Living of the name!
Switched to all battery Milwaukee platform in 2017. The tools are not built to last.Drain machines, sawzall, drills rebuilt, replaced, tube cutters horrible, not to mention amount of broken bare tools + junk batteries. My old school corded Milwaukee tools might have needed a cord occasionally , or brushes after 15 years, but thats it. Today's tools are plastic junk w/ bearings and switches that burnout. Even corded Milwaukees I've purchases are from overseas now. Thumbs down over priced products

So my friend called me stating that him and his buddy are being trying to unclogged his bathroom sink since "early this morning", he ask me if i can help him since he havent beed sucessfull (5:30 pm already lol). Long story short... came to the place after 10 minutes or less the drain was unclogged, of course he thougth it was my plumbing skill that helped but honestly it wasnt that, it was this Air snake, this thing is amazing, start al low psi and go from there, literaly it took me longer to open the box than unclogged that sink. Sorry i dont have a picture of my with my tool 'in action" but this thing unclooged that sink so fast that i didnt have a chance to take a picture.

This review is for the Milwaukee Airsnake M12 Drain Cleaning Kit, Model 2572B-21. The kit comes with a tough plastic carrying case, a bit large at about 24-1/2"x18-1/4"x 6-1/2". The kit total weight is about 19 pounds. This kit includes a clearly written operator's manual, the control unit; one Red Lithium, 2.0 ampere-hour, M12 battery; 12-volt Milwaukee battery charger; 10-inch extension tube; three drain plug attachments; drain shroud attachment; toilet attachment and four connectors, three straight and one 15-degree angled. This product is a bit unusual from my perspective, but quite useful. So far, I have used it for clearing six bathroom sink drains in rental housing that I maintain. Doing so has avoided the otherwise messy procedure of dismantling piping to remove the P-trap for outdoor cleaning. This tool makes use of a burst of compressed air for clearing plugged or slow drains. The control unit includes an air compressor, air receiver tank with pressure gage and quick-release valve to create an air burst. I has worked very well on five out of my six uses so far, all started with an air pressure setting at 5 psi. On the sixth use, the drain was cleared at a third try at a 15 psi setting, however, not without resulting in a bit of a mess by bathroom sink drain debris that was blown through the sink overflow. Regardless, I expect to make regular use of this tool for such purposes in the future, taking the precaution of placing a wet rag over the sink overflow inlet and clearing the area before pulling the activation trigger. For most bathroom sinks, it is necessary to remove the drain stopper assembly for use of this tool. When doing so, one should be sure to replace the stopper activation lever assembly and its packing nut before tool activation. Extra caution also needs to be exercised when clearing drains with this tool in event someone has attempted to clear the drain using chemical cleaners. I make it a practice to always wear appropriate gloves and protective eyewear when clearing drains. When use of a chemical in an attempt to clear a drain is suspected, it is appropriate to shield one's face as well. This tool is has a five-year warranty for the tool and two years for the battery and accessories. This is an appreciated addition to my tool collection and, for me, most certainly, a time-saver.

Milwaukee M12 Airsnake 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drain Cleaning Air Gun Kit with Toilet Attach...
Milwaukee M12 Airsnake 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drain Cleaning Air Gun Kit with Toilet Attachment is a pro system that's uses pressurized air in pipes to clear plumbing clogs with a pipe clearing distance up to 35-feet. The kit is complete in that it not only has the air tool, but also all the attachments to fit various fixtures and pipes up to four inches in diameter along with an M12 battery and charger. This kit comes with a ten inch long extension attachment to use in standing water. I've used air pressure before to clear a kitchen sink clog, really liked how it worked, until now not a heavy duty solution found in this kit. The Airsnake puts out an impressive 50 PSI blast to move clogs loose and on their way. I can't see in the pipe, but its reported to also clear out slime and grease that sticks to the sides of pipe walls, too. As powerful as the Airsnake is it would be useless without a way to close off the drain so air pressure can be directed to the clog. This is what all the attachments do, different plugs to mount on the tool for different size drain openings. It can work on various drain openings: toilets, showers and urinals as well as clean out fittings. It comes with five plugs of different sizes and shapes as well as a ten inch long extension fitting. Using the tool is straight forward. You select the black rubber like plug that will seal off the drain, attach it, force the tool down onto the opening, build up the pressure in the tool and release it. This pressure is set by turning the bezel around the outside of the PSI gauge. Then press the black button on the side of the tool and tap the trigger to turn on the motor. They recommend a process where you set a low pressure, start at five PSI, if the clog isn't cleared, increment the pressure by five PSI more until its cleared. This means you are clearing the clog with the smallest amount of air pressure needed. Its a safety precaution for both you and the pipe. It also minimize any inadvertent mess from the contents of the clog being propelled out under high air pressure. This can be avoided by forcing the plug down hard over the drain as you fire the gun. It helps to keep a rag handy too to cover any seeping liquid. Previously, I did this with work with an electric snake, but prefer using air instead, both from earlier experience and especially now I'm using Milwaukee's Airsnake. Its a bit pricey and takes practice to use , but worth it and the tool I'll go to first when this work needs to be done.

I have several rental properties and got tired of paying for plumbers to go “fix” clogs that were caused by my careless tenants. So I searched for a solution/tool and found this Milwaukee air gun. At the price, it would pay for itself in less than two plumber visits. The operating manual does not provide instructions, but the tool design makes most of the features intuitive. You need to hold down the ON button until you here the internal compressor start and continue to hold down until it reaches the desired pressure. There is a pressure gauge on the very back with a spinning pressure adjuster dial. You set the metal pointer of the dial to the pressure you want and the the compressor stops at that point. It comes with every fitting you could possibly need for standard U.S. plumbing. You attach the appropriate fitting securely to the drain and press the trigger. Very simple to use. It is a large tool, but not unwieldy - I took a picture with a Dewalt driver next to it to give perspective.

Air Snake! So this is not for your average homeowner a bit pricey! If your a handyman plumber, etc this could be something to help speed the process of drain cleaning. First yes it works. It functions as described , easy to use. The battery is sufficient for many operations and it puts out from 5 to 50 psi. It comes with ample fittings for most drain applications you’ll come across. Operation and set up is fast and does have a small offset nozzle for sinks with a faucet right above the drain. Once you click on the desired nozzle head and extension, you then dial in your preferred pressure , press the power switch and hold for 3 seconds , wait for pressure to build , place nozzle over drain being sure you have sufficient pressure to make a seal and pull the trigger. So my experience as tested in several drains. Again the product works , however it does make a mess at higher pressures and even at the lowest in certain circumstances. My first attempt was on a basic bathroom sink at the lowest pressure setting . With two different nozzles and the extension fitting was not a issue, however stuff went everywhere , down the drain on the counters mirror , what a mess. This with the lowest pressure of the tool against the drain hole. Keep in mind this sink was not clogged, drain cap removed. Tried it again with another nozzle that has an offset that kinda when down into the drain and over it. . Same issue a mess. Trying it again I stuffed a towel all around the nozzle and yes another mess of the residue stuff inside a drain. Yuk!! Trying from low to high settings not much could be done to not make a mess. Make sure if there is a lever for filling the sink that it’s open and it’s connection under the sink is tightened. I did have some seepage from this spot after testing. Moving over to a toilet unclogged lowest setting worked best anything higher and your wearing what’s in the bowl. Commercial sink worked well with its high enough walls the residue coming back out is captured. With a good level water in the basin also helped keep the residual where it belongs. So all in all it works, maybe a softer material for the nozzles to make it tighter to the friction areas would help with splatter. I’ve cut a smaller hole then the size of the extension rod into a Silicon Matt, slipped it over it as secondary seal that can cover a sink or a bowl to control residue from making more of a mess.

A small learning curve but it unclogged a drain in half the time a snake would take.

Great kit. Intuitive assembly of the accessories. A great option to potentially getting out breaking out a sewer machine for blockages that a plunger cannot clear. I had a blocked toilet that a friend spend an hour trying to clear before asking me for help. It took longer to pull this guy out of the case than it did to clear. Tools pays for it self in time saved after a small handful of clearing blockages. Not a must have tool in your workshop, but a real nice luxury if you have the budget for it. 99% of the time I will store tools in my Packouts. This is is far too large to make that happen. The blow molded case work well. The storage area for a couple of batteries in the case is a nice bonus.

          Saves Time
The Airsnake is amazing! I have a shower with a drain cover that cannot be removed (without cutting away grout and then re-grouting when finished). After a few attempts, 25 PSI cleared the sludge and the shower drains better than ever. I also used this on a bathroom sink and it worked great at 10 PSI. No more taking apart the trap and scraping the sludge away manually. The kit includes a really nice carrying case as well as a battery and charger. I highly recommend.

Need I say more? My god, I should have bought this years ago. I can’t tell you how many cheap snake cranks I’ve gone through, all of them terrible, only to be followed by a defeated call to the plumber. I gave this 4 out of 5 for value. Value is the only minor flaw. $400 is a little much to ask for what amounts to a pneumatic air gun. But hey…it works! That’s one, maybe two calls to the plumber. I’ve had too many calls to count so I don’t care at this point. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

I have a bothersome drain in my tub that requires clearing once every three months or so. The last time it happened, the plumber used this tool, and charged me like $300 for the call. For the same price, I now own the tool, and will not need to call again. It is easy to operate, and works very well. Just make sure not to overdo the PSI on the first go, as you may damage the pipes. Work slowly in small increments and it is brilliant. Overall worth the money.

Very effective on small drain clogs. You can’t apply too much pressure on heavy drain clogs. Very nicely built and durable case.

I'm not a pro, but this paid for itself on fist use. Cleared a grease clog about 25' from my kitchen sink. I had already taken a couple of showers in dirty sink water trying to snake it out by hand from a clean out-unsuccessfully. On a Sunday, it would have cost as much to call a plumber. Just follow the instructions carefully-Start at 5psi and add 5 at a time till it clears the clog. I have a double sink and a disposal so I opted to remove the tee, and temporarily added a 45 to have a clear/solid shot. It cleared on the 5'th shot at 25 lbs. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
