The product is great, works as it should. Wiring instructions were poor and incomplete. Had to call there helpline to get the correct wiring instructions.

All the mighty mule accessories have come with the wiring;...
All the mighty mule accessories have come with the wiring; however this does not; so expect to pay more for wiring...I'd say budget at least another $50.
Also, know that mighty mule gates do not automatically close unless you enable it; so this accessory might not be needed for you.

Hello Kenn, You are correct. On the Home Depot webpage under the Mighty Mule Photo Beam sensors it states. Required low-voltage wire (RB509) not included; 100 ft., 250 ft. and 500 ft. lengths available. Because many customers may have different needs based on their particular situation. This way, our customers can customize to the length they need. If we included wire and a customer only needs 75 ft, and we give them 250 ft, it would drive up the price and be wasteful. Unhappy
Had to get the instructions online, they were not included with the product. Does not work properly because the instructions say to not mount them in full sunlight, so what am I supposed to do? Plant a tree next to the gate and wait a few years?

Photo Beam Sensor works
This sensor was installed outdoors on a rifle range. Sperated by 80 feet, signal strenght was strong. Broken beam time delay of 2 seconds allowed for momentary siren and notification of potential issues down range. 12 volt dc system makes it applicable for power outages and portable.

DISORGANIZED GTO
This review is about the GTO R4222 photo cell. I purchased one direct from the manufacturer and another from Home Depot, which was less $$. The Home Depot unit was newer and works fine, the first was an older model and did not work. The company, Gates That Open, uses several shell companies to internet market their own products. In general the staff are polite. That having been said, the service is poor. The manuals, printed or online, are sketchy, inaccurate and conflict each other throughout. The website has trouble shooting guides but they are poorly organized and incomplete. Only direct calls to the support center gets you an answer. Calls are not returned. E-mails are not returned. My own invoice form the manufacturer (first unit) did not even have a date on it. I would shop elsewhere for products of this type next time.
