I don’t know what Krud is anymore…
What is Krud? I don’t even know anymore after using Krud Kutter…. Home Depot asked me to share my thoughts on this and share I will. When I was presented with a Kruddy situation I thought to myself “how am I going to kut through all this Krud? If only there was a product specifically designed to kut Krud…” enter Krud Kutter. The Krud in my life is now gone… if you have Krud in your life, then you should totally buy this product.. even if you don’t have Krud, you should still buy some and maybe use it to spray on a kruddy person in your life. K-kut fanboy for life now.

Oh no, not what we like to hear! Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Caulk Remover is a specially formulated remover that aids in the removal of caulks and sealants from a variety of surfaces. For best results start by removing any loose caulk, then score (cut) the edge of the remaining caulk. Thoroughly saturate the caulk and allow it to soak for 5 to 20 minutes, or until the caulk softens. Scarp away the loosened caulk with a scraper, stiff bristled brush or flexible blade. Repeat as necessary to remove residue.

Watched videos online of caulk softeners and expected this $10 bottle to do similar but it is questionable if it has any affect at all on the silicone on my shower stall. Low performance would recommend trying something else

That is not what we like to hear, Kevin! Keep in mind that prior to applying our Krud Kutter Caulk Remover, the majority of the caulk should be removed using a scraper, then the remover can be applied to loosen the remaining caulk residue. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

That is not what we like to hear, Murat! Our Krud Kutter Caulk Remover is designed to assist with the removal of caulk residue from a variety of surfaces. Prior to applying the caulk remover, the existing caulk should be scraped to remove the majority of the caulk. After scraping, score the remaining caulk with a razor to help the caulk remover penetrate and loosen the caulk, then allow the remover to soak for several minutes before scraping to remover the remaining residue. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

save your $
Krud Cutter Caulk Remover did absolutely NOTHING. It didn't soften the caulk, did absolutely zero --- what a waste of $. I had most of the caulk out with a few tough corners to soften. Not only did the gel NOT go where I wanted, but after the gel sat on the caulk for 25 minutes, it didn't make a difference.

We want to try to help! To allow for the best results, the caulk needs to be scored prior to applying Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Caulk Remover. This will ensure the product penetrates the caulk and allow it to help soften it best.

It doesn't work on silicone sealant. It did nothing but made more of a mess. It doesn't work.
Purchase based on guarantee it will remove silicone sealant.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Caulk Remover is intended for use on caulk only. We do not recommend it for use on sealants.

Works pretty well. It’s been 20 years probably since I used a similar product so hard to compare. The squeeze nozzle is a little slow to return to pump again due to high viscosity.

    Quick & Easy
Krud Kutter Caulk Remover loosened old silicone caulk from a cultured marble sink quickly and with no damage to the finish/topcoat. Wish we had started with this product, before we spent hours trying everything else.

That is not what we like to hear, Mari! Be sure to scrape the caulk first to remove as much as possible, then score the remaining caulk with a razor before applying our Krud Kutter Caulk Remover. Scoring the caulk allows the remover to better penetrate the caulk, loosening it more efficiently. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

I bought this to help remove caulking around around an original tub/shower in my 100 year old house. I was getting almost nowhere with tools alone. This product definitely helped move my project forward. I still had to use quite a bit of elbow grease and a fair amount of time but it was much better after adding this Krud Cutter caulking remover to the mix. I’ll bet it works super well on newer caulking.
