We used this tile for our bathroom/ laundry room renovation and could not be happier with our choice. In my opinion, the color and details in the tile make this product stand out, allowing it to blend easily with our choice of tile in the shower as well as with our vanity. I love this tile!

We put the tile vertically in a shower. We went up two courses of tile and did a 4 inch belt of glass like multi-piece tile we had cut into thirds. Fortunately we had decided to go to the ceiling with the tile and the bull-nose that accompanies this tile has the striated lines that matched the vertical installation. Had we not gone to the ceiling the striations on the bull-nose edging would have been perpendicular to that on the tile and would have looked a little off. The secret to a good tile job is the installer. The installer had 30 years experience and was very good at what he did.

This is a very very good looking tile - in our case it is on our shower walls and looks fantastic. reason for the lack of 5 stars is the machining (at the factory) of the tiles is poorly done. there were many tiles that were not the same dimensions - some by about 1/8" - this makes for a very frustrating tile job when your grout lines are small and want the job to be perfect. About 2 out of 10 were like this which is a huge percentages overall. So if you do go this route, please pay very close attention before placing each tile.

We did a complete bathroom remodel. Went floor to ceiling with this tile and it's sister color which was the shade lighter. Couldn't be happier with the way it looks. A very nice gray, muted brown. Looks gorgeous on the walls.

I absolutely love the way this tile looks in my kitchen! However, it is definitely a lot more grey than the brown it looks online - it was a happy surprise though! Turns out it looks the grey tone looks a lot better with the wall color than the brown would have.

Love the look of this tile. Make sure you 'burn' the tile before laying them, to help prevent lifting. Easy to install, easy to clean. I also recommend using levellers (not sure of the brand name, but you can buy them in Home Depot. This helps your tiles remain level and evenly spaced.) We used Delorean Gray grout. **Burn tile: spread mortar on the floor as you would with any tile, but make sure that you spread mortar on the back of the tile then scrape off excess. Leaving mortar in the crevasses of the tile. Then lay the tile)

I work for a property redeveloper and we use this tile in just about every house we do. The Metro Charcoal is my favorite, it has a really nice color to it. We either pair it with a grey grout or white. The Metro Gris is also a good option. We usually use it on the floor and do a subway tile on the walls if we are doing a bathroom. Almost always use white grout with the Metro Gris. I have yet to try the beige or cream version of this tile. I have read reviews that it doesn't do well on floors as far as stains go.

Love this tile! Quite a few broken tiles in our boxes, but to be expected since we had them shipped to us. Very pretty tile. Glad we went with the black, as it's more of a charcoal gray. Also, we chose Pewter grout, and wishing we went with a darker color. Dried a bit too light.

Handsome tile that completely transforms a room. The dark colour makes the room seem larger, and the striations bring a retro look to your floor. There is some variation in this tile's thickness (very subtle) which keeps me from giving it a 5. I recommend sorting through each box to find any extra thick thick tiles, which I placed around the perimeter. Pattern match isn't a problem, so you can get a good yield from most boxes. The colour is throughout the tile, which means it'll mask the inevitable chips which occur with any floor tile. Looks fantastic with black grout.

      LOVE IT!
My son wanted a "man's" bathroom. Boy did he get it! I actually got the BLACK. I ordered Charcoal originally, and it is almost light blue gray. I swapped it for the black, which is really a good charcoal medium gray. The stripes give it just enough pzazz to keep it from being boring, but its not to busy. Everything but the Tub is trimmed out in black around it - see pictures- and it really makes the tile shine. Its been installed for a month now, easy to clean. You a grout release before you grout though, or you will have so much extra time spent in cleaning that up! You can see in 2 of the pictures it looks lighter with the bright light on it, and darker otherwise. The flash washed it out.

      I love this tile!
This tile is amazing! It was easy to work with, install, and clean up when the job was completed. Sometimes when you're running a tile through the saw, at least one tile has a "weak spot" that will cause it to snap...not ONE of these tiles did. I went right over an old Terra Cotta inset floor that had seen better days. Had no issues at all keeping the tile level. I did noticed when moving my Fridge back in the room, this tile surface was able to scratch a little easier than I anticipated. (but not enough to be annoyed..it cleaned right up)

      beautiful shower
This tile was used to create a beautiful walk in shower and elegant flooring in the master bathroom. Installation was completed by the contractors so I cannot attest to the ease of installation, but the results were well worth the purchase, especially because the tiles were on sale!

      Good Looking Tile
The color of this tile matches greys and browns including tans. I used Dolorian Gray as the grout and it turned out pretty amazing. I could have gone darker with the grout as well. This was perfect for my bathroom, even the dog loves it!

      Metro Charcoal tile
This is pretty decent product. I only had one tile that was cracked and two tiles with very tiny chips out of 15 boxes. I switched them out at the store without a problem. The tile is smooth to walk on and has a matte finish. The color is tricky to explain though because it depends on the light. In pictures, it either shows up very light or dark and it's hard to get an accurate representation of the color. There are beige tones in it. If you're looking for complete gray and a little darker, go with the Metro Gris. I liked Metro Charcoal because it's a little lighter and more neutral. We initially used a lighter gray grout (Poly Blend Natural Gray) but it was nearly the same color tone, so it just blended in with the tile. The grout dried with uneven colors including white, so we changed grout colors before finishing. We switched to TEC Power Grout in Charcoal gray and that dried with consistent color, and the contrast against the tile looks much better. We have only had it installed a few days but I can see where others are coming from with it showing spots easily although we haven't really had any trouble cleaning it. You would probably run into the same probably with a light tile or a dark one, so it's probably not a problem specific to this tile. I also agree that the tiles are not all uniform in size and thickness, so some areas of the floor might not be completely flat, but I assume this is the case for other tile. I will provide an update in a few months to say how it's holding up.

Beautiful tile, color different than appears
beautiful tile. Looks great in our kitchen, we originally got the "gray" which is SUPER light in person and returned it for the "black" which is a darker, charcoal color and more what we were looking for.

Uptown tile for bathroom and kitchen
We installed the metro gris tile in our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and bonus room off the kitchen It looks great and is easy to sweep, mop, or wipe up. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does tend to show marks easily, like every time you come in form outside and walk across with your shoes on, you'll notice. So, we've started a new tradition of taking our shoes off when we come in. Then it stays beautiful without constant mopping. When our guys installed it, they did mention there was a lot of "ghosting" of the grout ... it was very hard to get the grout off the tiles and get it looking clean. But somehow they got it done. Regarding choosing the right grout color for this tile ... We used pewter grout on the metro gris tiles in the bathroom. From a photo I had of the work progress, I thought the pewter grout was too brownish. So we got the "dove gray" custom color grout for the kitchen. When I arrived on site and saw the pewter grout in the bathroom, it was PERFECT! The problem had been the lighting in the photo. And then ... when I saw the dove gray grout in the kitchen in person ... it was too blue/lavender ... oh darn. Oh well! It still looks fine in the kitchen, even with the mis-matched grout ... after all, the grout is a small amount of the whole surface area. Mostly you see the beautiful tiles. But now I know, for future reference ... if you want a grout color that will blend in with this tile (so the grout lines don't jump out at you), and one that matches the color of the tiles themselves ... the in-stock pewter grout is the one to get.

          nothing not to like
Nothing not to like about this tile except for the cost dropped 2 weeks after i bought it. But oh well even at the old price it was a bargain for the quality of tile. I love the different colors that I can pick up due to the vertical line colors that make up the tile. My contractor was also impressed with the squareness of overall size and ease to lay. He seemed to really like the tile. The photo I'm attaching is obviously unfinished but even without grout it looks great.

              Good tile for the price
Tiled a full bath floor in my house with this tile. Great value and bang for your buck. I purchased 3 cases of tile - didn't notice any color variations as others have mentioned. I did pay mind to the color shade on the side of the boxes when purchasing (all mine were marked shade 52). All my cuts (both rip cuts and cross cuts) did not produce any chip out or problems as a few others mentioned. I used a Rubi score and snap tile cutter also available from Home Depot. Durability test - accidentally dropped a tile from waist height onto my concrete garage floor. TIle did not break. (although I didn't use this tile for fear that it might have gotten an unnoticed hairline crack) Found this to be a pretty good test for the strength of these tiles. Although not rectified, I found the tile size in general to be very consistant. I used 3/16" grout lines and pewter colored grout. Home Depot should consider selling the bull nose for this tile in stores. You can order online but I only needed 4 pieces and only cases are available online. I ended up cutting 2 1/2 wide" pieces and made my own base molding with tapered top grout joint to hide the unfinished edge. All in all, time will tell how they hold up now that they're installed. I haven't noticed any staining or cleaning problems as others have in my high traffic bathroom (3 kids) Really like the look and found nothing to complain about. Highly recommend.

A Porcelain Tile with and Amazing Look!
The installation was a breeze. This is exactly the kind of tile we were looking for. It totally completed our kitchen look and we couldn't be any happier with the turnout! Some of the tiles have tiny blemishes on them but very hard to spot. Overall for the quality of the product the price was great!

              Doesn't clean!
I wanted tile throughout my house for easy cleaning. This tile doesn't come clean. I've tried every product on it. As I can see from other reviews, other people are having the same problem. It looks great in the store but after only 3 months of use, there are black areas. I've gotten down on hands and knees with a scrub brush and even that doesn't get it clean. These tiles are terrible.

Looks pretty, terrible to keep clean
My husband and I had our eyes on this tile for a long time before purchasing it to lay in our kitchen. We used dark grout, and although we were happy with the look of the tile with the dark grout upon finishing installation, we immediately realized how difficult it is to keep clean! Just like a dark colored car, everything shows up on this dark tile. We are used to walking into the kitchen with our shoes on, but we need to change house rules now because I just don't have it in me to mop every day. If there are any tips on keeping this tile clean, please share your wisdom. We just installed this two weeks ago and we're already regretting the dark tile choice. Go with light tile, dark grout. It's much easier to keep clean. P.S. The porcelain tile chips easily. Be very careful.

                    Looks great! Awesome value!
We chose these tile for our first attempt at tiling our small bathroom. (About 30 sq. feet) Both my husband and I loved the look and decided to give it a try. They look great we're easy to install and I feel the price was awesome. The boxes were heavy to lift but we had no trouble with breakage. We only bought two boxes so we did not see any trouble with color variance. We have gotten a lot of compliments on how great they look. People think they look like expensive tile. My husband did the cutting and I did the laying and grouting. We are so pleased with hoe easy they were to work with and how they turned out. If ordering online(we bought ours in store) The color is grey with tan. We used grey grout.

It doesn't get any cheaper than $2 per square foot
Talk about inexpensive paying just $2 per square foot. Saw something at a high end tile dealer however they wanted $6/sqft. Save a bit and invest the difference in these nice subway white tiles
