I have this knife (and several others), since 3 years ago. Still is good as new, the grip is incredible useful. I have use this in any kind of projects, you name it.

I’ve been buying these knives for about 6 years now. And I still really like this knife with its quick lock and the piece of metal on the back of it comes in really handy quite often. I believe I am still using the first knife I bought about 6 years ago. Really good knife!

This knife is super sharp and comfortable. Pictures don’t do justice on how strong and thick the blades are. Love the knife I’ve picked up a few of them. This company also has great customer relations that’s another reason why I support them.

Not only is this an amazing knife but the company has absolutely impeccable service. All I had to do was contact them via Instagram and they sent me a free knife to try out before I decided to purchase a bunch of different items that they created. I own my own business and we do many different things; therefore it is an absolute must to have so many different variations of utility knifes on hand at all times; Olfa makes this possible! Great quality, durable, sharp and reliable. I would recommend these products/company to any and everyone!

Love the way it feels in my hands

I have been using an LA-X for painting and wallpaper for about 4 years and can't think of anyway to improve this knife.

Entered to win this as a free sample about a month ago. I do facilities maintenance so I cover several trades. On first inspection I noticed blades are very sharp. Used it to cut thick beads of caulk out of decking and it performed very well. It is very helpful to be able to change the length of your cutting edge to get in extra deep in materials. This is something I noticed right away as a huge advantage over my utility knife. Ergonomics are great. Much better than my all steel folding utility knives. Very comfortable to grip and no signs yet of rubber wearing off despite being in an out of pockets/ pouches and grinding against different materials. After this I used it on a simpler task of cutting some ceiling tiles. Again, being able to extend the edge proved extremely useful as it allowed for a much cleaner and deeper cut on the show edges of the ceiling tiles. The blades last just as long as my DeWalt utility blades I normally use for tiles. Tiles really beat up an edge. This will now be my go to ceiling tile knife. The last task I have used this for is peeling off a fiberglass wrap off of a pipe from a failed attempted repair. Similar material to what Dr's use to wrap broken limbs in. Right away the tips broke on both blades I used. Using the meat of the blade I had no issues. This was a real test for this knife. Although the tip broke, the rest of the blades held up fine for the task. It took many many cuts to remove this material. Also the knife was covered in water during this and still shows no signs of rust. Breaking down boxes and cutting plastic shipping ties is no task at all for this knife, effortlessly done. The blades are very thin so even when they start to dull they still perform well. Honestly I highly recommend it. I would buy this knife if I lost it. I already bought some replacement blades but I have only used 4 of the original that came with the knife so I am sure the 10 pk will last me some time.

I have used this knife on a daily basis since I received it. The first thing I noticed was how much better it felt in my hand compared to other utility knives I have used in the past. The increment stops are very positive and tactile. The blade was noticeably sharper and has stayed sharp. I have used this knife for everything from opening packages, cleaning splinters from pocket holes after drilling, to cutting templates in cardboard and plastics. It has stood up to every job I have put it to. I'm a believer.

I frequently used Olfa L and the upgrade retractable action is worth it. I'm not necessarily fond of the new grip since it attract tissue dirt in pants pockets. Now if model L can have the same sliding mechanism :)

I'm an electrician, homeowner, hobbyist, diy'er, and husband and father of three!! I use this thing ,believe it or not, practically as an EDC!! I keep one in my tool bag, one in my tool box, and one at the house/garage!! I've practically used this knife for about EVERY SINGLE application you could use a knife for... AND IM in LOVE!!!! It's just without our a doubt the best"utility" knife on the market but it is so versatile and I use it all day everyday!!!great job Olfa!!!!

I used the knife initially to open boxes, then I had a modelmaking project due and I decided to give it a shot. The locking mechanism works really nicely and my foamcore was cut at a perfect 90 with the ruler. I use a smaller Olfa knife most of the time, 9mm, but this one packs a serious punch (it's sharp, too!) The pick is a little weird and I don't have a lot of use for it, but it'll come in handy one day. I'm very satisfied with the knife.

This. Knife. Rocks. Seriously, I didn't think it possible to fall in love with a knife, but oh how was I wrong. It's the sharpest knife I have ever used, and it stays that way. You could likely cut through a car with it. Apart from the knife part, the utility piece on the end is the most useful thing I could ask for. Paint cans, staple removal, screw tightening/loosening, crevis cleaning, you name it. I use it way more than I ever thought I would, and I definitely thought it was a gimmick, but I won't carry a different utility blade again. If you are on the fence, buy it. If you dont want it, buy it. It'll change your mind all on its own, amd you won't believe you used anything different!

There are times when cheaper tools are acceptable, utility knives are not one. I always buy a quality Olfa blade for safety and durability.

This knife is used inside my race car trailer for all kinds of troubleshooting.

I was a bit skeptical at first thinking that this was just another ordinary box cutter but boy was I wrong. The build quality of the OLFA LA-X is superb from the outside construction all the way down to the blade. The ergonomics and the anti-slip cushion grip of tool feels great in the hand and the precision of the blade is razor sharp.

This blade is great for me at work. I'm a refrigeration technician and I use the blade for multiple areas like wiring stripping wires and removing old electrical wiring also ine the pry end as a screw driver helps tons overall it's an amazing blade....

I am normally leary of utility knifes where you have to break off the the point to get a new tip. Generally because the point breaks off by itself a long before it dull. Not this knife. I used for around a month doing every thing. Opening boxes, scoring drywall, cutting insulation, cutting plastic, and cutting out old fiber board. All on the same tip. I did even try to protect the blade. It stayed usable about twice as long as the normal blades I am used to. And the tip did not break off. This unit was made in Japan not China. The quality different is very noticeable. For the price and for twice the price for that matter, this one of the best knifes i have used in a long time.

This utility knife is extremely well built. Solid, nice weight and balance. The blade is very sharp and works well in situations that require a utility knife of this sort (cutting boxes, light plastic, tape, carpet, etc...). I included a pic on how to change the blade. Basically push up on the tab (as indicated), while sliding the blade out. The two pieces come apart and the blade can be changed. Reverse the procedure to install the new blade. Overall, this is a quality knife and I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking in this category.

The concept of a snap off knife and an autolock is a great idea but for almost 10 bucks, I do not see the value. The knife is very convenient and has a nice rubber grip handle but it only comes with one blade. For 10 bucks, it should have at least 5 replacement blades that are spring fed as needed. A good old fashioned utility knife is about 7 bucks and comes with a pack of blades. You can never have enough sharp blades.

You cannot have enough knives or cutters. This cutter will handle just about any medium or light job. My wife took this one over immediately for her art projects. Being an art teacher she is constantly making projects for classes. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver around making circles or cutting out patterns for school class projects. She keeps this one in her art supply purse she carries to class everyday.
