This product worked like a charm to remove stripped screws from a door hinge. It took me less than 3 minutes to remove three screws. Just a word of caution: go slow. Use the drill side to drill out the screw. Then, flip the bit and use the other side to back out screw.

Do not purchase
I purchased these screw extractors to remove screws from a hardiebacker sub-floor--they rarely worked. I returned them and do not recommend purchasing this item.

Didn't work for me
Had high hopes for a quick and easy soltion as we had a phillips screw-head that was totally stripped. Followed the provided instructions, but had no luck getting it to extract the screw, so $15 down the drain.. Ended up having to saw off the top of the screwhead with a mini metal sawblade.

Waste of money
Was useless iI couldn't remove any of my screws. There may be another product that lives up to the promise of doing what it says itll do.

Grade 8.8 bolt.
I couldn't get this set to work with a grade 8.8 bolt. It would barely make a mark in it. I will try it again and up date this review.

STyubborn screws tools
This extractor set prove extremely handy for the removal of screws otherwise unmovable, it did the job in almost no time and with little effort.

Not worth it.
What can be said? It has only one job...and it does not do it. I would have returned it but I figured I would keep it and see if it actually works on other types of screws down the road, but it doesn't do any thing but continue to strip the screws I try and remove.

They SUCK
I tried using this screw extracting system and never got it to remove one screw that was made of lightly made product. They did not work for me... They dug more holes in the screw tops but never would work to repel the screws and I had to use a different method for removing the screws.

Poor construction
Followed the directions, drilled the hole, went to extract the bolt, and the bit snapped off lodging in the bolt. Not worth the money.

50% Of Any Screw Extractors That Works, Pays For Itself!
40 yrs ago, in the USN onboard there were no such tools! Esp. for sheared broken HP valve studs. Only way was drilling the broken studs, screwing into stud, then heating the valve to expand it, then praying not to make the problem worse. Onboard we didn't carry spare valves and had to make due. First time I used 'EZ-Outs,' 'Grabbers', etc. after the Navy, I knew they would have been a Godsend back then (and money-saver). I know exaggerating, but It was like comparing a slide rule to a computer. They would have been considered a miracle to be able to use. There's never any way to guarantee, they don't always work for one or another reason, but if there's at least a 50 - 75% success rate, think of the savings in comparison to the cost of replacing an item. Back then, they would've been considered a miracle. It's the 'simple tools' we seem to overlook on what it used to be like before being invented.

Got the broken bolt out
The bolt that holds the blade on a walk behind mower snapped. The bit to drill out 1/8 inch hole needs to be better. It did little. I used my own bit to do this. Once this is done you use the extract bit The bolt came right out.

Don't waste your money
IMO it's best to just spend the money and get a decent extractor kit. These are very poorly made. Just another "as seen on tv " piece of junk.

Sigh
I was trying to extract screws from an automobile trunk wing (fiberglass) in which the screws were so corroded the holes just kept disintegrating. I bought this kit, hoping to diy the job. Sadly, though I got one to grab, it couldn't turn the screw, and on the other three, though I did the same thing as the first, the extracting end never grabbed hold. I will have to go to an auto body shop and hope they can do it! Perhaps this will work on some other job...

Great Product!
The head of one of the screws for holding parts of an electronic deadbolt together was stripped. I attached one of the Ontel Speed Out Screw Extractor bits on an 18 Volt Ryobi Drill/Driver. After following the instructions that came with product, I was able to extract the stripped screw without any hassle.

Not worth the money
I bought this to remove some painted over screws on my deck. Nothing too serious. About five seconds in, the drill side had worn all the way down. The bigger sizes did the same. I will be returning it later.
(and just to note, yes, I did read the instructions and followed them to a T)
It's just not a very well made product.

DO NOT BUY
This product is a complete waste of money. It is not even close to being as easy to use as they make it seem. I struggled with it for 10 minutes on a screw before i gave up and cut the screw out.

Worked great
I used this to remove a stripped Spax #8 2-inch screw. It worked like a charm and was super easy. It's important to read the directions carefully - you must run the tool with your drill in reverse, even when using the "drilling" end of the bit. It also explicitly says not to use an impact driver also.

wishing it would work
Got this for one of those just incase moments. I ended up having to remove a strpped screw so I took out my screw extractor kit.... Long story short this didnt work at all in fact it made it worst. I ended up using my rotary tool to cut a slit and then used a big flat head screw driver to get out the stripped screw. I wish it worked.
Pros :
nice case
various sizes
Cons:
not good for some scenarios
small size broke easily

A handy set for the money
I found myself drilling out hardened fittings that had snapped and resisted being drilled out. I went through a number of bits to make the initial cavity, then used this set to finish the job. It was time consuming, but I got it done. The "easy out" side of this set does a much better job of grabbing the well of the drilled out head than does a standard easy out. I imagine that this set would work great for snapped screws and other non-hardened hardware (haven't had the opportunity to try it yet myself). In any case, this is a smart addition to the tool arsenal!

Very limited uses
Only good for one or two screws. The blades become worn after that and have more trouble gripping the next. Would suggest just cutting a line in top of screw and using flat head to remove. This product is not worth the money.

works... sort of
This is a double sided extractor, one side to drill the pilot hole, the other side for the extraction itself. The drill side of this sucks, I mean there is just no polite way to say it. I spent 15-20 minutes attempting to drill the hole for the extractor and barely got 1/16". At that point I grabbed a corresponding drill bit, drilled the broken bolt in about 15 seconds, inserted the extractor and it came right out. So yeah the product pulled the bolt like it was supposed to and didn't shear off or strip it self out like some of the cheaper ones. Just don't expect the drill side of it work, it flat out does not and you will need a matching drill bit.
For reference, I was extracting a 1/4" bolt that sheared off the drive shaft yoke on my Jeep, It was a tad rusty and not grade 8. I did not use any PB blaster, heat, or anything more than a touch of cutting oil on the drill bits.

I should have read the directions
When I received the product in the mail I read the package and it says its not recommended for drywall screws. I needed it for deck screws which are made of similar metal. The product didn't work so well. However it works great on softer metal screws.

Actually worked well
Stripped the rotor retaining screw on one of my wheels while replacing my rotors. Bought the "Speed Out Screw Extractor" after a recommendation form a Home Depot associate. Followed the directions and started the process using my drill, but ultimately had to back the screw out by hand with the extractor.

Works!
I followed the easy 3 step instructions and out came the screw that was securing the bathtub water flow handle so this saved me at least a $200 plumber bill. I would say the biggest area to screw up (pun intended) is not using your drill in reverse for both steps. It may seem strange for the first step but that's how it works.

Works as intended
They work as intended, very handy to have in the tool kit. Would be nice if it included a smaller size.
