I wore this jacket all last winter and i just love it. I am retired and I live on a cul-de-sac in northern Michigan. During the winter I snow blow all six of the driveways of my neighbors and the road all the way up to the next side street so I spend considerable time on my tractor out in the weather. Since I got this jacket, I have not had to bundle up in the usual heavy coats that restrict my motion to stay warm. The jacket is very well made and it is so light weight it's almost like wearing a spring jacket. The 12V battery is very compact and it tucks into a pocket in the rear and to the side of the jacket. The jacket has three heat settings and even in the coldest weather, I have not had to go above the medium setting. I have never run out of battery and I have worn it sometimes as long as six to seven hours at a time. I would recommend this jacket to anyone who works outdoors or spends any amount of time outside in the winter.

Really like this jacket. I'm 6'2" and ordered an XL. It was to big so I exchanged for a large. Fit great. Seems to be durable and the warmth from the jacket is great in a chilly day. Seems to be wind proof. Color is great. Would definitely recommend.

I have purchased 3 of these... I bought a Mens Medium jacket for my wife, sister in law and for my father in laws girlfriend. I know these are mens jackets, but I bought them with the theory that they may want to layer underneath the jacket. THE ONLY NEGATIVE is that the battery pack lives in a dedicated pocket on the left side of your back. Most of the time this is not an issue, but if you sit it may be uncomfortable. THE ONLY NEUTRAL opinion I have is I wish it had at least one interior pocket. But out of the 3 ladies, only one normally uses an interior pocket so it's a personal preference. Anyway, all 3 of the ladies LOVE these. We do live in North Florida, but my wife has a temperature regulation issue and HAS to have her jacket going outside. I did try my old, tired M12 battery and it lasted about 30 minutes. The NEW M12 battery lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. That isn't very useful though because my wife had both heating options on high 'most' of the time. You have high/medium/low for chest/back heat and also high/medium/low for shoulder heat, in essence 6 levels of heat and she had it on level 6... Then would turn it off... So I don't really know how long she had it on level 6 heat. A normal person using chest/back heat on medium would likely get several hours (guessing 4 hours) out of a single battery. I do take my old battery with her new battery when we go out. She starts on the old battery then we swap to the new one when it gets depleted. She also loves the fact that the battery charger included with the jacket has a USB outlet so we can use the battery to charge phones. I have a USB powered LED camping light, we haven't used it for that but I am expecting that it will work well. My wife has been stopped 3 different times by other ladies asking about the heated jacket because when it is on the little emblem on the chest is lit. Other people can tell it's a heated jacket and it is really funny how happy my wife is to have other ladies put the jacket on and try it. She is quite popular at the High School football games on a cold Saturday evening. My problem is I haven't been using Milwaukee tools so I have a whole line of 20V tools and I am seriously considering going to the M12. It'll be an expense and I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, but the Milwaukee brand is much better than the brand I have now. But that isn't related to the jacket I suppose. The battery charger also charges other M12 batteries and it does so by plugging in any standard micro USB cable.... So it gives you more options if you have other batteries you want to charge. Like other Milwaukee tools it'll show you how much charge is remaining too. In summary, yes, it's a nice jacket. I would think it'd be great for anybody south of the Mason Dixon Line. If you live in PA and expect this to be your winter go-to then maybe you are just more cold tolerant than my Florida blood can understand. But the 6 levels of heat on demand, the quick swap battery for any other M12 battery, the phone charger... Can't beat this jacket.

I bought this for my son-in law for Christmas since he is always cold. It warms up very quickly which is nice. The jacket is exactly as pictured. In my opinion not its more of a liner if you were thinking of working in it I'd recommend one of their other jackets. It is about the weight of a puffy coat so I suppose it could be worn alone b ut I would use it as a liner inside your coat.

This is a great looking, comfortable jacket and even without the battery heat turned on it’s very warm. This jacket is as nice as any that I’ve worn from outdoors clothing companies. It’s comfortable and thick but fits really well and isn’t restrictive. It’s plenty warm down to freezing temperatures without the heat turned on but when you do turn it on it’ll keep you comfortable in any weather. The battery pack is a little annoying at first, especially if you wear the jacket while driving, but you get used to it really quickly

I've taken this jacket out on a couple of hunting trips out here in Vermont, and while it hasn't gotten all that cold just yet, the jacket has worked perfect. First morning out was about 36 degrees, and sitting still with just the shoulder warmers on, I was comfortable. I went with the 2xl which based on the sizing should have fit just about perfect, and it fits well, but, at least for me, I won't be able to put much for layers underneath it. The kit comes with the jacket, the battery, and the charger. The buttons are easy to get to, sitting on the left side of the chest, with both the main heater and shoulder heater having 3 modes, and the battery pack sits on the lower left side of your back, which I barely noticed, if at all. I can't say for sure how long it will last, but I ran it for about 4 hours the first day I was out.

This is a very nice jacket that is light enough to wear when it isn't quite freezing outside as well as being very comfortable. Now the big pluses come into the picture, it comes with a battery that heats the jacket up with three different heat levels and it also has a separate control button for the pockets as well. It isn't really bulky to where you can't move when you are trying to get some work done. I would highly recommend this jacket and the style isn't bad either, pick yourself one up you will be glad you did this winter.

Milwaukee Heated Gear Quilted Jacket Model M12 with rechargeable battery pack and usb cable Country of origin - China My experience with the Milwaukee brand is probably the same as yours - it's "stuff that works" This quilted jacket is no exception. The shell, filling and lining are 100% polyester, according to the label tag. Sleeve openings are secured by a wide band of internal elastic, to reduce cold winds going up your arms. See sleeve detail pic. Sleeve length (size L) works for a guy with 34 inch arms. Heat settings are adjusted via a logo-button over the left chest and provide an audible snap when engaged. M12 RED LITHIUM CP2.0 battery The battery pack is accessed via a zippered pocket at the rear. The cables to and from the battery are heavy duty and high quality, consistent with the Milwaukee brand. My personal experience with this item was marred by one minor detail - the power unit easily fits into the battery pocket, but Does Not Fit into the area reserved for the battery _within_ the pocket (a velcro enclosure - see pics). Consequently, the large battery will rattle around, un-secured, in the back pocket. Also, while the battery is welcome when the jacket heating function is engaged, it's storage pocket (near my kidneys) is uncomfortable when seated in the truck.

I got this Men's Large M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Olive Green Heated Quilted Jacket as a under layer for my motorcycle commute in spring and fall. The jacket heats up quickly and with it' three settings can be adjusted to just the right temperature. The jacket comes with a M12 battery and a wall-USB charger and USB cable. The battery can also be charged in a regular M12 tool charger, which is a little quicker. The pocket in the back for the battery pack at first feels a little funny, but I quickly got used to the little bulge. Really not a problem. The jacket is light weight and feels good. I like that it can be washed and even go into the dryer.

This is a very good and light-weight Milwaukee heated jacket. It fits really well (Medium size) as I've bad a previous issue where another Medium Milwaukee jacket that fit like a Large size. The best thing about this jacket is that it is comfortable and flexible so it allows you to move freely. The battery goes in the back pocket so it does get in the way sometimes when driving for example, but it's not very bulky so you can still manage. The jacket really keeps you warm when you activate the heat. The three settings (blue, white, red) give you the right amount of heat and you can feel it on your chest and back.

I love this jacket. It's light enough to wear when it's chilly and powerful enough to keep you warm when its really cold. The cut and fit of the jacket has been what I like the best about it as it doesn't restrict movement and I can more safely perform more physically challenging outdoor tasks with out the excess weight and bulk of a heavier coat. The battery lasts for several hours and has reinforced connection points for durability

This is the second Milwaukee heated jacket I've owned.  (The other is a Toughshell) Not surprisingly this one is warmer due to the insulation and I actually think the fit is better too. The cut feels a little more slim which I think helps with heat retention and I think it looks better too. Speaking of - I think the color is great and design is nice. Feels equally at home outdoors, a job site, or just out and about. The controls remain easy to use, even with gloves. Unfortunately I've already had the fabric tear on me right around the pocket. I can't place how it happened, there was no incident I can place to cause this. The ripstop fabric did it's job in preventing a full on tear, but still the jacket is still quite new and use has been light. Makes me worry about durability so my suggestion would be if you plan work hard and play hard in your jacket, checkout the Toughshell over this. (as the name would suggest) If your use is a little more light duty this seems like it should be fine.

Comfortable, warm and cozy are all words I would use to describe this jacket. Even before putting on the dual-zone heat, the jacket is very comfortable and warm and blocks the wind well. The battery is bulky and a little uncomfortable at first, but I soon forgot that it was there and even wore it in the truck, seat belted in with no problem. The heating zones are easy to manipulate via the shoulder controls, even while wearing heavy gloves. One zone controls the shoulder heat and the other the body of the jacket. They operate independently or in unison and both have multiple temperature settings (high, medium and low). The battery has a “fuel gauge” on it and can also be used to recharge a cell phone at the same time the jacket is on. Very comfortable on a cold day. Very happy with it.

This MILWAUKEE MEN'S 3X-LARGE M12 12-VOLT LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS OLIVE GREEN HEATED QUILTED JACKET KIT WITH (1) 2.0AH BATTERY AND CHARGER came quickly and well packed. The jacket looks great and is roomy. It is heavy enough to wear unheated and the cut doesn't restrict movement when I'm working. I also have a milwaukee heated "hoodie" , and it works well but is a little restricting and easily wet in ANY weather. This jacket is much better for my work environment and had I got it first, I wouldn't get the hoodie style at all. I don't know what the fabric treatment is, but it sheds water. The quick heat feature is very nice and didn't realize that it existed and now that i know about it , I won't buy another heated jacket with out it !!! The battery and charger set up has been upgraded over my other one and now looks like it will really hold up over time.

I wouldn't buy this again, unless it was discounted. The battery works well, it heats up the chest quickly and lasts long enough between a few heavy uses, but the battery is heavy and weighs down the back of the jacket. Plus riding in a car, with the seat belt tight, is not comfortable at all on the back. Yes you can adjust the battery a bit, but it's annoying. If you need a warmer jacket for sitting in a stand or on an ice bucket, this will do the job. If you're looking for an every day commuting/bus jacket, look for another option.

Milwaukee Men's Large M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Olive Green Heated Quilted Jacket Kit with (1) 2.0Ah Battery and Charger This jacket works very well. It has two zones that can be controlled independently. The fist zone is the chest. The second is the back and shoulders. Milwaukee says this model reaches optimal heat 3 times faster than prior model. I can not confirm this but can state it gets warm faster than I expected. The jacket is made from a washable polyester. I were a large in everything but the large jacket is a bit snug for me. To wear it comfortably I need to only wear a long sleeve tee shirt. The battery charges fast and everything needed to charge comes with the jacket. The jacket really makes a difference in comfort when you are outside in the cold.

When I received the jacket the battery had a two light charge on it. With the USB wall plug as a charger it took 1 hour till the third light came on. With the 110v charger (not included) only took 20 minutes till the 4th light came on. The on/off switch and heat switch. Red=High, White=Medium, Blue=Low. The battery is placed on the left side in a pocket about where your kidney is. The adjustable waste cords help keep the wind from coming up into the inside of the jacket. Has a USB output plug on the battery for charging devices like phones. You can store the USB wall charger and cord in the same pocket with the battery so you will always have it when needed. Very comfortable jacket to wear. Without the heater turned on it does a good job keeping you warm. Battery is interchangeable with older jackets and the older batteries will work on the newer jackets.

FAST HEAT and versatility are my favorite features of these new jackets. By “fast,” I mean you can feel warmth within twenty seconds! I timed it with my sweep hand. That’s one of the things that makes this so versatile. Wear only this jacket on autumn days when mornings are cool but mid-day is warmer. When you need a little extra warmth for that long walk outside, or just short trip to-and-from your vehicle, this is great. You carry less weight but can always feel warm. That’s why I think this would be a great jacket for any delivery person! The material is smooth and slightly slippery, which is another feature. This is intended to be worn under a winter jacket as part of a layering system. Because the fabric is so lightweight and smooth, it easily fits beneath my heavy winter jacket, but it doesn’t make me feel confined… just impervious to wind and cold. I have the other heavy-duty outdoor jacket by Milwaukee too. That is also very good, but it is intended for use alone, or with layers underneath. This jacket provides warmth where you want it most, upper back, chest and shoulders. And because it is the under-layer, the outer coat retain that heat. I particularly like it when I need to get in and out of my car frequently, as for shopping trips or outdoor projects where I go in-and-out a lot. I can turn the heat OFF when inside the house or car, but turn it ON when outside for those brief walks. The zippers are large enough to work easily, but they’re just a bit too small to work with gloves. Other than that, I can’t think of anything I don’t love about this new design. As always, the colored lights look cool and get a lot of favorable comments. My wife likes mine so well, she ordered one in her size for herself!

High Tech Outerwear from Milwaukee - My main intention for getting this coat was for enduring sports events and riding by motor scooter. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the coat and found out all the features. It comes with the M12 Lithium volt battery system and charger. The charger is a standard micro USB port, but there is a standard USB port also on the battery. The battery has its own zipper pocket on the side facing the rear. There are 3 heat settings, 2 heat sections you control on the front upper chest by pressing a control buttons multiple time. It illuminates either red, white or blue for the different heat settings. The dual heating elements are located in chest back and shoulders and it claims a battery life of up to 8 hours depending on the setting. Upon turning it on, you will feel the jacket starting to warm up in a matter of minutes. There is no heat in the arm areas. I prefer a roomy jacket and feel that the sizes run a little towards the smaller size. I wear a 2XL and found the 3XL was a better fit. A very comfortable jacket and a lightweight feel. You can put the jacket in the standard washer and dryer, there is no special cleaning instructions required – a plus. The outer layer is water and wind resistant, but they state that the warming element should not be used if the inner liner gets wet while wearing it. The only negative thing I found about the jacket was the operating instructions on charging the battery – but that may be the operato

This Mens3s 3x Milwaukee M12 12Volt Lithium-ion Cordless Olive Green heated Quilted jacket kit with (1) 2.0 AH Battery and charger was a very good choice. It took a bit to figure out how to hook up the charger to charge the battery as the directions were not very clear. But once i did it charged quickly and and when connected heated up the coat quickly as well. it mostly heats the lower back and the chest areas of the body which are the parts that usually get cold first so they made a good choice there as well. This coat is made to be layered under a another coat or worn alone. the batter is held in a pock at the back of the coat and the pocket is zippered. as long as your working it do not think it would be a bother but for sitting in a truck it might be a bit uncomfortable but could easily be removed and put in a side pocket . It says a larger battery can be purchased for extended run times. but not really sure you would need it. i will include pics of all the parts and where they go below. i found the coat did run a bit small so you might want to try it on .

I have an older vest of this same type of product. This one heats up much faster and the battery lasts slightly longer. Polyester fabric is light but warm. I have no idea how the carbon fiber heating elements work but they do an excellent job. They do state you can get up to 8 hours on a charged battery but that is a stretch. It depends on the heat setting. I did wear this jacket early in the morning to test it. Really heats up fast and the heat feels more uniform than in the past. I brought it into the house, hung it up and tested the remaining battery life. If you start on high for 17 minutes then switch to low you do get 7 hours and 42 minutes of battery life. Medium to high settings you start to lose the charge around the 6 hour and 22 minute timeframe. If you start on low and leave it on low you will get right around 8 hours. We work a lot outside on the 10 acre farm we have. When we come inside for lunch I will recharge the battery which will give me the 10-12 hours we need when working outside. Will be nice when I walk the dogs on the cold mornings and cold evenings. I know people in very cold areas will laugh but we are in Northern Florida and when the temperature drops to 65 I need a jacket. Hey, you live here and your blood thins out. Heating zones are chest, back and shoulders. You have three heat settings. I start on high then drop the setting to low once we start working. The polyester is great at giving you wind and rain resistance. It is reinforced at the high wear areas. As for size the large is perfect for me. I can even wear a flannel shirt under the jacket to hold in the warmth. I expect the washing to be the same as my vest. I wash on gentle and dry on low heat without any issues. It takes some wearing to get used to the jacket but once you do it is fairly comfortable. Some slight restricted movement but not much. The battery is easy to charge. Bottom line is this is one of the best ideas Milwaukee came up with! I absolutely love it!

MEN'S 2X-LARGE M12 12-VOLT LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS OLIVE GREEN HEATED QUILTED JACKET KIT WITH (1) 2.0AH BATTERY AND CHARGER I wear 2XL and this fit me perfectly. I was impressed with this jacket being lightweight and comfortable but I do think the pocket that holds the Battery and charger should be on the front instead of the back. It’s not comfortable having it on the back side or to remove when the jacket is on. If they move it I think they have a winner. Multiple zones and three heat settings seem great. Just push and hold the emblem on the front to turn on and off. Just press to cycle through settings. Red-high white-medium. Blue-low Not cold here yet but it does heat of quickly. Can’t wait to use this outside this winter. See the pics

Very nice jacket (e.g., easy to clean, water resistant, lightweight, etc.) with lots of possibilities and one other. First off it is “true to size.” I wear a medium size normally and this jacket fitted me comfortably. I tried the jacket with a tee-shirt and sweatshirt and fit was good. I was able to maneuver without being restricted. When I’m out working in the cold weather, I like light and to be able to move freely. If you like loose fit get a large. This is also the kind of jacket when hanging out with the guys in someone’s unheated garage, you can dial the heat up in your jacket – low, medium and high. Or, at a job site doing work or estimates where you are in and out of your vehicle. The other application is the 12 volt battery and charger. I use the 18 volt tools by Milwaukee and this will give me the opportunity to try a 12 volt tool. A few times I could have used a smaller and lighter tool whether at work or home. So I like to give that series a try too. Also, I have not tried it yet, but I believe you can power/charge other devices with the battery and cable.

I have owned a Milwaukee heated jacket in the past and love it but it was camouflage. Great for hunting, not so much for day to day activities. This jacket looks excellent and I get compliments almost every time I wear it. Looks good. Fits good. And is super warm on back and chest. Finding myself having to turn the heat down most of the time, but that will just save more on battery. I have an extra battery and swap them around on the charger every time I wear it. Speaking of that. Be sure to order a battery if you dont already have one. I received a free battery from Home Depot purchase but forgot to click on it in the cart. Customer service told me to return the jacket only to the store when it arrived and to place a new order and include the battery. Seemed kind of like a waste of time and they didnt credit us back correctly on the return. Had to go back twice to clear that up. But jacket is worth buying for sure!

The Milwaukee 12 Volt AXIS Black Heated Quilted Jacket is wind and water resistant. It is nice and light due to the hybrid AXIS ripstop polyester making maneuverability easy, which adds to its versatility and comfort. Additionally, there are two draw stings in the waist band, allowing you the ability to adjust it for your desired fit. Finally, the jacket has two outer pockets, one inside pocket and a low profile battery pocket that is located on the back left side. The battery pack can be slightly uncomfortable when you are driving, but this can be corrected by adjusting the jacket or your position. The jacket provides heat to your shoulders, chest and back through carbon fiber heating elements. An added feature is the quick heat function. This allows the jacket to heat up and distribute the heat throughout the jacket three times faster than previous jackets or competitors. The jacket has three settings, which is easily visible from the M12 logo located on the front. The settings are as follows: low - blue, medium - white, high - red (see pictures below). The battery pack has an indication light on the bottom of it allowing you to see how much battery life is remaining. Another great feature is the USB port on the 12 volt battery that can be used to charge your smart phone or other device. This jacket is light weight, comfortable, flexible and packed with great features, which makes it ideal for anyone, whether you are working out in the elements or walking through a Christmas light display. I highly recommend this jacket. It is well worth the investment.

Good quality jacket with heating built in! Wind and water resistant. The jacket is nicely made and a good quality. It has three pockets, one on each side and one inside the left chest area that is ideal for a cell phone. All the zippers are marked YKK. In addition to the three pockets, there is a separate battery pocket on the left side, slightly to rear. The battery can get in the way slightly when sitting in a vehicle. The kit includes an M12 battery (2.0 Amp hour), a battery holder, 3 ft. USB charging cable, and USB wall plug charger. The battery holder will show the charge state of the battery and can take any M12 battery. The USB cable looks durable and of high quality. There are indicator lights to show when the charging of the battery is complete. The jacket is nice and light and is easy to wear without it getting in your way. If the temperature gets too low, then one can switch it on, so this light jacket is actually very flexible in terms of use. There are two heating zones, shoulders, and or, chest and back. Each zone can be switched on and off independently of the other, and each has three settings: High (Red LED indicator) Medium (White LED indicator) Low (Blue LED indicator) I have not yet had to run the jacket for more than an hour, the box states it will last up to 8 hours, presumably that is on the blue setting. One switches zones on or off with a two second press on the button on the left chest. Single clicks of the buttons cycle through the temperature settings, high-medium-low and back to high etc. I got this in October when it was not yet below freezing. I found the ‘high’ setting too hot! There is no hood. Jacket is washer and dryer safe! The battery holder can also be used to power or charge some other device such as a cell phone from the M12 battery! - a very useful feature given how cell phone batteries often struggle to keep their charge in extreme cold. Highly recommended for people working outside for long periods in the winter. Jacket made in China Charger made in China Batteries made in Malaysia or Korea with additional processing in China.

I just received my new Milwaukee M12 Heated Axis jacket and it feels like backing up to a warm wood stove when you turn on the 2 heating zones. You can really feel the Quick-Heat function across your back, chest and the top of your shoulders when you start both zones by holding the down each button for ~3 seconds. These buttons are located on the front of the jacket and are called M12 & Dual Heat. Once heating is started, a quick tap on each button will change the heat settings from high (red), medium (white) and low (blue). To turn off the heat just push and hold down the button for 3 seconds. Changing heat levels and turning on and off the heat is easy with a little practice. I love the jacket and it arrived just in time for our first snow storm. I plan on using the jacket when I’m outdoors plowing my ½ mile driveway after a snow storm. I normally wear a 2XL jacket and this Milwaukee M12 Heated jacket fits just right. I have looked over all of the stitching and didn’t see a single flaw. There are 3 outside pockets, a left and right cargo pockets and a battery pocket in the back. All of these pockets have zipper pulls. There is also an inside chest pocket on the left side. There are also loops on the end of each sleeve for “sleeve keepers” if the jacket is being layered with another garment that has a hook or button in the sleeve. There is also a loop on the back of the neck of the jacket to hang it on a hook. I really like the duel purpose battery charger. It can be used to charge the battery, heat the jacket and also be used to charge a cell phone. When the battery/charger are plugged into the jacket and stored in the back pocket of the jacket it can be felt when sitting in the tractor seat but it’s not uncomfortable. The jacket is a little pricey but if your working outside and do not want to be cold this jacket could be the answer.
