I bought this headlamp back in March. The headlamp itself is very nice not heavy and very stable. The first month or two the headlamp would last a whole week on a full charge but now it won’t make it past a day. A problem I’m having is that the battery is halfway full and the light turns off instantly. The headlamp is a good choice if you’re willing to charge it every night because that’s the only way I can get it to work properly.

I use this light daily. It is great for my purposes. I love the rechargeable aspect. The only thing i dont like is the swivel. After almost a year it is loose, won't stay in place because the plastic "stops" have worn down a bit. They were pretty secure initially but not anymore. I can find replacement head straps but not the bracket that allows it to swivel up and down

Another nicely executed light by Klein. Everything is controlled by a single button on top. The are no light levels, but you can get a similar effect by switching between spot, wide, and both. This is the first light I have seen that has a sensor to turn itself off in daylight. That might be very useful to a tradesman, you need a light in a tight dark space, and then forget to turn it off. Has a secure headstrap, the standard tilting feature, and can also be mounted directly to a Klein helmet. Recharges by standard micro-usb, not some stupid custom connector.

Amazing output and excellent beam throw. I’m very impressed with this Klein headlamp. I compared it to my Streamlight LED headlamp (HD # 202101294) which has been my go-to light for the last several years. The Klein lamp has much more output (see output readings photo, below). The Klein has 2 sets of LEDs and you can control turning on 1 or the other, or both. The Klein beam also projects nicely. It’s not going to light up a whole room but for close work it’s great. Comparing the two lights, the Streamlight adds another strap across the top of your head (see photo) which keeps it in place better. Also the Streamlight adds a foam back to the light so it’s more comfortable on your forehead. The Klein is geared towards wearing over your baseball cap or clipping it to their hard hat. I also liked that you can easily charge the Klein with included USB cable (or you can use a phone charger). Better than alkaline batteries. It seems fairly priced at $40. That’s $12 more than the Streamlight but seems like a fair trade for the increased output.

Klein Tools is know within the industry for providing quality tools for electrical work. This rechargeable headlamp is not exception to that standard. This rechargeable headlamp's 3-modes provide 400, 200, and 100 Lumens for 4,12, and 22-hours of runtime. In using this headlamp, I've found the 200 Lumen light the better brightness to work with. The 100 was really not bright enough, and provided too many shadows, whereas the 400 was too concentrated and bright...Blindingly so. The fit across your head felt nice. It didn't dig into your forehead, nor was it heavy feeling. Overall, this is a really nice headlamp to have in your toolbox for use around the house. Satisfied, and Highly Recommended.

The Klein Tools 400 lumens all-day runtime rechargeable Headlamp solves the main problem I had with batteries...i.e. buying new batteries. This new headlamp recharges from any convenient USB power port and promises to last 12 hours use-time. The light output is very good for eight to 12 feet out but diffused rapidly at greater distances. The lamp module has 3 LED light emitters which cycle through operation by pressing a button/switch on top of the headlamp. 1 press of the button turns on the centered LED for a narrow beam light that produces 200 lumens. The light from the center LED is not sharp and defined like a spot light. The second button press turns the center spot LED off and two LEDs mounted left and right of the center LED come on. The light is like a flood light and is 100 lumens in brightness. Pressing the button a third time turns all 3 LEDs on in “boost” mode and is quite bright at 400 lumens. I used this headlamp while rearranging some walk boards in my dark attic and could see everything very clearly with the light it produced. The 2-LED side-lamps will operate at 100 lumens for 22hrs. The center LED spot lamp will remain on at 200 lumens for 12 hours. All of the LEDs on (in “boost” mode) produces 400 lumens and will last for 4 hours. The headlamp is easy to adjust for fit and the band doesn’t slip around on my head. I like having the rechargeable battery, LED charge status indicator, and light controls combined in a single module that is easy to access and operate. Be sure that you keep the USB charging cable with you when using the headlamp for easy recharging on or off the head strap.

Being a Klein tool I had no doubts about the quality and I was not surprised to see the quality from word one. This head lamp is very bright and you can set the level of light you need to do your jobs. The other thing I really like is that it is rechargeable and this helps to stop needed batteries to replace. This can be mounted directly to Klein hard hat for use without band. The band included is adjustable and holds light secure to head. I might even use for bike riding as use as head light to be seen from distance.

The Klein Tools 400 Lumens All-Day Runtime Rechargable Headlamp and Strap arrived quickly inside a well packed carton. It was all inclusive in a blister pak. I selected it because of the name Klein. I have Klein hand tools I use frequently for the past 45 yrs. I like the three settings. Low, bright and very bright. The specific feature is the auto shut off in day light. I use it for every situation where illumination is needed. The quality is out standing. Easy to use. It's working out very well and as expected. I like this head lamp tremendously.

The Klein Tools 400 Lumens All-Day Runtime Rechargeable Headlamp with Fabric Strap is a quality product. It fits really comfortably on my head and also fits my hardhat. I have already used it to make a repair under our home. It provided plenty of bright light and I was able to pivot the light up or down. I really like that it comes with a rechargeable battery, a battery level indicator and a USB cable to recharge it. This headlamp will also come in handy when I work under truck hood. I'm really pleased with this quality product and it definitely met my expectations.

I have never had a Klein Tool that I wasn’t impressed with. This rechargeable headlamp is no exception. It is built with the same quality as I have grown to expect from Klein. The lamp has three different brightness selections: 200, 300 or 400 lumens. It is extremely bright in the higher settings. The battery will run from 4 hours to 22 hours on a full charge. One of the biggest pluses is that it is rechargeable, saving a lot on batteries. The light has a battery level indicator built on it. One interesting feature is that it will turn itself off if it detects bright light for over three minutes, which could prevent discharging the battery unnecessarily. A USB charging cable is included, but not a 120 V adapter. It has a fabric headband that is very comfortable. I would definitely order this headlamp again!

I have a bunch of these headlights but I have to say that I think they did a nice job on this one. It has multiple levels of brightness (1 light or 2 lights or all 3). It turns off automatically when you go outside for any length of time, which saves the battery. It is rechargeable which is the best. It has a battery level indicator that you can see in the video. All in all this is a great tool to have in the tool box and very user friendly.

So I won't deny this headlamp is definitely worth it and the brightness is insanely good, best bang for the buck but I wish it was rechargeable with a USB C cable rather than a micro USB. I don't understand why they still use the micro USB port when the Klein Tools headlamp that comes without the strap is USB C. Also another minor con I was not aware of is this model doesn't come with a magnetic back to stick to metal surfaces like the other headlamp does.

It fits well to the front of my hardhat. It is very easy to turn on and use. It doesn't add too much weight to helmet.

I’ve bought too many rechargeable Klein headlamps to mention. They all have issues with shutting off - although the battery is completely full and charged. Don’t waste your money, look elsewhere.

I've bought 3 now and every single one has died the same death. They work fine for a random amount of months. Then they just stop working. You press the button and it flashes light and then turns off immediately. I love being able to attach it to my klein brand hardhat but these are terrible.

Battery life sucks after a few times charging it. Really good design and features but battery sucks after a few days.

Light worked great for about a month. Now all it does is automatically turn off when in a dark room. I turn the light on and it will turn off about .5 second later. Buy the other Klein headlamp that DOES NOT have the auto-off feature.

This is an excellent hard lamp. Haven’t had it very long but used it a few times on job sites and battery life was excellent. Also like that it snaps on and off Klein hard hat easily.
