Hi David, thank you for your review. Sometimes a smell can occur, described as a burnt sweet smell, due to the process for cooking the insulation binder. This smell will often dissipate within two weeks, especially if air flow is introduced to the insulation. If the smell persists, please contact our insulation team at 1-800-GETPINK

I really love how itch free Owens Corning has made their insulation. That feature is 5 star. Having to order 8 bags will make project tricky to not end up short or have leftovers.
