Works smoother than any one I have used!

Fish tape was subpar. Doesn’t lock and keeps unraveling.

I extended one time about eight feet and it would never go back in without completely forcing it back in.

Purchased this about a year ago. To do some small jobs around the house. Never used it until last month. When installing several ceiling fans. It worked fine when un-reeling the line, but when i tried to reel it back in, it would jam up and get stuck. I’ve tried everything to make it work. I never dropped it or damaged it. I finally gave up and pulled the line out of the wall by hand. I took it apart, so that i could use the line to finish my jobs by hand. I cannot find my online receipt to get a refund. I’m out money , time wasted, but I have a brand new shiny red fish tape thats worthless..

This is simply an awesome tape! Have used it three times now and worked flawlessly every time. Not a lot more to say other than another quality product from Milwaukee. Very smooth operation. I would highly recommend you run the tape through a rag with light oil when you wind it back up if the tape has been exposed to any liquids of any kind to prevent rust and future problems.

This is a really nice fish tape if you have a long distance to fish a wire. I used it to pull wire 160 feet through conduit to a shed pad in the back of my yard. It slid smoothly through the conduit and didn't have any problems getting to that distance. To roll it back up is pretty standard with fish tapes. I will point out that this is a heavy fish tape because it is so lengthy.

Another great Milwaukee product

This is a very nice fish tape! I ordered this online and it arrived in perfect condition. This isn't my first fish tape. It is a lot smoother than my other fish tapes, even compared to when others were new. Being able to smoothly unwind a tape is a big plus when you are feeding it. Often , with other tapes, I would have to stop fishing, unwind steel from reel ahead of time, and then fish the steel wire by hand, in lengths at a time. With this fish I was able to feed it without having to set it down, and pull out lengths in advance. I'm pleased with how smoothly it reels, and unreels. The end is also nice to attach wire to. I find I'm not using as much electrical tape as I used to with other reels. I recommend it for sure, if you are looking for a good fish tape, this is a nice one..

Milwaukee Tools has once again come up with a very handy tool. We recently did some electrical work at our home. We used the 240 Ft. x 1/8 Steel Fish Tape to pull wiring throught the duct on some new landscaping lighting. This is a great tool. Works very well just as advertised. I have been using it for other wiring jobs around the house and have been impressed with its performance. I highly recommend it. I would recommend lubricating between use.

I have been very impressed with Milwaukee's non power tool offerings. I am in the process of installing exterior stereo speakers to my patio, this required that I pull speaker wire through the soffit and an enclosed wall. This tape was a tremendous help and I had no issue unreeling or retrieving the tape. the 1/8 size is good for getting through smaller openings, but you should be careful not to push too hard or you may bend and kink the tape. overall a nice product that operates as intended at a good price.

This will definitely come in handy for pulling electrical wire through a wall or through conduit. There have been many times that I have been stuck doing this kind of task the hard way and taking forever. I believe having this will make this type of chore much easier. This met my expectations although I haven’t had a need to use it yet but there kind of tasks tend to come up out of the blue.
