Tool was fine but did not come with a lock wrench. Makita rep insisted it does not come with a lock wrench. Told me to email him (@chittle) with receipt. I sent a email with the receipt and issue. Never emailed back nor resolved the issue. I called back a week later and another rep said they’ve notified the rep and he never got back. Multiple calls and new rep finally resolved it. Terrible customer service from a premier company. Next time I’ll just return the tool and let Makita deal with it.

I only used this tool just in some weekends, nor a have duty activity, few days ego stop working. I don’t know what happened!

These worked great, though I found out later that Home Depot online sold the higher capacity set of 6ah batteries for $50 less, so I'd suggest checking online before buying in the store.

I am very disappointed in the 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Variable Speed Lightweight Compact Reciprocating Saw with Built-in LED. The rest of my brushed tools in this line work very well, but I am let down every time I try to use this saw. My fathers cheap craftsman cuts so much faster than this. With fresh blade rated for metal and wood it takes an embarrassing amount of time to get through one nail. Hopefully the brushless and non-compact ones are better.

Holy crap !! 300 dollars for two lithium batteries. But I had to buy this because the original ones that were sent to me along with the Makita edger tool were defective. I have since resolved this with a replacement from a Makita authorized service center.

Have waiting for 3 days as ups does not know where it is !

Home Depot is the best store in the world. He got the best to us and I can find anything I need. Thank you Home Depot. I love you.
