderly or handicapped. There should be an optional foot pedal operated lever that can give some initial assist when opening the freezer. 3) There is no way to shut off the icemaker, the operating manual says to lift a lever which does not exist in this model. 4) The control panel display only shows the SET values of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. My old unit showed the ACTUALl temperatures as well as the setpoints. I had to purchase a pair of thermometers for the two compartments to have the peace of mind of knowing that they are always at the proper temperature. 5) This is just a personal preference, but I would prefer a white interior instead of the gray. 6) There is no butter tray.

Replaced my 20 year old Kichenaid refrigerator with a Thermador. Hate the Thermador and miss my Kitchenaid.

It was the same dimensions as the old Subzero and substantially less expensive than a new Subzero. We are very happy with the look and functionality of the new KitchenAid.

We bought this KitchenAid refrigerator to replace our 30 year old SubZero. I could not be happier with this purchase. I have read some of the reviews that have one or two stars and I just had to stand up for this great machine. This fridge is beautiful inside, and although I had to get used to the new design, I find this unit just as ample as my old one. The temp is steady and exactly spot on. The freezer keeps my frozen items perfect. I just love the black stainless color and with four grandchildren you cannot beg it to show a fingerprint, and after the 30 year old SubZero the silence is golden. If you are looking for a built in, you should try this one a try.
