As always Klein makes good tools. Bought these to replace some older Klein cutters. Do these make cutting easier? Not really. But the "snap" when cutting #12 or bigger wire is gone.

I’ve had these a few years now, almost 3, but haven’t used them much. Now that my other 8” pair of “red brand” got loose and sloppy I’m using these more. They cut well and have a strong design like most Kleins but to me they just feel clumsy. I like to work so that I’m not paying much attention to the tool, but these make you adjust and have like two motions in your hand to make one cut. So for that reason Four Stars ****

If your looking for a set of heavy duty diganal cutters then, this is it. Same as 9” journeyman pliers just cut in to a set of diganal cutters, can handle years of cutting metal. Only disadvantage is if you like the curve on the 8” for pulling staples the 9” set dose not have that.

I Have been given a great opportunity from Klein tools. I am a member of Klein Crusaders and I have been given a pair of 9” journeyman heavy-duty diagonal-cutting pliers for free. With additional incentives for a honest review of this product. I have had these for a month now. At first receiving the pliers the seemed to be well built. They needed to be broke in just like most tools. Right from the start I noticed a gap in the cutting edge. That gap makes it difficult to cut small stranded wire half the time leaving a strand to two uncut. If you need to cut nails or screw it will do it. Anything smaller and there is to much effort. #kleintools #kleincrusaders

Overall great pair of cutters. Work very well when doing demo and need to cut out wires and pull out staples. Grip is comfortable. Only small downside is that they are a little bulky at the head besides that a greay tool. #kleincrusaders

Got these cutters last week and they pretty much cut anything you throw at it. Whether its solid copper wire, romex,mc, even old steel bx it cuts with ease.

These are large in size a close sencond to the journyman side cutting pliers , these are more for the heavy duty use would not recomend for small electronics type work although they will also work foe that but are perfect for rough electrical work. another soild addition to the klein catalog

Absolutely wonderful. I love this product a great heavy duty side cutters that I use all the time. The only down fall I have is they are a bit heavy but that's expected with heavy duty aspect of it.

I have three generations of Klein diagonal cutters and truthfully the oldest, most simple cutters did the job just as well if not better than my two journeymen level cutters.I think the grips are comfortable but they are more bulky and more difficult to clamp shut.

I received the new 9 inch Heavy Duty Journeymen side cutters as a member of the Klein Tradesmen Club, in return for a honest review of the product. So far after 4 days of use and letting fellow workers and others on the job site check them out cutting wire, screws, nails etc. Everyone is impressed with the size and leverage compared to original 8 inch Journeymen side cutters. I'm a electrician and do various jobs from residential, new construction wiring, re-wire and service upgrades, and farm wiring from there new grain bins to fixing and upgrading wiring. I can see that they will be a go to tool when doing large jobs with multiple large wire gauges. #kleincrusaders #klein_tools

Klein Tools has provided me with the J2000-59 and additional incentives to provide an honest review of this product. My honest review is that they are very heavy compared to traditional diagonal cutters, which to me isn’t a good thing because it’s more weight in my tool pouch.. but that aids in being more durable. The cutting knives are large which is great, and they seem to cut as good as regular diagonal cutters. As always love the journeyman grips. #kleincrusaders #kleintools

What a great heavy duty product. The 2000 series Grips are comfortable so when you're squeezing to cut that nail it doesn't pop through and slam shut driving metal into your hands like other diagonal cutters. 9 inches gives you alot of leverage. Is everything you want to cut with your side cutters but can't reach because of the pliers on top. The head is large with lots of cutting surface area.

Beefy cutters. Still made in the USA! These cutters have a good feel right out of the package. The pivot immediately provides a smooth action. I’ve been using these cutters for cutting 16, 14 and 16 gauge baling wire. Long handles and sharp blades make cuts a snap. Those long handles and the overall build make these cutters a little heavy, but the cutting ability is worth the extra weight. And it’s always great to have a well-built American-made tools in my kit.

I used at first to just randomly cut steel items as in pictures, loved it BUT you need a very wide spread hand to get these open enough to get near the pivot point or hinge for leverage. Depending on what is to be cut, closer to the pivot point the better these pliers CUT like it was BUTTER. Cutters are very heavy and rubber dipped well for comfort although they say not suitable with electric wiring due to not having proper insulation on handles, ?? I wouldn’t have a problem with these. Be safe and due as they are called for. Engraving on cutters show a person on a telephone pole, but don’t use on a telephone pole, maybe was an old company logo at one time. Love these, if you drop these you’ll hear it, very well made, sharp, long handles for leverage and comfortable to squeeze. 5 STARS Except for price and lack of electrical application use.

Klein Tools Heavy Duty Diagonal 20000 Series Cutters. I am currently disassembling a picket fence that has served it's full life and the nails needed to be removed. We tried hammering them out and that was fruitless. So we used these very heavy duty diagonal cutters instead and just snipped them off. Worked great. Made quick work of it. My son used them also and he said it was true they did not telegraph the “snap” like the lesser tool he was using, so we had consensus for that very desirable trait, too. The handles are long enough to provide superb leverage in the cut. Excellent tool, made in the USA. I really think Klein tools are the very best, and this tool should last a lifetime. I very much enjoy using their tools.

These are definitely made for the professional contractor. The pliers are large, good weight and balance. They are very functional and can easily cut thick wire, small nails, screws, etc. I recently used some #10 sheet metal screws but didn't like the pointy end to extrude so I used these to snip the end off the screw off. Alternatively I could've of filed them down, but these made the job quick and effortless. I attached a pic of the pliers compared to a 1ft X 1ft tile. I would definitely recommend this product to the serious professional/contractor.

Every home needs at least one pair of these, for any cutting problems; they are not too heavy, and the comfort handles make it an easy job to do even with arthritis or just weak hands; they are well designed and very effective pliers, a perfect addition to my tools for home improvement. It will cut wire, small chain, nails and other material that no other tool would want to try cutting!

These are my go-to cutters for all electrical wiring applications out in the field (I only have to cut up to #8 solid, everything else is a higher gauge). Cuts #10AWG wire with incredible ease. Can also cut the braids and #8 solid as needed. The handles are very comfortable and the large diagonal cutting surface allows for easy cuts to larger gauge wire. The hardened steel frame has durability that you can always expect from any Klein tool. Klein tools are the highest quality electrical tools you can buy; you will not be disappointed.

I wish you would carry more of their products. Excellent tools without a rival in the industry

Great cutters. Good value. No gap in the jaws.

My old 8 inchers were bent so I turned them in for warranty but my local HD didn't have any in stock so they gave me these 9 inchers. These at first glance seem like they'd be great but unfortunately they are not. These are having a hard time cutting simple 12/2 Aluminum mc. I need to get the 8 inchers back asap.
