absolutely
Using an oxygen and acetylene torch, I was able to braze steel tubing. I’ve read feedbacks on here that people say these are no good, that’s because they are using a propane torch that doesn’t get the metal hot enough. You must use and oxygen acetylene torch

This product worked out excellent. I had a tiny pin hole in one of my steel skid-steer hydro line and I didn't want to spend the $300 for a new one. So I pulled out my Mapp gas torch, cleaned up the tubing and brazed it. Now I'm back in business for under $15. I also touched up some areas that were starting to show rust and pitting. A little preventative maintenance.

I used this to fix a broken cast iron bracket on my band saw. I brazed with my oxy-acetylene torch and it worked perfectly. Nearly strong as a weld without the heat stress fracture risk of welding cast iron.

I thought I was ordering stainless steel. However, it was bronze and would not work for what I wanted it for.

    You Need High Heat!
Purchased bronze alloy to braze 1" 16 gauge steel square tubing. You require either oxy/acetylene or turbo torch to get this alloy to flow. Your material may be red hot in appearance, but if it's not up to temperature, the alloy will not flow. Worked well for the intended purpose.

      Worked Well
Worked as described. Precoating with the flux was very helpful. I just wish I had been able to buy one, instead of a package.

I have been using this product for years for small repairs where welding was overkill. I need more rods and purchased these, identical to my first back.

Used this to repair a broken, cast iron, drill press base. It was very easy to use, flowed out well, and formed a very strong bond with the cast iron. Just be sure to get the base material hot enough to melt and accept the brazing rod and flux and it will flow and bond very well.

Only issue is that some of the rods were missing pieces of flux. Maybe old stock?

Not my first rodeo. These rods SUCK!
Burned/waster a whole can of mapp gas on one of these rods trying to braze clean metal. Got the garden hoe red hot and this crap would not braze. The flux burns off too fast basically leaving you with a coat hanger that won't melt. Had a friend add a propane pencil tip torch to the mix and still no luck. Tried a car battery out of curiosity since electric is in the name, still no dice, just looked like 4th of july sparklers. Expecting my money back and a free can of map gas tomorrow for this sad product. I can get sparklers for $0.50 a pack, DNB this crap.
