Yes this product turned out better than expected. It brightened my garage and added personality to the space.I would say 2-3 coats for better coverage. I look forward to using the other colors by this brand for future spaces.

HUSHED COPPER METALLIC PAINT. I'm doing a project where I was hoping to accent the 4" space in between vinyl quartz stucco and I was expecting to be metallic shiny finish to some extent, I even call the PPG to check did I have make mistake on applying the paint to the wall and PPG costumer rep. said I did not, or better say I did it right way. I hate to say that paint did not meet my expatiation being the metallic, but as a paint it self it is a high end quality paint simply because the first coat was going really smooth and drying consistently without major imperfections. I was expecting more of shimmering glow of copper in it after the second coat, instead I got the more of chocolate brown eggshell finish, I'm fine with that but some people may expected more from the paint that is explained as a HUSHED COPPER METALLIC. In the can paint looks like is going to be metallic but when is dry on the wall paint louse the metallic property and become more like eggshell finish. (See the pick) Believe me even with what I say about this particular paint it is really good and is going on walls smooth and consistent and I would buy it again because of it property. As I maintenance personal who paint the walls almost every month 1st week in the month the PPG paint is among the best paints on the market. Only this paint in my PERSONAL opinion is wrongly advertised as a metallic paint.

I was excited to use the Golden Saffron Metallic Interior Specialty Finish Paint but was very disappointed with the overall performance of the paint. I have am not a professional but have a good amount of experience in painting and this paint did not work well or look good (vs Emerald for example). I started with a double primed formerly painted wall which would be better then what most people start with. After a some serious mixing I noticed the paint was very thin but I followed instructions. The instructions clearly state that their will be overlap marks after 1st coat. I did the first coat waited 24 hours and then re coated and still had a crazy amount of overlap marks. I figured at that point I would try a third coat being super careful to keep a wet edge, etc. Still a lot of overlap marks to the point I will be painting over the wall with another paint. Thoughts: Could be the color, but horrible hiding ability Streaks everywhere even after multiple coats. Very thin paint, lacking pigment?

Metallic paint for interior application may be a new concept to decorate your home. Having received this paint for I can get a chance to try this new paint. there are not much information about this paint. I had read some people review after used the paint, some say good some not acceptable. So, I try to do in two separate way to see how the result are. I got two plain wood board in bare wood. One I keep it in bare wood and another one I put the white primer on it. On the bare wood, if paint one layer, I can see it almost as a transparent color but I can see a gentle metallic shinny over the wood, even I apply 2 nd layer just cover a bit better but still an see the wood texture. On the primer board, I apply one layer only a pearl light finishing already shown. Paint a 2 nd. layer, the metallic finish becomes more solid. I took some picture for people who like to share the idea. But the pictures result is not as good as I expect for. Because, I took it under strong sun light. So, my opinion is when you going to paint with this particular metallic paint, better test sample before you paint on wall or else will be more secure. Even you may a need primer to back up this paint. I hope people who like to paint this Metallic paint will get good result and enjoy this wonderful color. Oh, don;t forget, they have so many different dolor for your choice.

The PPG abundant blue metallic interior specialty finish paint requires two coats of paint. I shook the can and then opened it and stirred it. I applied the paint using a 6" roller with a 3/8" nap. I applied it to previously painted wallboard. I found it best if you applied it in one direction and if you add more paint in a different direction come back to the original direction so you get a uniform color. I also applied it to wood and plywood. On the edges of the wood the metallic color really showed in a lighter shade like a highlight. I also used it on stucco which even worked best. This a high quality paint that really shows off in bright sun.

I took many pictures of this paint, in different light and there is no way to show off its true color. It changes color with every move one makes and in every light. Mainly this color in normal light is DARK. When light shines on it, it gives a little metallic shine, not nearly as bright as in photo with flash (flash brightness). This paint is MUCH darker than it appears in my photo. I find this paint and this color to be "perfect" to my taste. The metallic "bling" is not over the top, it basically shows off it's gray-silver metallic shine-sparkle in bright light without giving up its base darkness. If you ever wanted a black wall, but nervous, this is a wonder go between color as I said it can appear bright / lighter in light, the harder brighter the light the more the metallic will shine / sparkle. It requires two coats. Using crisscross strokes with a brush will create a textured effect with a little more bling, sparkle. Very low odor. Easy to clean up, water will wipe up a spill with easy while paint is still wet. Highly recommend the paint and the color.

I took 20+ photos in different light and it is impossible to display the true color of this metallic paint. It changes color with every light and lack of light. In darker light it becomes a very dark mint green without the blaze of the metallic. In direct light it becomes an extremely bright white-mint. Whatever "light" color you choose consider what you see as 2x lighter in light and 2-3x darker in dim light. This paints con's are also its pro's; If desire is a smooth surface, a roller and or same stroke will give the smooth shimmer however, if one uses crisscross strokes with a paint brush, this paint will make textured patterns. Must be painting onto a smooth un-dinged wall, unlike paint without metallic that can cover up and hide dings in walls, this metallic paint will show every ding, blemish to the extreme in the light. This paint is not over the top, an entire room painted would be beautiful however, personally I believe it would be better as an accent wall to show off its extreme bling more, at least with the lighter, brighter colors. Very low odor. Easy to clean up. Highly recommend this paint.

I used this paint on a lot of different surfaces in a hall I was totally redoing. It was fantastic on metal and tile believe it or not. If you are painting a solid look it takes several coats (3 sometimes) because the paint is rather thin. The thin is not a negative though since metallic paints look so good as a glaze finish. This particular color is a bit too dark for large areas although it looks really good on doors. It was the easiest brush cleaning ever since it's a thin consistency. If you have troubles try again, but remix your paint frequently during your session.

PPG SILVER TONE FINISH I just received this 1 gallon of Mucho Mint Metallic Interior Specialty Finish Paint, and it is such a pretty color. It has a sleek and luminous look. The color is rich and it just glides on super smoothly. This is great for walls, trim, crafts and other surfaces throughout your home. It definitely adds a touch of class with a hint of bling. It is available in 42 colors, so coordinating with your décor is made easy. The finish is similar to a hammered look. One gallon will cover approximately 200 square feet with two coats. It is not a paint and primer all in one, though it mixes easily and glides on with ease. This paint is made by PPG, a Global Leader in Paint Technology. You can apply this either with a sprayer or paint brush. I love the luxurious finish, and also the fact that clean up is a breeze, using soap and water. I find that it dries fairly quickly and has a glossy finish. I plan to use some of this on my crafts, especially for Christmas. This particular color is a light glossy green, perfect for my Christmas crafting. I highly recommend this paint. I know you won't be disappointed. Like I said earlier there are 42 colors to chose from so you can't go wrong. I want to apologize for one of my photos, the one of the can, being sideways. I resized and rotated it several times trying to correct it, to no avail.

PPG AGRICULTURAL FINISHES I just received this PPG Metallic Tone Finish, and it is absolutely beautiful. I love the hint of metallic it has. It is a luscious rich color that shimmers just enough, but not too much. This will no doubt add luxury to your wall, trim and any other architectural elements in your home. This is an interior specialty color, and like the product overview states, it does look like a hammered metal finish. This can be used on various types of crafts also. This finish will definitely add a little bling where you want it. As you will see in my video, I painted a piece of scrape wood to show how it looks with one, two or three coats. One gallon will cover approximately 200 square feet, and that's using two coats. This product is made by PPG, a Global Leader in Paint Technology. It states this is dry to the touch in approximately 45 minutes, but lesser time if using one coat. This Metallic Finish is not a Paint and Primer in one. It has satin base material and is easy clean up with soap and water. I highly recommend this Metallic Finish because it comes in various colors to match any decor. In fact, I believe it states it comes in 42 curated colors. This is a great product so give it a try.

Used SEVERAL Methods beyond manufactures recommended and it leave brush marks and streaks in the finish.. Applying over textured surfaces is the ONLY time this will leave a nice finish..

The paint produces a beautiful result and lighting makes color(s) seemingly amporphic. There is definitely a ‘learning curve’ for application; professional painters will cringe, but DIY’ers and faux painters seem to do fine. My first use of PPG Metallic, have used other faux paints previously (like suedes and granites). I’ve applied and lived with the product for a couple of months and have received many compliments in person and via photos; am loving it myself. So far, so good!. Had a bit of an issue at edges mostly because I did not have a tall enough ladder at the wall/ceiling line to ‘sponge’ directly on. Still, worked for our project and we call it ‘character. Will use in other areas, still deciding on color(s) - wish manufacturer had small packets of actual product available, larger paint colors on brochure and more colors.

I have done three walls with this color ! Two coats each . Its a beautiful bronze metallic color . I love it ! Goes on well ! Make sure your wall is clean / white or primered . I started with white walls and it went on well ! Make sure you do two coats and it looks great ! Gorgeous !

I'm so disappointed with the substance, consistency, color, and application of PPG metallic paint. The color is not true to the sample. I used two gallons of paint to achieve cover up the primer; otherwise, you would not even know that the walls were painted with the metallic paint. Needless to say, the hopeful experience of this purchase was the third time that I used PPG metallic paint on my walls. Each time, the paint job from the very thin and inconsistent paint was dissatisfactory. My next metallic paint job will be some other brand based on other customers' reviews. OMG, never again!~

This paint was expensive and had no body. It was all pigment. The website shows 360sqft of coverage for two coats. Not only is that so far from truth because of it being horrible quality, but even the can says 200 sqft. I ended up having to buy all new paint to cover this mess and lost a lot of $

Great paint, I sprayed it and worked perfectly. Gives a nice warm color and in light you see the gold base. Dries fast and is easy to cleanup.

Very pretty, elegant color. I've read reviews of how thin the paint is, but I actually like it since I was using it on the back of an open shelf cabinet, so it shows the grain. I did two coats and mixed a 1 to 3 ratio of water to paint, just so I could still get even coverage but also to let the grain show subtly.

The paint was very translucent and required 4 coats before it would begin to cover new drywall that was primed. The color was nice.

Did not look like color chart. Was not metallic looking with correct application

Should have watched our painters a bit closer. They ended up spraying it on and therefore does not have much of the metallic look. Still looks good and a very slight metallic sheen so we are not redoing it, but just a reminder that how this is applied will probably change the end results significantly.

Great quality paint and the color looks great on my bricks.
