This is an excellent strainer/stopper. It is very easy to maintain.

Works as advertised, seals well and drains when you turn the center knob.

It won't stay open. The force of the water makes it close so it is impossible to run water while it is in the sink. I am returning it.

I cannot rate this product as it did not fit my sink so I had to return it.

This is an excellent replacement sink strainer. It is unlike traditional strainers in that it is not designed to fit only in one particular style of drain. Rather, it can be used in any drain -- you simply drop it in and use it. Just like that. The trick is that its use as a stopper does not depend on it engaging with the drain -- tightening the built-in stopper causes the bottom of the strainer to seal against the top, thereby sealing the sink and allowing it to fill with water. And the seal is great -- I have experienced no leakage at all (unlike the traditional type). It's also very easy to clean, and has an attractive design. Another great product from (OXO).

Easy to use and clean. Eventually rubber gets old and needs replacing

The bottom is removable. After a few months the bottom will start falling off and draining your sink. Unless you can afford to waste $12 every six months, you'll want to keep the package to make exchanging it easier. I learned the hard way. It will fall apart. You will have to replace it. I was stupid enough to pay to replace 3 of them. I will return them from now on. It's a $4 product at best.
