Frankly I already had a pretty good quality quarter drive inch socket set (by Grip) but when I saw these Milwaukee ones I had to try them being a huge Milwaukee fan. And I have to say I believe these are the best made quarter inch drive socket sets I have seen. The build quality is fantastic. The bases are VERY solid and the ratchet is well made. The only improvement I can see possible would be a quick release like the one on my Grip ratchet. The markings are large and easy to see. The case is good quality. And the assortment given in both the metric and SAE sets is great with both deep well and regular depth versions of each (a lot better than my Grip ones which I thought were a pretty good set.) It comes with a good set of extensions too which are nicely knurled. You can’t go wrong with these if you want good quality tools. Kudos to Milwaukee for putting out quality product. Do yourself a favor if you need some ¼ in drive sets and get them both.

As usual Milwaukee products deliver. A 1/4 inch drive set engineered to improve durability and make the end users life easier. 26 piece set has quite a few of the most popular sizes and includes small and large extensions, and universal coupler. Squared off ends on sockets make it easy to add a wrench if needed.The ratchet set finish is excellent and overall you can feel the quality. The case is nice and includes hangers for peg board storage.Milwaukee quality.

This 32 piece ratchet and socket set is just what my husband needed for his Harley Davidson since everything on it is metric. It has a carrying case, two extensions, one long and one short, plus a swivel extension and deep and regular sockets. It has 14 sockets from size 6 to 19 in both types. We love Milwaukee tools because they are well made and dependable.

An excellent socket set from Milwaukee! It consists of 32 pieces of high quality hand tools. Included is a ratchet, 2 extensions, a universal joint, regular and deep sockets from 6mm through 19mm. The sockets have an innovative feature in that the drive end is square, allowing you to put a wrench on them if necessary. This also has the neat feature of keeping them from rolling off of the work surface! The size is laser etched on 2 sides in large characters so you never are 1/4 turn away from finding the size. The ratchet has fine teeth that allow a short 4° swing for working in tight spaces. If you have a toolbox, the tray is removable from the case so you can just set it in a drawer. Many modern feature make these a pleasure to use.

This 1/4” offering from Milwaukee is a nearly complete ratchet, socket, extension, and joint set that will handle pretty much any small to medium size fastener and low torque application thrown at it. I say “nearly” because it covers every common sae and metric fastener size except 16mm, but 16mm is often excluded from other 1/4” sets. Some features that set it apart and go a long way to making it a great product: - overall quality and chrome finish - 90 tooth ratchet with a uniquely contoured handle and just enough length (5-5/8”) to give stubborn fasteners the business; feels remarkably comfortable and grippy in big hands - smooth gear and reversing switch operation; switch is recessed so it won’t bump your workpiece and reverse on you - rectangular base on every socket allows you to put a wrench on the socket, makes finger turning and removal with greasy hands far easier, and prevents sockets from rolling away on you - large engraved sizes on sockets - nice knurling on the extensions for finger turning - awesome case and removable tray with a nice clean layout and size markings makes staying organized and grabbing it for the road a breeze - nice solid connections to the sockets with minimal wobble - Milwaukee lifetime warranty can be serviced through Home Depot Minor nitpicking: - there was a tiny amt of wobble in a few sockets and the 6” extension when attached to the ratchet (very very tiny; for exp the 6” extension looks perpendicular to ratchet when attached, which is what you want; droopy extensions and sockets are a non-starter for me). This wouldn’t even be a negative, but Milwaukee are perfectionists and a pro tool company. Other pro brands like Snap-On and SK have zero wobble. Overall, this is a pricey offering, but it represents a good value given the level of quality Milwaukee has achieved. It’s a set that anyone, DIY to pro, would enjoy owning.

The Milwaukee 3/8-inch Drive Metric Ratchet and Socket Set is first class. Attention to detail begins with the storage case and removable tray. All of the sockets, ratchet and extensions are laid out perfectly and the removable tray allows everything to be relocated to your upright tool box for permanent storage. I like that the sockets are designed with a square end, sized for an open-end wrench. This feature also keeps the sockets from rolling away, when placed loose on a hard surface. The 90-tooth ratchet with a 4° of arc swing is best of class and will be valuable when working in tight locations. The size of each socket is nicely stamped on the flat portion of each socket. However, the stamping is a little hard for me to read. I really like when the case is closed and being carried, that all the sockets, extensions and the ratchet stay in place. Another design feature is the extensions are knurled at the center point. This knurling will help greasy fingers to be able to turn the extensions by hand as required sometimes. This ratchet set is first class. I’ve had the ratchet set for about a month now and in my opinion you can’t do better.

I am impressed with the organized case for this set, it being of tough high impact plastic with steel pinned hinged cover, handy sliding-type closure and tool slots that facilitate easy removal of the tool pieces. The sockets are all clearly and deeply stamped with the sizes and are all six-point type, my preference for driving hex-head fasteners. What I especially appreciate is the square base shape for the sockets that prevents them from rolling off of the working surface when removed from the drive ratchet and placed aside. The square rather than round socket profiles also facilitate wrench assists for extra removal and fastening torque, a nice innovation. The drive ratchet is low profile, having an overall length from tip to tip of about 5-12 inches. The ratchet system provides for a handy small arc of 4 degrees per click position. All if the pieces have a high quality chrome-plate finish. This set has a limited lifetime warranty. This is a high quality tool set that is a very welcome replacement for my old 1/4-inch METRIC socket set.

Provides up with ability to reach even deep areas. Also comes with an angle piece to reach this angle areas frequently impossible to reach. Made to last for years. I received the MILWAUKEE metric 32 piece 3/8" drive ratchet & socket set. The first thing I noticed was the nice carrying case to keep them organized. The sockets are all 6 point so it will be nearly impossible to strip a bolt or a nut. Each socket has a flat on them so you can use a wrench if needed. Also each socket is numbered & pretty easy to read. I wish the numbers were paint so they would be a little easier to read like the Milwaukee wrenches. I ratchet has fine teeth so it will work great in tight spots. The extensions have a place on both of them that makes them easy to grip & turn with your fingers. This is a very nice set for any garage or shop.

The tray can come out of case if you want to store it in a toolbox drawer, but be warned the tools just sit in the tray with no retention, so don't tilt it too much! This does make it easier to grab something when you need it though, since I've had socket sets that have too much retention. The chrome looks great on all components, but the stamped letters could be a little more clear for some of the smaller numbers.

Milwaukee did a great job in making a decent ratchet and socket set, and one look will tell you the presentation and looks are in check. The chrome is shiny, the case is solid and a great place to store them so they are readily available and in the proper place. As for function, I used them on multiple nuts to see if they were as sturdy as they are advertised. I had zero problems working out even the most stubborn nut from its corroded location. You get the standard (shallow) sockets, deep well sockets, a couple of extensions and a universal joint. You can remove the tray from the box and then return to the case when done. I'm sure you too will be as impressed as I am......you should order two sets. One to hang on the wall that you can stare at because this is one beautiful set and one set for doing the work you are buying it to do. Home Depot has a very decent return policy - so go ahead and give it a try, if it isn't all I've said it is, a simple return can be done at your local Home Depot store.

This is a well made deep-well socket set. It comes in a soft case that stores easily in the bottom of my tool box. I like that the case has clips that hold the sockets in place inside so they don't spill out when I unzip it. The ratchet handle goes in an elastic holder which makes it easy to access. While the sockets are all 3/8", the set comes with a 1/4" adapter in case I want to use my smaller sockets with it. Overall, I love this socket set. It is perfect for my needs; compact and functional.

The basic measurements of this Milwaukee drive ratchet set are: The ratchet tool itself measures 7-3/4 inches which includes the handle. The chrome shaft that holds the sockets is a nice slim 5/8 making it easier to get to places difficult to fit. The extension measures 6 inches in length. Each socket is 2-1/2 inches in length. The pivoting head swivels 180 degrees that does allow for multiple angles. The soft case included a socket rail and is surprisingly good at holding the pieces without them falling out when it is opened. I have always used soft cases which have pockets for the pieces to slot in to, but am confident that this rail will hold them better than the cloth holders (don’t you just hate it when they fall out as soon as the case is opened) A good strong zipper that opens the case is a huge bonus. That having been said, I tested the strength and versatility of these sockets on a couple of nuts that were on a cement mixer that was proving difficult in removing with using a different socket set. The space was limited and I was having a hard time trying to use ratchet because of the small area which was restricting the movement of the handle, Problem solved with this kit, It was a simple act to slip the socket on the nut and instead of using the handle with the pivoting head,(not enough space) I used a wrench on the flat side of the socket. I had to use an extension on the wrench in order to loosen the stubborn nut which proved to me that the sockets are very tough and they held on to the nut very efficiently. The 72 tooth with a 5 degree swing arc makes this kit certainly worth owning. So is it worth the cost? I believe it is. As with all Milwaukee tools this set comes with a lifetime warranty.

So my father's side view mirror got cracked while driving in the city, and rather than taking it to the dealer for repair at like 500% markup we ordered the parts ourselves to attempt our own replacement. The very first tool we needed was a socket ratchet, but the spot the nut was in was very tight and not ideal for your typical ratchet, fortunately this one has a swiveling head, allowing you to get into tight spots like a screwdriver of sorts. At the end of the day we got the new mirror installed and had this handy tool to thank for it.

Great set. Has all the basics you’d need, plus Milwaukee is the only one as far as I know that sells the square socket you can use your wrench on in a tight spot.
