The quality of the materials is okay. What isn't are the instructions. I'm a mechanical engineer. I can read drawings. But I couldn't make heads or tails of the single-sheet Assembly Instructions with its small B&W pictures. Given that the cost of materials is maybe 1/4 of the purchase price, you'd think the manufacturer could afford a better technical writer and a couple more sheets of paper. I'm not saying they need to be as dead-simple as IKEA or Lego instructions, but these were awful.

I bought the 1500 series. Picked up in store only one box without the side part and any support parts. Waste three hours and $200 labor fee. The factory needs to redesign the wrapping box in case the bad experience happens again!!

Great awning. Takes a little patience to put together but it will provide for a sturdy cover that will last for years. Would buy this again!

Arrived very quickly. People in customer service at the store made it very easy to pick up. It was also very easy to assemble and to install. Waiting for snow to see about the snow rating but other than that very nice awning.

Had good instructions so was easy to put together and install. I would recommend this product.

I purchased the awning not realizing that assembly is required before installation i have not been able to find anyone that can assemble the awning and therefore unfortunately will need to return it unless you have any recommendations Thanks

Perfect awning for covering door to basement.

Almost $500 for two boxes of parts. You have to put it together yourself. For that kind of $ it should of been already put together.

I am still waiting to get it installed. Turned out to be way more expensive than I thought it would be because of my vinyl siding. Big disappointment, but I will get it done soon (maybe Fall) because it is a beautiful awning and I want to have it up and show it off. Plan on getting another one next year as well!!! Love the Home Depot!!!

We purchased two of these awnings to match existing awnings on our home. Nowhere on the website does it say "low-mount," and the photo is not that of a low mount. It was not until we had both awnings assembled that we realized they did not match our existing awnings, and the very low -- almost flat -- pitch of the low-mount model did not shed water as well as we needed. The low mount is a 5-degree pitch, and the standard is 15-degrees. If you have headspace for the standard height sides, you should keep shopping or ask about special-ordering the standard height!

The awning look like something for a doll house. It was small, the sides were extremely short no coverage from the weather. Returned the item

They work great save wear and tear off your door. Prevent rain from coming inside as well.

Arrived in two boxes, would get five stars if the instructions were better. Thanks to YouTube watched someone else put one together and it was simple after that. Does the job seems sturdy enough.

Very pleased. Took about 2 hours start to finish and looks good. Can't wait to see how it protects the door and porch in bad weather.
