Our dishwasher overflowed and we had to replace our engineered wood floors. This turned out to be an excellent choice. It gives our standard condo box a modern feel. I can't speak to the installation--the contractor had to glue the joints and said it was a little more difficult--but the results are great. We love it. There is a lot of variation between boards and it's a lotta look, but if that's your cup of tea you won't go wrong.

I looked at hundreds of floors and saw this in the store, and couldn't find anything I liked as much. I wanted a real wood floor which was click due to cost and installation, but I liked the interesting grain and coloration of this floor. Each piece is truly unique. One of mine has a sword shaped knot. LOVE the variation. It is a truly modern aesthetic but still manages to be warm due to a pinkish hue. True to the claims, the wide plank delivers. I was able to lay and install 600 sqft of floor with a few people helping in a day. The finish work, trim etc, will take more time than the flooring. It's not difficult to install except for the strange cuts. I recommend having good tools (table saw, chop off and a good variable vibra-saw for ultra weird angle cuts when necessary). The only thing that bothered me is the wear/veneer layer I saw in the store was for the nail down version, this was more similar to other engineered floors in the price category. I did not have the time, money, or want to destroy what's underneath the floors so this was an excellent choice. Paired with DMX one step.

The look of this floor is great. Had it installed by home depot a couple of weeks ago, so I can't comment much on ease of installation, but it's a standard engineered click so if you have the time and the saws I'm sure it's doable. There can be a bit of variation in the colors of the planks from a very light off white to almost having a pinkish hue, but the colors work well together along with the darker accents from the staining. The planks have a matte finish and can be a bit slippery with socks, but I personally prefer the feel of this to a typical polished smooth finish. Haven't had any problems with dents or scratches yet. If you're worried about how hard the material is, grab a sample and test dropping things on it. The only other thing I would keep in mind is that with this floor, along with any other light wood floor, you're going to see dirt/hair a little more easily, but that should just motivate you to keep your place cleaner. Overall, I'm very happy with this floor so far. Now just to see how long it will last.

I bought my first home and wanted to switch out the existing (terrible green) carpet for a medium finish, wider plank, maple. These floors are great. I didn't have any trouble installing them myself, and they have stood up very well even in the kitchen. I've gotten so many compliments on them too!

These floors exceeded our expectations! From delivery by Estes shipping to being installed on our floors, the process was incredibly smooth. I shopped at HomeDepot.com for about about six weeks before selecting this brand and type. I went to Malibu Floors website and watched a few product videos and was convinced this was the product for us. The maple cardiff was the perfect choice as they contrast well against our existing kitchen and bathroom tile. The 6 1/2" width is also the way to go, too! No more 4" width everyone, 5"+ in width with a matte finish is what you want for today's wood floor install. We've only been back in our home for 48 hours since our remodel completed, but we're loving these floors! I agree with a few of the other reviews, the color you see online is very accurate to how they look in person.

Easy to install, easy to work, great looking product! This was my first experience with an engineering click hardwood product. I was hesitant at first, but really like the way the new floors look now. The only complaint I have is the color variation within the cases. I didn't think this would be an issue at all, therefore, did not order any extra cases to cover for any off-color pieces. However, I imagine some buyers may need to order 10% or more cases just to improve the color match in their installations.

Our house is a loft-like split level. This specific flooring made it look homely, yet a great place for entertaining. With this floor, I can go with a french chic to Venetian to a resort lodge look. Even a modern Manhattan loft look!

Beautiful floors! My husband was happy with the installation and I'm very happy with their appearance. The floors have been installed for almost a year now and are holding up well in our basement. A nice upgrade!

So happy we chose this flooring and we continue to get compliments all the time. It is beautiful and looks much more expensive than its price point. Installation tip: make sure if you're doing click and lock (without glue) that your crew is tapping the pieces after locking in place. Our did not :/ and the seaming could be a bit closer. Glue down is definitely preferred if you want to mitigate the sound of walking on the floor. That's the only thing I give < 5 stars.

We LOVE our new Malibu Cardiff floors. Never installed flooring before but this went in so easy. Covered parquet in one room and linoleum in the other. Massive improvement and it’s held up these few months with no issues despite water, chairs sliding around etc. Great stuff and hoping to buy more to match our leftover remnants so we can put it in more rooms.

If you're looking for hardwood flooring that would complete that clean, hygge, minimalist, and Scandinavian interior you've been envisioning, look no further. The Malibu Wide Plank (Maple Manhattan) opens and brightens up small spaces like magic. The 6-1/2 in wide planks creates a sense of luxury, while the natural hand-stained "Manhattan" surface keeps the interior feeling cozy. It's on the pricey side, but worth it. The one caveat is that you will need to sweep and mop the floors fairly frequently if there's heavy traffic in and out of the house. Nothing that a rumba vacuum can't handle though.

Beautiful color and look! The wood dings very easily though, which is why I gave an average rating for the quality and value.

After searching through what felt like hundreds of samples we finally found the Malibu Wide Plank which works perfect in our new space. This engineered click hardwood was easy for us do-it-yourselfers to install (float) throughout our home. We love the color, and wood grain texture. After a year and a half it has proven to be durable in high traffic areas and it is easy to clean with a Bona wet mop.

I just had my floors installed and could not be happier, a truly well made and designed product. I highly recommend Malibu wide plank flooring they are obviously a cut above. Sam

I bought 7 boxes of the Maple Cardiff for my 150 sq. ft. bedroom and could not be happier with the result. There were zero damaged or defective boards in my shipment and a nice variety of colors and patterns. I purchased a portable table saw to cut around the door/closet areas and to rip the pieces along the vertical grain and I used an easy chop cutter for the cross cuts, the wood was durable and easy to cut. I should mention, that this was my first time installing any type of flooring, so I was nervous to get started, but this is totally do-able with the right tools and a few online videos!

Beautiful flooring. It does look like the picture and is easy to install. The short end of the boards do not click, only the long side of each board, so it is a bit easier to install. Love the variation in the boards and yet there are plenty of boards that are just clear grain.

Arrived damaged, employee had me go through all the boxes myself to pick out acceptable pieces to use. Lectured me on making sure I took the exact amount of pieces for a box.

This product does not click together very well on the ends and only has a drop-lock that started to separate during floating installation. We foresaw that this product would separate quickly and returned it.

The MWP Cardiff Maple was exactly the coloring and texture we were looking for. It went down easy and had virtually no damaged pieces. Highly recommend!
