Great Bit! I recently added an Cordless Impact Drill to my garage and have been using my usual bit tip holder and the various tips that applied. But I saw these and gave them a try. I'm glad I did. The Impact just works better with these types of bits in them. The quick connect and removal is great. I love how these bits lock into the receiver. The Milwaukee Bits have been phenomenal to use. They seem to handle my abuse without showing the wear my other bits (not made for impact drivers) do. I am impressed and will add more to my toolbox. The # 3 bit sits well into the larger screws.

The MILWAUKEESHOCKWAVE 3-1/2 in. Phillips #3 Impact Duty Bit 2-Pack is an excellent addition to any tool kit. These are 3-1/2 inches long so make sure you have the needed room when deciding on purchasing. They are engineered to be the most durable, best fitting driver bits on the market. The Phillips bits feature Wear Guard Tip for increased wear resistance, which protects the fit over the life of the bit. The impact driver bits have an optimized Shockzone for each tip type and length of driver bit to absorb peak torque and prevent breaking. The MILWAUKEESHOCKWAVE Impact Duty driver bits are built to deliver users extreme durability for the most demanding applications.

These #2 Philips impact bits are high precision, allowing to fit a #2 size head very well. This avoids the bit from slipping, even under difficult conditions. I like these bits because their tips do not wear out, as some of the softer steel bits do. Always a good grip on the Philips head. The necked down section reduces the maximum torque as it allows a small amount of twisting. Some of the newer impact drivers could strip heads off the screws under peak torque.

The Milwaukee 3.5 inch #2 Phillips screwdrivers bits are fantastic. I drove a half dozen 4-inch-long exterior screws one right after another and the bit didn’t strip or spin out once. With other bits I would have to switch to a shorter impact bit for longer screws otherwise the torque would snap the bit. With the SHOCKWAVE bits you get the added flexibility of a longer bit and all the strengthen of a shorter bit. This is my new go to Phillips driver bit.

MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE IMPACT DUTY 3-1/2 IN. PHILLIPS #3 ALLOY STEEL SCREW DRIVER BIT (2-PACK) Country of origin - Hecho en China Whenever I see the delivery person with a box that says Milwaukee on the side, my heart skips a beat. I haven't had a bad experience with their products yet. This time, it's a pair of impact driver bits with the broader #3 Phillips head See pics for two different fasteners - the deck set fit and the other set required a finer (probably less durable) tip. They say these have "up to 50x life" but realistically, they'll be lost or stolen before they wear out. Recommended, of course. Peace - Deeve

I found The PH3 impact rated bits to be very strong and durable and held up in most of my impact testing through 4x4 pine posts. As I understand it is pH three bits are supposed to be used in very specific scenarios with a very limited availability of screws. They are designed to pop out if too much torque is applied, If I’m understanding this correctly, and due to the fat “nose” portion of this, it fits in very few screw heads. I found it seemed to jump out with excessive torque applied, so it is somewhat counterintuitive to use an impact wrench, but it does the job if you apply enough downward force.

As a constant do it yourself person, A power screwdriver is essential, An impact tool even better. Problem is the screwdriver bits I have been using get chewed up pretty quickly and I am constantly replacing them. The Milwaukee shockwave phillips bit is quite different from all of my others. The shaft absorbs some of the shock and smoothly help remove stubborn screws without rounding out the screw head and creating more work for me. It seems to be will made and I am optimistic that they will last quite a while.

I have a few of these Shockwave bits and really like them. The tips really do seem to hold up well - there is nothing worse than the "teeth" getting worn down when screwing a bunch of tough steel screws. I particularly like the 2" bits. With the shorter bits, I have to use some sort of extension to get them to fit in my quick connect accessory. I highly recommend these lines of bits

The Milkwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty 2 inch square #1 Alloy Steel Screwdriver bit 2 pack is top notch. I have been using Milwaukee products for years and they never seem to disappoint. The have a nice length and great absorption to prevent breakage. The steel alloy prolongs the life of the bit so you will be using it for awhile. Also, has a nice fit to prevent stripping.

I like the hardened tip on the Milwaukee Shockwave PH2 bit. It seems less likely to cam out and deform the screw head when I hit very hard wood. While the quarter inch standard hex shaft fits typical drill and driver chucks it has a retention groove to snap right into my quick connect impact driver which gives me a shorter tool than a drill so I can get power in to smaller spaces while the 3 1/2 inch bit length lets me reach deep enough to get to recessed screws like inside electrical boxes. The Shockwave feature that absorbs peak torque to reduce bit breakage also feels like it reduces the peak torque hitting the screw and that reduces the potential for stripping the screw out of the hole, particularly when using a couple hundred foot-pound impact driver on a little bitty screw. The bits are magnetic which makes it easier to get screws into tight locations but could induce magnetism in the screws which, in some rare applications, could cause problems. The PH2 size is clearly marked at the base of the bit, which is made in China. The two pack gives me a backup but the first bit doesn't feel like it is going to wear out any time soon.

This is a great drill bit. I highly recommend it. The magnetic tips are a lot stronger then some other magnetic drill bits I’ve had in the past. I prefer using my impact gun versus a regular power drill since it is quick and easy to swap out the drill bits. The down side is, I normally run through a lot of bits from stripping. These bits have definitely lasted a lot longer then my previous ones.

These are much better than the stubby square bits. They fit tight into the wood screw driving square and allow you to get a more precision starting point by being able to hold the longer length. The shockwave shank helps to absorb the torque to prevent breaking off the head of a screw. The tip has been specially harden to drive over a thousand more screws than other brands (I have not driven that many with this bit yet but that is their claim and and after a hundred or so I think they will last longer. The quarter inch drive fits solid into drill.

I bought the Milwaukee Shockwave 3-1/2 in. Phillips # 3 impact Duty Ally Steel screwdriver bit. They were shipped to my house in a pretty big box compared to the size of the bits but there was plenty of bubble wrap inside so they got to me in perfect condition. I don't have much to say other than you're buying the best bits out there they last 50x more than other bits on the market these #3 Phillips bits are 3-1/2 long so you can reach farther with them. I also come to like the Shockwave technology it helps the bit last and not snap in half. I also want to add the tips fit perfectly in a number 3 Phillips screw. I recommend these Milwaukee Shockwave bits 100%

I have learned a number of practical things through my woodworking hobby. One of the most important is recognizing which tools perform best. Cost is important, yet it is not the only answer. A quality tool will more than recover its cost in performance and time saved. The MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE IMPACT DUTY 3-1/2 IN. SQUARE #1 ALLOY STEEL SCREW DRIVER BIT (2-PACK) is just such a tool. I would recommend it and I will buy it again.

These Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE 3-1/2 in. Square #1 Impact Duty Alloy Steel Screwdriver Bit (2-Pack) are a great addition to the tool kit set. They are made of a strong steel and are heat treated to last through wear and tear. You can always count of the name brand products from Milwaukee. They fit easily into the end if a drill as well. I would definitely recommend this set of drill bits to have in your set for when you need them.

These Milwaukee shockwave #2 square bits are my go to bits for pocket screws, these #2 square bits are awesome and last longer then any other square bit I’ve used. Learned to spend a little more and save a lot more, with these shockwave bits I’ve had a lot less rounding of screw heads so saved more screws. I own a lot of a different brand of tools and used their bits, had to many bit head failures and rounding of the bit head, pickup some Milwaukee shockwave bits and was totally surprised and happy how well they held up. Use these 3 1/2” square #2 bits when pocket screwing 2x4 or 2x6’s for table tops and braces to hide screws, I will only use Milwaukee shockwave bits or any other Milwaukee bits for their durability and strength. Hands down I would recommend Milwaukee shockwave products and bits, you will definitely save money not only on bits but screws also.

These Milwaukee square #1 bits make such a easier way to use my pocket screws, and with the 2” bit they work great when I make picture frames or shadow boxes. I use a different brand of tools and use 4v tools to make my small projects, with a 2” square bit makes it ease to get into tight spots. I made the switch over a year ago and use nothing but Milwaukee shockwave or and bits from Milwaukee, I noticed a lot less round out screws with Milwaukee’s bits, they are just so much better and notice I don’t go threw a lot of screws compared to Phillips # 2 screws.

I used to think of screwdrivers, and screwdriver bits, as simple things. Some of them were indeed simple, and others, as meticulously engineered as the Shockwave Impact Duty bits from Milwaukee. These come two to a pack, and this review will be done long before I wear out the first one. The only thing remotely normal about these bits is the hexagonal base that fits my impact driver – but even this is a custom alloy. The business end (a #1 Phillips tip) is precisely machined with what Milwaukee calls a “Wear Guard Tip” that protects the fit of the tip for much longer life. Between those two ends is a red “shock zone” that is purported to absorb peak torque shock and further extend the life of the bit. Does the product match the hype? I took some small wood screws (small because this #1 bit wouldn’t fit a larger screw) and drove them into scrap hardwood as a test, without pilot holes or lubing the screws beforehand. The results were great: The screws entered the wood and the bits didn’t jump out of the screw heads. In a real-world test, I had some vehicle screws that I was having trouble removing with a manual screwdriver, and again the Shockwave bits proved their mettle. If you have an impact driver, these bits (in a variety of sizes) will make your life better.

Having the right size bit for the screw is the only way to prevent stripping out the head while driving it. This bit has a great grip and the tip is made from metal that does not wear out quickly like other, normal bits. The 3 1/2" length also gives you a bit more room so that you can see what you are working in. The chuck to the driver is back far enough that it does not block your view and it also lets the light shine on the screw better.

Fit perfectly. No striping. They are heavier than the previous ones I purchased. I actually used some rusty screws I had to attach the hinges to my lawn equipment building. Not one skip occured. I'm a firm believer in the brand and these ph #3,s didn't disappoint. Wear guard tip bits honestly do fit the screw heads like a champ. Try em for yourself. You won't be sorry.

These are the best bits that we have ever had. I have used square bits on shelf brackets in our closets and in the garage. I have also used them in crafts that I made. The bits don’t slip in the screw. One of the best uses for this type of screw that I have found is where you don’t want someone to remove the item you put up. Most folks don’t have a square screwdriver. These bits are made for continuous use without wearing out and for extreme torque so that they don’t break. The shank is made so that you can set it for 2 lengths for a shorter or longer reach. Everything that we have from Milwaukee is dependable and lasts a long time. They make a nice addition to our tool set.

Within the Milwaukee Shock Wave series of Impact Duty Bits, PH2s are offered in a 2 pack of 3 ½” length. This might be the most common head design found on drywall, wood, and sheet metal screws. Most times, I purchase multi-packs of PH2 short bits because of the constant breakage and shearing of the tip flanges. These bits are designed to fit ¼” hex impact drivers, ¼” Drill driver chucks and quick-lock ¼” chucks. I evaluated their application with both a quick-lock chuck and a 3/8 drill chuck. Size is engraved at the base of the bit shaft. Milwaukee has a branded name for their wear guard tip which boasts a 50x’s longer life than comparable bits. The PH2 head is about the same diameter as the bottom half of the bit shaft. (Although I did not measure it with a micrometer, it is very close.) I was able to counter-sink screws without tearing up the surrounding surface material with the screw bit. The area just behind the tip is noticeably smaller in diameter than the rest of the bit body. This forward area of the bit shaft is designated as the “optimized shock zone” designed to absorb peak torque and thus prevent early breakage. The shock zone is marked in the Milwaukee trademark red for easy reference. The composition of these bits is Alloy76 steel, engineered to life extension of the bit. This product is distributed by Milwaukee Tool, manufactured in China.

I use these everyday at work and for any project i do. I like the square drive bit alot better than the Philips or star drive. I gave four stars because they do work really well until i get a few slips and after that they do start wearing out and there is 2 other kind i use which last longer than this one but not available in store. I mostly use these on small tight spaces when i assemble cabinets. I use them daily with hard woods so they do get alot of wear. To an average person it should last long time.

Just as you don't use a standard socket on an impact wrench, you shouldn't use a standard Philips bit in an impact driver. I learned that the hard way. I have quite a collection of #2 Philips impact bits that are short and generally get the job done. I do occasionally run across a deep-seated screw that requires a little extra reach. These bits perform well for those applications. The Wareguard tip protection keeps the Philips bit from rounding over. Made in China.
