the drill is under powered for drilling holes bigger than 3/4 inch. the impact driver is my favorite, but the black rubber on it is coming off.

All I can say is Makita is the bomb. I couldn't believe how light it is and how powerful it turns out. I was debating on which brand to go with. I've heard a lot of good things about DeWalt but when I talked to my friend and he recommend me this brand so I decided to buy it. First all of, the price is much less than DeWalt. Second, Makita offer you the combo kits instead of one single item. Based on those two options along, it's good enough for me to make the decision. I was so excited when they sent it to me. Oh by the way, the free shipping option that Home Depot offers is also great. I purchased this combo kit because I want to build a patio for my parents. I couldn't believe how Makita has done it but the tool is so light and it charges very quick and the battery is supper long lasting. I had no problem using the tools. It's supper powerful and I did not use much of my energy. In addition, the design is compact and easy to carry it on my belt unlike Dewalt or other brands where they make it so bulky and heavy. I would recommend anyone from bying it. Save your money on Makita people.

I have bought a few inexpensive drills over the years. I was tired of replacing batteries after only months of use, so I picked up this set because it was so highly recommended. All I can say it Wow! It drills though bricks with ease and the battery lasts forever! I build another set of shelves in my garage last weekend and my battery lasted the entire time! Previous drills I have used (Dewalt) didn't have the run time that this one has. The impact driver is amazing! So much power, yet very small and lightweight so it doesn't fatigue you when you are using it the entire day! This kit is a great value for the money. It comes with the 3 amp hour batteries. The batteries either make or break the powertool. That is why I purchased this drill/impact set. So glad I spoke with Tim at the Centerville Home Depot in Utah! Great store and outstanding service! Had one of these since the mid 90's...its a workhorse. No complaints.

This drill is lighter than my 12v dewalt but WOW it has power. balance is perfect. the big difference comes when you have to stand on a ladder and hold it above your head doing ceilings it works perfect. the batteries charge really fast..although you never have to charge them.

Have had set fore three years and would not buy any other kind when I have to replace. Used the set to remodel the entire house and still going strong.

This cordless combo sets the standard by which all other cordless drills / drivers are judged. 3ah or power, unbelievable to see it in action. And at this price, you can't go wrong. Contractor OR diy homeowner.

Absolutely the best Cordless combo on the market. Yes, The drill speed is slow but the torque does the job. Impactor quiet, smooth, and powerful. Worth every penny. Perfect for the everyday contractor. Overkill for homeowner use. (Buy a Ryobi). You can't go wrong with this purchase. ENJOY.

Best cordless drill & impact I've ever used. It's light comfortable in your hand and has a lot of power. Batteries charge quickly typically 25 minutes. Buy it you won't be disappointed !!!!!!
