Less than 4 years old and the compressor blew... Called LG for an authorized repair since it's under warranty and was told that the part is covered but labor would not be. Labor for a new compressor can range from $400-900... LG offers you a "one fee" warranty program to fix it for $459+tax... Essentially you're screwed out of $500+ either way you look at it... Went online to get advice only to have almost 50 comments within 20 minutes of people with my exact story... SCAMMERS.

I love my LG Fridge!! So much room and easy to change the layout! Love water/crushed & cubed ice in door too!

Although I'm belated in giving my reviews on this large LG', 27.9 French Door, with bottom Freezer Refrigerator, it was on purpose!! I needed time to truly experience the accuracy of this product. The Seal of LG! Just past four (4years) years, I woke up to find my frig & freezer stopped working - it neither kept food frozen nor cold in the fridge. I panicked, called my Home Warranty only to find out this was something LG' has to repair or replace. (they diagnosed the problem with the compressor.) I just wished my Home Warranty ppl. didn't wait to contact LG'... However, after almost a week later, I reached out myself to LG' customer service who after gathering all my information, asked when I wanted someone to come out, I replied, ' like yesterday'.. They made contact locally with an LG' Tech! The rest is history.. in a very satisfying way

Purchased in 2018. 2021 it broke down. Now 2022 it broke down again. Very pretty fridge but very poorly made. Wouldn’t advise to by this brand for major appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the LG LFXS28968S almost 2 years ago at a scratch/dent store, and I LOVE the space inside more than any other feature. A minor inconvenience is that the icemaker is very low capacity. I simply empty the icemaker bin into the drawer bin during higher demand, and we always have enough. We recently experienced our first "problem" as the icemaker tray was not automatically dumping the ice. It was a simple fix - just unplugged it while cleaning behind, then plugged it back in and it works perfectly. Did I mention I really love this machine? Maybe I should have given it 4 stars due to the ice capacity, however if it were larger it would take more refrigerator space.

The wide shelves provide easy access to all foods (no more hidden science experiments). It has more space than I need.It is very quiet . The ice system works perfectly. So happy we decided on this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator a month ago and other than the refrigerator sticking out of our hole by 14” it’s a great refrigerator. The only downside is the touchy ice maker. I dumped the ice into a bin in the freezer and twice I didn’t get it back into place correctly. My husband had to play with it to get it in right. Otherwise I love it. Love having the freezer on the bottom. This is a first for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model has the lower freezer drawer. Our last refrigerator was a side by side. The refrigerator section seems to have more room and the freezer has plenty of room to spare. Love the filtered water and crushed ice in the door.

I have recommended it to many friends and even bought one for my daughter when she bought her new home. It's the highest quality and looks beautiful too.

Second, I love the indoor ice-maker ( so much more room in fridge) Third, I have so much space in my bottom freezer!!! The Kenmore French door prior had no room for my frozen food. And, NO FINGERPRINTS!!!!

We purchased this fridge last year. Last night we lost power until this morning (13 hours total). We left the doors closed the whole time. When power was restored, i opened the doors. Everything in the fridge was still cold. Everything in the freezer was frozen solid. The ice cubes had not even begun to melt! Incredible!

So far so good. Very pleased with the appliance.

Wow! This works so quietly! We basically were sold on the slim design of the ice maker unit contained within the door space. Looks great and holds so much food. Love love love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator on July 3rd 2018 from Lowes. They didn't have the black stainless in stock and had to special order it, they said two or three weeks. It didn't get delivered until October. Didn't mind as my main concern was Thanksgiving and I had it in plenty of time for that. Around December we noticed water on the bottom drawer every time we opened the left door. At first I attributed it to kids spilling. Well the kids went back to school and it was still happening. Called and a repair man came out the next week. The water hose was loose. Ok, no problem, fixed. Then starting in August we noticed water leaking again,this time a lot more, and in addition I had some white plastic pieces in my cup when I got ice. Now what? Well after investigating I found plastic that the ice is formed in is broke and has a hole in it. Had to turn the ice maker completely off to stop the water from going everywhere. Called for service. Well since I had purchased in July my warranty was up I was told. But I didn't receive until October I said. Asked if I had proof. Well, no not of the delivery. So I called Lowes. The store I bought it from was now closed and no one has record. Somehow LG has record of the order, when it was purchased yet no record of when they sent it out. Remember, this was a special order, it came right from the factory. So now six plus weeks of trying to get this repair covered I am buying the part myself and having a repairman come to install it. Great. spent over $2k and now another $300 less than a year later. However, what prompted me to write this review, water is leaking again.

Very sleek looking and spacious refrigerator. I love the layout of the inside of both the refrigerator and freezer. The only issue we have is that the doors kind of slam when you shut them.

Its a nice Large refrigerator - fits a lot. Looks nice. Opening the bottom drawer is a pain because you need both doors open - no big deal. It is still running fine but I've only had it a couple weeks and that's too early to tell how it will behave over time. Not really fingerprint proof, maybe fingerprint deterrent... Water inlet is at the bottom left in back (when looking at the front of the fridge) and was somewhat far for my water line to reach but was doable.
