Ordered white tile - color was uniform throughout 4 boxes. Gorgeous tile! My installer painted a rubber like membrane to strengthen the mesh.

Bought this to change the tile in my bathroom. I am so happy with the results. The bathroom looks great!

Overall it is okay. We took the time look through the tiles and noticed some were very different. We chose the ones that were the same, or so we thought. Unfortunately after the grout was applied we can see color differences. 😕 I wish they all matched. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I’m disappointed with my purchase! Spent a ton of time researching the right floor tile. The tiles were, for the most part, set properly on the mesh, which was a big deal… but, for what I payed, the glaze is so thin on the tile, along with the grey porcelain that is the base….it doesn’t appear bright white!! Doesn’t match my white subway tile that was super cheap ( that I actually like it better)!! Try and purchase a large sample and test it in your room before buying!!

We used this for our walk in shower floor, easy install and one of the only true black colored hex tiles we could find.

Remodel of bathroom in 100 year old house and wanting to update while retain a retro look in a way. I chose to pair this glossy, shiny white hex tile with the same brand of tile in marine color and blended the two to make an updated and interesting look which I love. The sheets were easy to install and Mapei grout was used in Silver color and I just love the result. Used a bullnose schluter end piece to finish the wall edges and will pair with oil rubbed bronze fixtures.

This tile is very nice quality, love the color and finish. Also, hex tile is a classic that always looks nice. We only had a few chipped tiles, definitely order 10% more sq. footage than you'll need at minimum. Actually getting these tiles to be spaced perfectly is very difficult. Not impossible, but hard for sure. This was my second time tiling, so I'm no expert. My main qualm is that you can't really use a wet saw to cut these tiles since the backing of the tile (the mesh that holds them the correct spacing apart) falls off when the tiles get wet.

As a DIY homeowner who has never attempted a tile project, I was worried that the tiles would be difficult to work with, but I was extremely impressed by both the quality of the tile and the mesh backing, which is a critical component. I decided to create a pattern using white and grey tiles, which required cutting the mesh backing of the tiles to create smaller strips. I was worried that this might cause the hex tiles to separate from the backing, since the cheaper variety of these tiles tend to have that problem, but I had not a single one fall off. Overall, these are very well made tiles that were also packaged carefully to prevent damage during shipping. I am thrilled with the final product, and I would definitely purchase these tiles again.

Used this tile.in my bathroo. Remodel. On the floor and in the shower niche. Came out beautiful. Definitely recommend

This tile has been newly installed. It was packed very well for shipment with no broken tiles. My contractor said it installed easily and it looks good so far.

Can’t speak to the installation because we got help with that part, but the look is great! We were going for a classic look and saw 2 inch hexagon tiles in an old Victorian home. We chose a white grout to keep with a slightly modern/clean look and it turned out great!

Easy and I install. Well packaged. Great finish and aesthetically clean and modern. Great product.

Great tile. Come in sheets, easy to lay. A little difficult to match up- takes time, though when done right looks great. Love the solid Matt black.

I had an absolute horrible experience with this tile. For a tile of this price, color consistency should be much better since you can't really mix up these small pieces up like you can larger tiles. I used it to fix and aging shower tile floor. But after it was all installed and grouted, I noticed some sections where lighter than others! Apparently I got some older stock mixed with newer stock. I can sum this up as a rookie mistake on my part since you have to be careful with tile, but this is expensive stuff and should have better color quality/consistency. I ended up pulling up sections and replacing them, but it didn't help the color differences in the stock. So all the work I put into this floor and it looks like junk.

Subway tile is overdone -- set your kitchen apart with a hip hexagonal look. The matte white feels more inviting than an overly vibrant glossy white. Depending on the number of obstructions to work around, this mounts fairly easily (the hex pattern is forgiving in aligning). I'm not sure how you cut these tiles without a diamond saw. We bought one of those score-and-snap tools, but didn't use it. Grout and caulk is easy to remove from the tile. The standard edging felt too glossy, so we went all in and bought the matching pencil tile to go with it. We really like the look, and feel it complements the counter-top without distracting.

This is an excellent tile with a great look when down. We grouted with the Platinum grout and it really set the tile off nicely. Only complaint I would mention is the mesh backing contains a "latex" glue witch is water soluble and keeps the tiles in their pattern. If you don't get it straight and set fairly quickly the tiles release from the mesh making it a bit more difficult to set.

Tile looks great - one box had a lot of damaged tile, but HD was good to credit us for the issues. I assume this is an isolated incident - still recommended.

Beautiful tile! I was looking for a unique, simple, modern white backsplash for my kitchen update and didn't want the standard subway tile. I'm so happy with the way the 2" hexagon turned out and I love the high gloss. Although it's not a true white, it has a bit of a gray cast during different times of the day depending on the light. It was even more noticeable once the pure white grout was added but it still looks great with the new arctic white quartz countertops.

My wife and I are remodeling a small bathroom to a mid 20th century style (specifically 1940's). This Metro Hex tile fits the time period perfectly with an updated modern color. It has a very nice matted finish that's not to glossy but not to muted as well. These tiles are very good quality for the price. I used about seven boxes to finish my floors and out of the seven boxes, I only found three individual tiles that had a chip or defect in them. I just used those mats for my corner or edge pieces where I new I could leave those tiles out. Installation was a learning process. I found it hard to get the gaping between each of the full mats perfect. When I would lay a full 5x6 tile mat on the the thin-set, the spacing between the tiles had a tendency to move towards the center of the mat. To compensate for this, I ended up cutting each mat into two 2x6 tile sheets and one 1x6 tile sheet so that I could better control the spacing between each sheet. It took a lot longer, but the results were amazing. We grouted with the SimpleGrout #165 Delorean Gray 1 Gal. Pre-Mixed Grout. I would recommend using a sanded grout and not a premix grout unless you're a professional. There are a lot of grout lines that you need to get with this tile and you want something that will not dry on you that fast. Overall the this product more than meet my wife and I's expectations. The installation is challenging, but the results are well worth the effort if you're willing to put in the extra time to make sure that it comes out correct.

This tile looks nice on our bathroom floor. We're happy with it. The contractors found it somewhat time-consuming to install. Unfortunately Merola doesn't make matching baseboard tile, but they make some that's close enough to look good with this.

The original artisan used 2-1/2" hex tiles to create a custom pattern in white with black accents, and so did I. The REAL challenge was searching for some retailer who still had V-Cap edger tile available (no longer sold at Home Depot). My way of hacking the grout-getting-dirty issue was to cover the tile with sheets of clear acrylic, held down by clear Gorilla Tape. My one complaint: why is there an apx $30 difference between a box of the glazed black and the glazed white of the same material? And why can't these be sold in individual sheets so that homeowners don't end up with leftovers.

I had 8 boxes without a single problem tile. As with all mesh backed mosaics, spacing not perfect. This was my first tile project ever, and it was HARD. I don't have particularly good skill with spatial relations, though, and also got a lot of thinset smooshing up. Love the 2" look

This tile is beautiful and comes in sheets to make installation easier. Installation, however, isn't easy considering you have to cut each inner tile to fit against the wall and cabinets (vs. a 12x12 tile with one cut.)

The tiles look great. Definitely a little harder to cut and install just due to the size/shape of the tiles vs. a solid tile. It gave the look we wanted. You can tell that the bath has been renovated but it still has a very classic style.

Product exceeded expectations, was easy to install. I watched a video where you need to make sure between the tile sheets that you have the correct amount of spacing so you don't see a thicker seam. That was easily accomplished with 1/8" spacers. Towards the end of the room, (my fault), the tile did skew a little but it was easily corrected by peeling off the individual tiles and setting the last few in by hand, like a puzzle piece. I was back and forth on the matte vs the glossy tile as my house was built in 1875 and wanted to be historically correct but....the glossy will do better in the laundry area. Enclosed pics of floor, gray grout was drying as that's why there is a bit color variation. I assure you, there are no seams and am very happy with it. As for the edging, the tiles are easily cut on a wet saw. Baseboard will fill in the rest of gap.

The mesh holding the tiles were weak and did not allow for easy cuts or installation.

This tile is excellent quality, consistent in color in the packaging assure that it will not be broken when you get it. Highly recommended for homeowner or Contractor.
