Disappointing Experience with Murray Lawn Mower EX550 Review: I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with the Murray Lawn Mower EX550 and the lack of support from the company. I purchased this lawn mower with a 2-year warranty, but unfortunately, the engine broke after just one year of use. Despite reaching out to the company multiple times for assistance, I have received no response. Bixby, the customer service representative, has been unhelpful and keeps pushing me around. Additionally, when they finally sent out a dealer, they turned out to be unresponsive and requested a $50 fee just to look at the mower. To make matters worse, contacting customer service is an ordeal in itself. Every time I call, I am put on hold for over an hour, only to receive no answer or resolution to my issue. It's incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark and ignored by a company that promises quality products and support. Overall, I cannot recommend the Murray Lawn Mower EX550 or the company behind it. The lack of response and assistance from customer service is unacceptable, and I urge others to reconsider before purchasing

It's a decent mower (although haven't been able to use it yet). It's an early father's day give as his Murray of 21 years has met It's day. He wanted another one and this is what I bought him. The issue is the assembly by Home Depot. Right after we picked it up we saw one of the plastic bezels incorrectly installed...we fixed that. when we got it home, several other assembly issues were found. Bumper was loose, had 2 bolts BARELY threaded in, loose wiring for battery system and barely connected to one post. Deck wheel nut held on by a thread, and many other issues. Have spent nearly 1.5 hours going over everything to fix the issues. And the forward and reverse drive needs adjustments as it takes some force to get it in gear..still have to fix that. Customer support just wants to transfer me around. Difficult to speak to people with no mechanical knowledge. NO I don't want to return it after fixing almost all the issues ourselves! This is an item of need to use now and not go through a lengthy process to get another that's poorly assembled or even worse off. I'm sure the bad day didn't happen on just this one! I'm a mechanic myself and know the talent pool out there not that great, but how do you have something leave like this? Not to mention the guy that drove it on our trailer didn't stop and jammed the bumper right under the trailer cross support. This may have been the last straw with Home Depot. I've included just one photo, but I should have taken one for every issue. Just wish I thought of that before fixing everything. And just to let everyone know, this one star is for Home Depot. I'm sure the mower will be fine.

Very nice mower. Mows my yard really fast got it at a great price I’m very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new riding lawnmower. None of my previous mowers cut my yard as good as this one

It’s cheaper than the Troy Bilt neighborhood rider and much better have installed the bagger, Now it’s a completed unit to where I can bag my lawn all year or whatever needed.

Very simple to put together easy instructions very runs great fast

They leave it in the middle fo yiur driveway - even if you have a clear path to the garage- and they do not care that they block you in. Worst company ever. Very disappinted with Home Depot.

Ordered this mower and looks like they dunked it in saltwater. Engine and other bearings and pulleys were corroded badly. Can't say anything about the product itself. All I can say shame on home Depot for trying to sell me this mower at full retail price. I wouldn't even buy this mower with a $1000 discount on it.

There was rust and corrosion all over the metal. No manual. Towards the end of my first use, the steering wheel popped off. The bolt was missing.

The Murray this one replaced lasted over 20 years. Appears this one is just as sturdy and has a drink holder. Hopefully this Brigs and Straton engine sees 20 years of service.

I only gave a 3 because of the run a round im getting for 3 bolts that was missing from the package.. been on the phone with 7 different people an 2 gave me great info even tho they couldn’t help me but man for 3 bolts is crazy what im going through over here . An I have yet to get the bolts or any type of info on how to get the bolts that im missing .. so I would say if u get it delivered before they leave look over ur manual an make sure all parts are there before they leave cause 1 week later an im still trying to get my bolts

Nice looking, works as well as a $3400.00 riding mower. A lot of complaints about jerking violently when operating. Believe me those complainers do not know proper operation of a clutch, and or throttle control. You can’t go wrong here, price, quality, are at the top.

Great mower! Gets the job done quickly and cleanly. Compact design will come in handy for tight winter storage.

Just picked up my new MT200 and I wanted to get a few cuts done before I submitted a review. After spending a month or so looking it really came down to size, horse power, and ultimately price. Having a 19hp engine was a big part of my decision. The cut was uniform, the lower deck tracked straight and even plus it rides nice. The tractor isn’t too loud, turns on a dime and was perfect for my ¼ acre lot, it cut my lawn care time in half. Overall it just checked all the boxes for the price.

Really impressed with the Murray 42in Lawn Mower! It cuts just fine and is super easy to operate. The look is very sleek as well. Hats off to Murray for this mower! I have nothing but great things to say about it.

I recently purchased this Murray riding lawnmower and couldn't be happier with my decision. The mower is powerful, efficient on fuel, and easy to operate. The seat is comfortable and controls are intuitive. I also appreciate the added features such as "mow-in-reverse" and the ability to adjust the cutting height in 13 different positions (can't have too many!). Overall, this riding lawnmower has exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market.

This mower is excellent! It has cut my mow time down significantly! It even has a tight enough turning radius to maneuver around the sidewalks around our pool! I will definitely be recommending this mower to anyone!

This mower has been one of the best riding lawn mowers I have ever used. It comes in at a very affordable price for all the features that it has. It has 6 speed choices and you can cut all the way down to 1 in. I have a Bermuda so having the ability to get that Bermuda short with my riding mower is a huge plus. Has a great Briggs engine and has been an awesome pick up and I am stoked to continue to use it this spring.

A great riding lawn mower! Very comfortable and with the 42" mowing deck cuts My lawn in no time! The headlights are perfect for when I have to cut the grass early in the morning or late at night. definitely recommend!

Fired right up packaging good does a good job cutting my yard

My husband thoroughly enjoyed using this mower to cut lawn recently. It gives an even cut and cuts our time in half compared to our old push mower.

Was expecting a clean undamaged NEW mower, possibly still crated. But instead recieved what appears to be a dirty, weathered scratch and dent model. I contacted Homedepot, but got no response. However the mower is mechanically performing well after 2 hours of run time.

Strong motor, relatively quiet running. Inconvenient to have to stop & shift gears to increase/reduce speed. Not the most comfortable ride in general, and certainly not meant for comfort when mowing on any type of grade. Ended up returning and buying a push-mower.

Really great low budget mower So pleased!

Arrives completely disassembled. Just getting it off the metal skid plate took an hour. Had I known it required two hours of assembly, I would’ve taken my business elsewhere. It’s bad enough it arrived two weeks later than advertised. I needed it on the day it should’ve arrived. I don’t think I’ll be shopping here in the future.

I love it . From the delivery to the product itself. Great lawn tractor mower. So easy to operate and mow my grass. Id recommend to anyone. My friends are a bit jealous. Love everything about it.
