Product has notches cut on corners that will leave gaps when installing with s-clear & drive cleats. Called Home Depot Customer Service, and was told to return it or "you know, sometimes you just have to do it yourself. I do it myself all the time" (direct quote from Customer Service). Read review further down. You will have to cut every flange in order to have ducts properly join to another.

Home Depot is the only place I've ever seen this sold by the individual half. An HVAC supply house sells both halves as a single unit for about the same price in addition to it being 5 feet long instead of just 4 feet and it will also come with 2 slips and 2 drives for connecting to another section, Home Depot sells these separately. The only reason I ordered this was because I needed it immediately and home Depot said next day delivery but the next day it got delayed, then it got delayed again so this was a giant waste of money and time

These things are just plain awful. First they're super-thin... the foil you wrapped your leftover turkey with last Thanksgiving is probably stronger. Second: whoever or whatever did the bending on these seemingly would not know a 90-degree angle if it fell on their head. And as another reviewer mentioned, the sections don't lock together properly. On the first two I tried, out of 8 feet of "seam", I'd say 6" locked, the rest won't. Absolutely not worth the cost.

Galvanized steel is not supposed to be mirror shiny but mine was

I was worried this would arrive all bent up since it is big and flimsy before being assembled. But it was actually in pristine shape. Better than similar ductwork found in-store.

I have to admit I've never worked with metal duct before. Product is well-made and easy enough to fit together into a rectangular duct. I needed an 8' long duct so I put 4 pieces together, hardest part was lining up the two ducts end-to-end and fastening with sheet metal screws. Result ended up a bit cockeyed but my lack of skill contributed to that. Would buy again.

Flimsy. Didn't lock together, had to use zip screws to hold it together. Top and bottom flanges were too long to use the channel hardware you are supposed to. I needed to cut every. single. flange. Really, I didn't even want to put a second more into this product to make a review. But home depot keeps sending me emails, over and over, hoping I give the chineseium a good review? It's thinner, and less ductile than anything you'll find at an actual plumbing supply place. And therein is the problem. You want to do home repairs DIY, mostly to save money, and for years you've demanded lower prices. Well, now you get 1 choice of the worst possible product, made by people that obviously hate you to make a product this bad. It also makes tradesmen, with a tax number, who can buy at actual plumbing supply stores, look like magicians. Because the product is so much better, and easier to use.

Very light gauge metal and no slips or drives with pieces.

Yes worked out even though this is 16 inches wide and my ductwork was 15 inches wide...my stuff never seems to be standard???

This product put together very well and true size

Cheap thin metal and sections don’t fit or stay together very well. Only bought because my regular supplier couldnt deliver until the next day and I needed to finish the job so ok in a bind otherwise stay away

Works ok, difficult to assemble into a box if you are more inexperienced with how duct work fits together. Slightly larger cleats would help securing fitment when trying to put it together by yourself. Hanging the box went smoothly. Just make sure to purchase an end cap if merely adding to a trunk line.

Just what I needed

Great

Duct section was the exact size I needed, and easily snapped together with another half section to make a 16" x 18" trunk. It comes already bent for slips and ties, so you could easily use the sections to make a much longer trunk.

Very easy to snap the pieces together. However they tend to get pretty bulky so you may need a second hand to help with install.

Good price. Had to straighten it to use it.
